In the following month that Nash worked as Andrius’ bodyguard, he noticed that his employer was a workaholic.
One that often forgets to eat.
Even during business meetings at lunch or dinner, Andrius often became too enthralled in the discussion to eat more than one or two bites of the food.
He saw firsthand the consequences of not eating well while living in the slums. He knew that at this pace, Andrius was bound to fall ill sooner or later.
Since the talk they had on the terrace of the group headquarters, Nash feels he has gotten much closer to his employer. They would often engage in small talk during Andrius’ breaks. That’s why the omega felt bold enough to try to persuade the blonde man to eat.
It was common for the Yaskov heir to grumble an automatic ‘yes, just a second’ without even looking up. At other times, he would take two or three symbolic bites and immediately return to his work.
It couldn’t keep going like this.
There was a knock on the door. The butler of the Yaskov manor called Winston and came, bringing a tray of food. Andrius had arranged for this to be the norm, as he didn't want to waste time getting to the dining room for such a menial task. Despite this convenience, the busy man continued to struggle with eating regularly.
"Sir, your lunch is ready."
Andrius grumbled an acknowledgment but didn’t take his eyes off the documents.
"Sir, you need to eat," Nash insisted, hoping to break through Andrius's intense focus. "The documents won’t run away."
"Give me a minute. This is critical."
Based on the workaholic master's answer, Nash knew he wouldn’t eat all day if he let him.
The bodyguard lifted the lid off the tray. Today’s lunch was a truffle risotto. As Andrius didn’t eat much or even nothing at all, his food portions were simple.
He took the plate and a fork and went to Andrius.
"Sir, please open your mouth."
As Andrius was absorbed in the documents, he automatically opened his mouth.
Nash slipped some of the food into Andrius’ mouth.
"What are you doing?" Andrius asked, feeling both startled and flustered as he finally noticed what was happening.
"As your bodyguard, I must watch over your well-being," Nash said, trying to keep his voice calm. "If you keep skipping meals, you'll collapse. Since you don’t want to stop reviewing the documents, I’ll just ensure you can eat while still working."
"You! This is not appropriate." Andrius protested.
"Sir, you don’t need to feel shy. We’re both omegas," Nash said as he scooped another spoon of rice. "Please open your mouth again."
Despite his reluctance, Andrius complied. Nash continued to feed him small bites of food, ignoring the growing sense of guilt over the inappropriate nature of their interaction. But he couldn't stand by and watch Andrius slowly destroy himself.
Nash then proceeded to feed Andrius. He made a mental note to go to the kitchen and ask the cook for some healthy and easy-to-feed snacks.
Andrius’s attention shifted back to his documents, but he kept opening his mouth when Nash asked him. For some reason, Nash felt that the omega heir’s mood was pretty good.
What Nash didn't notice was that since he started feeding Andrius, the man's eyes had been gazing blankly at the document without moving.
There was a new knock on the door. From the outside, Max called out.
"Sir? It’s time for Nash and me to switch turns."
Andrius nodded slowly.
"Please wait there."
Nash quickly took the finished plate and the tray, ready to take them back to the kitchen.
"Then, sir, I’ll take my leave."
Andrius nodded absentmindedly as the bodyguard quickly bid farewell and left quickly with a sense of fulfillment for finally making his employer eat.
As soon as the door closed, Andrius slumped over his desk, burying his face in his arms. He let out a deep sigh and muttered to himself.
Nash is a tough and smart bodyguard, but he faces a difficult time finding a job due to his status as a male omega. However, when he is contracted as a bodyguard for the young master of the powerful Yaskov conglomerate, Andrius Yaskov, Nash sees an opportunity to prove his worth and earn a steady income.
Andrius is a man with a cold demeanor and is full of secrets. He is used to keeping a guarded attitude to protect himself and his family business. But a silly omega keeps trying to enter his heart. Andrius begins to rely on Nash's strength and intelligence, until he slowly becomes attached to the omega bodyguard.
Will Nash be able to unravel the secrets that surround his new employer, or will the danger prove too great for even our omega bodyguard to handle?
