“Hello, Mother*. Is this a convenient time to speak?”
“Is it not Mina? Why are you acting like a stranger? I see you and Kaycee as my daughters. There is no wrong time to call me.”
Lee Da-Hye gently chided as she reminded Mina to speak freely.
“Mother*; Kaycee fell sick. She stays in her bedroom most of the time except when she needs to use the restroom. If mother* and father* can come to visit, it could help Kaycee recover,” said Mina as her voice shook with sorrow.
“My daughter is stubborn like her father; if her sickness is bad, I trust you will not let her stay home. Do not worry. I will leave Andong with her father. We should be there before seven,” said Lee Da-Hye.
“Okay, Mother* have a safe trip together with Father.*"
After the call ended, her eyes hardened in readiness for what lay ahead.

The Lee family arrived at the doorstep of their daughter at around six that evening and received by Mina; their voices reached the ears of Kaycee, and she became energized and got up from her bed.
“My goodness! What happened to my daughter? You have lost so much weight!” said Lee Da-Hye cheerlessly.
Lee Seon-ho and his wife rushed to their daughter when they saw how pale Kaycee had become.
“I’M PREGNANT!” angrily shouted Kaycee.
Something within Kaycee snapped when she saw the worry in their eyes; she did not know whether to blame it on her pregnancy hormones or because she was in her apartment without going out to get fresh air.
“What does she mean by she is pregnant, Mina?” Stunned by her outrageous announcement, the couple turned to the only person they could trust to decipher what they just heard.
When Kaycee missed her period after a visit to the doctor’s office for a pap smear, she dismissed it as stress-related; when the third month was around the corner. Her monthly visitor was strangely absent, and that was when Kaycee knew that it had gone beyond stress. Worried that something didn’t seem right, a trip to her local drug store and two lines on the absorbent stick from the pregnancy kit sent her world crashing down.
Jiho believed in the noblesse duty of showing kindness and being selfless by offering to be an anonymous sperm donor without prior knowledge of his ultra-conservative affluent family. All hell breaks loose when his identity is no longer a secret, thanks to medical misconduct.
