I remember waking up. I couldn't see but my back felt like I was laying on a cold surface. I then heard my father's voice followed by multiple other people.
"Orion! Orion! Let me through!" His body was still bleeding profusely from the battle with Selene.
"Sir calm down, you need to get some rest, look at yourself!" A female scientist said trying to calm down Cetus.
"Father…?" Orion tilted his head as he couldn't see anything. "NGH!" He had a pair of bandages over his eyes as he tried to take them off.
"Lad! Stop, stop! Don't take those off yet your ocular abilities will activate if you take those off. Give us a few more hours and you'll be perfectly fine I promise" A male scientist said with a worried tone.
"Huff…Huff.." Cetus finally made his way through as he went to his son's side and held his hand. "Listen to them son, I'll be right by your side until they're done doing what they have to do."
"But it hurts!" Orion said, trying to get the bandages off of his eyes until Cetus stopped him.
"How much longer will it take to craft a device to regulate his ocular powers?" Cetus said, holding Tom's hand and his own chest from the pain.
"About 2 and a half more hours give or take. How long has this been happening exactly? Recently? A few months? Give us a time frame" One scientist said.
"About 2 years ago when he was 5 years old. His eyes start emitting a strong bright light but he's not able to control it. I think it has to do with our clan's awakening." Cetus said, still holding onto his son's hand.
"Interesting? Usually, members of our clan unlock their awakening around 15 to 17 years of age. A 7-year-old let alone a 5-year-old child shouldn't be able to harness the power that has been bestowed upon our ancestor's many eons ago. This is unprecedented."
"Orion.." He clutched his son's hand with both of his.
The female scientist said while looking at her computer trying to not focus on Cetus in order to not feel bad. "Now we have how long it's been happening any idea why this is occurring?"
"I know I realized that myself earlier today. That was the time my wife passed away so it could be related to that as some form of trauma. Even members of his class can harness Galaxy Energy and can expel some form of energy no matter how small but Orion can't yet." Cetus said while catching his breath.
"To me personally it sounds like he may be a late bloomer who lacks proper control of his powers. Although It could be your theory as well nevertheless we will have a simple yet effective device ready." The female scientist said as she began clacking away on her keyboard.

Orion continued to try and scratch the bandages around his eyes for the next couple of hours as Cetus stopped him every chance he got. A group of scientists entered the room and looked at Cetus and Orion. Cetus quickly stood up despite his injuries and stumbled over to the scientists.
"Well is it done?" Cetus said barely able to talk or stand at this point. "Please tell me if it's done…"
"Well you and your son are in luck, the device is done and here it is." The male scientist moved aside as two female scientists held a pair of black shades in their hands.
"This? This is the device? They look like ordinary Eyewear to me." He said while trying to catch his breath.
"On the contrary, this device will regulate the amount of Galaxy Energy he can use at one given moment. Therefore taming the intense power of his "pseudo awakening" as we've now deemed it." One of the scientists said.
"Although he won't be able to harness energy blasts with this intact he can still maintain the ability to fly whenever he learns how to do so. The device or glasses are shaped memory so there's no need to worry about him growing out of them. They can also be taken off with ease if needed like regular glasses." Another scientist said
"We do recommend not to take the glasses off until his power has been regulated and is stable. So just keep in mind the pros and the cons. We believe if he wears them long enough there won't be a need for him to wear them anymore." The female scientist who was on the computer from before said to Cetus.
"That all sounds wonderful, please give them to him right now!" Cetus said with a smile.
The scientists nodded as they slowly unwrapped the bandages off of Orion's face as he was fidgeting around in pain. His father told him to relax and that it'll all be better soon. Orion held his eyes as the bandages were now off as the scientists slowly removed his eyes.
"Oh my goodness." One of the scientists said in pure shock.
"Huff...Huff..! IT HURTS!" Orion's pupils were a fierce white as it looked like he was being possessed by something. "MAKE IT STOP!"
Orion shrieked out in pain as the scientists hovered the shades slowly over his eyes. Orion screeched once more as the shades quickly formed around his eyes as he slowly calmed down.
"Huff...Huff.." Orion touched his face as he felt the shades. "It stopped hurting."
"Orion, you're okay now. Thank the cosmos."
"Daddy! I was so scared!" Orion turned into a slobbering ball of tears as he hugged his father tightly.
