A cold winter day. Today is my 17th birthday and yet...I feel no older. I see the same people I see everyday from the same point of view.

"Good morning David" I say to my secret boyfriend aka best friend. "Good morning Louis" He smiles warmingly at me, making me feel as if it wasnt winter anymore.

We stood beside eachother walking to school. "Happy birthday by the way" he says to me with his hand grazing mine every now and then. "Thanks" I smiled at him. My soul was set on fire by this certain male. Even if I wasnt out the closet as gay yet, he made everything better.

I'm now a 17 year old, closeted gay male with a secret from everyone. A secret boyfriend. If people at school knew that the prince at the school was gay? A war would break out...

"So wheres my present" I slightly nudged him playfully. "You'll get it later when I take you out for lunch" He looks over at me with a bonk to the head. "I cant wait that long~" I wine annoyingly. I wanted my suprise now! Maybe it would be a kiss...our first kiss...

Maybe I just think too much.

"No! Just wait Louis" He grunts. I sigh and nod."Fine, I guess I can wait" I smile reassuringly to him. I had to make sure he wasnt mad at me or something. He nods and puts back on the smile that I love.

"You know, your smile suits you" I say to him, looking straight to our school sign. "Yeah, that's only because you make me do it" He ruffles my hair. "I love you and your British accent" he laughs.

I roll my eyes making way to enter the school. I remove my hand away from his and to the back of my head. He looks at me, as if he was a lost and cold puppy on the streets.

Sorry, but you know it's not my time yet David.

"Hey, good morning Louis!" The class president said to me. I wave at her, her red dyed hair swinging. "Dyed your hair again?" I grin. "Its burgundy this time" She giggles back at me. I snort and give her a high five. "Your hair is dying" I say.

"So is my mental health but hey! This helps me cope" She said, reminding me of her ADHD. I laugh at her as her eyes got bigger. "Oh yeah, happy birthday by the way!" She hands me a small bag, her nose started heating up. "Thanks!" I say, she walks off with a wave.

By the time I get to my first class I already have about 10 gifts in my hand with a balloon. "Woah~ someone is getting richer with bags" Xay'Deen says with a big grin on his face. "That made no sense so shut your face" I roll my eyes.

"Whatever, happy birthday dude" he punches my shoulder and hands me a card. "What do I do with this?" I smirk at him. "Read it, duh".

I open it to see $10 sticking to it with a 100 dollar wendy's card. "Thanks man!" I say, giving him a fist bump. "No problem. You better use it to. I almost got killed over that!" He crosses his arms and I laugh. "Okay, but your coming with me when I use it" I wink.

But I still wonder what David got me...

School has ended about 2 hours ago and I ate about 30 minutes ago. David took me to my favorite place to eat