"I know son it's okay now. You'll all better now!" He lifted his son up and held him as he slowly stopped crying. "That's my boy. Everything's okay now."
"Really?" He sniffled as he then started to giggle. "Hehe!"
"Hehe!" He tossed his son up and down as they both giggled and laughed. "Hehe." He set his son down and smiled and thanked the scientists. "Say thank you, Orion."
"Um, thank you. Ma'ams and misters." He said bowing his head in appreciation.
The scientists giggled and bowed back towards Orion and Cetus.
"Now that the main issue is taken care of, your wounds need to be addressed now. It's impressive you even managed to stand let alone talk for more than an hour." The female scientist said.
"Hehe, that's nothing. I wouldn't be taken down so easily-" He felt his legs give out on him as he slumped over onto the ground.
"Daddy!" Orion grabbed onto his father and shook him as the scientists surrounded him.
"Call the medical department this instant! He's losing a lot of blood!"
After my problem was taken care of my Father collapsed shortly after. I was scared but the scientists and medical team informed me he'd be alright.
Over the next few weeks, my father made a speedy recovery and everything went back to normal, but unknown to me my father's next mission would be the mission that affected not only his life but mine as well the most.

In a rocky wasteland Cetus and the rest of the Star Clan military members that recovered from the previous battle were scouting for members of the Moon Clan.
"Remember to conserve your energy men we chose to attack when the suns reach their peak so that we can fight at our top performance! Wait till that moment and we will strike! For now, keep your energy levels low so that they can't track us!" Cetus said while commanding his troops.
"Hey man, I mean Sir!" Crux said nervously as Cetus calmed him down. "Are your wounds healed fully? The last time I saw you, you were unconscious in a hospital bed."
"Honestly I'm not sure my wounds or even the rest of our squad's wounds are healed by King Draco ordered us to pursue the moon clan once more after that defeat we suffered a few weeks back. Personally, I don't want us to lose any more men but we've been butting our heads with the moon clan for decades so this has to end soon." Cetus said, clenching his fist.
"Hey I get what you mean honestly sometimes I think the whole soldier thing isn't for me but hey I'm still pretty young hopefully when this is over I'll settle down with my future wife ya know!" He said, chuckling.
"Seriously, are women the only thing you care about? And we're only 3 years apart in age. Young is overselling it." Cetus chuckled.
"Hey man you have a kid and I don't there's a clear difference! Speaking of which, it's been 2 years since Lyra passed. Have you thought about getting back on the dating scene?" Crux asked. "Well honestly knowing you, your luck with women is subpar. You've been better at leading and fighting. I'm better at getting chicks!" He smirked.
He said smirking and crossing his arms. "Is that so? When was the last time you've been on a date?"
"Uh! Well, that doesn't matter, I have a bunch of options! What about you do you have anyone in mind?"
Cetus thought to himself as his face turned blue. "The last time I encountered a woman she tried to rip my head off. Granted she was from the Moon Clan but still. Knowing how persistent she was and her skull level, I've got to be vigilant if she shows up again today."
Crux waved his hand in front of Cetus as he snapped back into reality. "You get lost in the cosmos or something?"
"Heh, good one just thinking. Also Crux I appreciate what you did for Orion back then. If that continued his condition would've gotten worse and worse. You're a valuable friend and ally both on and off the battlefield." Cetus said as he put his hand on Crux's shoulder.
Crux rubbed the back of his head and became bashful. "Hey man, I mean Sir, it was nothing. You'd do the same for me if my son's eyes were about to pop out his head."
"That's not what happen-" Cetus turned his head quickly as he felt something.
"Was it something I said?" Crux said with an awkward laugh.
"No. They're lowering their energy just like us so I can't sense where they are, but the atmosphere has changed. They're coming but I don't know from where." Cetus said with a stern look.
Cetus and Crux stood still for a moment as Cetus kept his head on a swivel. Cetus felt a sharp spike in energy levels as a crimson blast struck one of his soldier's watchtowers.
"THEY'RE HERE MEN PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" Cetus yelled as his men all went into their awakened states ready for battle. "DEPLOY A SQUAD TO TEND TO THE WOUNDED EVERYONE ELSE GO ABOUT THE BATTLE AS WE PLANNED!"
"Crap! Well if we make it out of this I'm totally taking you to a bar so you can meet some chicks!" Crux said as he flew off into the distance.
Cetus flew up high into the air and surveyed the area. He looked around like he was trying to find something as he saw her. Selene the Moon Clan woman who almost struck him down in combat a few weeks ago.
Selene was acting as the general to the Moon Clan soldiers giving them every move and planning out strategies. Cetus flew down in the midst of the chaos about 30 feet away from Selene.
"Hmph. Seems like you returned Cetus of the Star Clan." Selene said.
"And it seems you're itching for a rematch huh?" Cetus said, clenching his fists.
"Oh look at you trying to get to know me." She cleared her throat and stomped on the ground. 'MEN! LISTEN WELL! NO ONE SHALL ENGAGE IN COMBAT WITH CETUS OF THE STAR CLAN EXCEPT ME! THAT IS A DIRECT ORDER! KEEP MAKING THEIR FORCES WAVER BEFORE THE TWIN SUNS HIT THEIR PEAK!"
Selene's men replied to her agreeing to not interfere with her battle no matter what as Selene made a sadistic grin towards Cetus.
"She knows about our plan. These Moon clan members aren't the brainless savages I thought they were. " Cetus thought to himself. "Tch. Can't help it anymore then. I'll just keep following the plan."
Selene ran forward picking up incredible speed despite not being in her awakening as she fired off multiple punches towards Cetus which he dodged. Selene headbutted Cetus as he skids back with a bruise now on his forehead.
"For such a small woman, you really are a fearsome creature. I guess gender or size doesn't matter when addressing you moon clan members, you're all beasts regardless, but you certainly are the most interesting and prideful one I've ever fought." Cetus said waiting for Selene to attack.
"Save your compliments for when you're groveling on your knees begging for mercy you damn Star Clan Member. We already know your plan that damn King thinks he's so battle savvy. You've Star Clan members have used this battle tactic for years to topple us but this time it won't work."
"If that's what you think then you don't know our King. Unlike President Elara, King Draco isn't a coward who results in cheap tactics like you Moon clan members." Cetus said.
"Hmph. Whatever helps you sleep at night. In the end, it doesn't matter because right before the suns reach their peak my men and I will have erased you damn golden-haired imbeciles' existences out of this entire star system." Selene said as she rushed towards Cetus again.
Cetus backflipped and fired an energy wave out toward Selene who was sent flying into a rock. Cetus let out a battle cry and began an assault of energy beams on Selene.
Piles of debris fell onto Selene's body as she stood up with a battle cry and transformed only her mouth into that of a wolf. She opened her mouth then clenched her teeth and teleported behind Cetus.
"NO, YOU DON'T!" Cetus grappled onto Selene's mouth holding it shut as he flung her into the air. "Tricky bastard aren't ya?'
"RAAAGH!" She opened her mouth still able to fire a small amount of the mouth cannon at Cetus as he deflected it with his hand. "I see you aren't using your Awakening huh."
"I could say the same about you. Only partially transforming your body to catch me off guard. What are you planning?" Cetus said angrily.
"The answer to that is simply I know you even after only one battle. You're calm and your movements are sharp and precise. You're selfless and courageous as well and willing to sacrifice yourself for those you care about."
"Flatter me some more will ya." He said sarcastically.
"Heh, and not to mention during this fight with the pre-existing knowledge I have of your plan you won't awaken until the suns hit their peak to conserve energy. One look I can tell your soldiers are doing the same so I commanded my men to do the same as well. We have about 10 more minutes till the suns hit their peak and you'll be fully charged
"You little…" Cetus growled.
"My men will wear your soldiers out with our superior biology and then your golden white light will fade away into nothingness." Selene said with a grin.
"You do realize you and your men could lose if my soldiers still have enough fighting force left when the suns reaches its peak. Don't tell me you're.."
"That's right, leaving it all up to a gamble. Will your men last until they get their second wind, or will my men crush them before they even get a chance? That's how I want this game of ours to play out Cetus. So come on, we have about 9 more minutes left."
LET'S PLAY!
Selene rushed at Cetus with her hand now morphed into that of a wolf's claw. Cetus rushed forward as well clashing fists with Selene as the ground under them cracked.
"Let's see whose plan is the best! CETUS OF THE STAR CLAN!"
"What a bothersome woman." Cetus thought to himself as he continued the fight with Selene.
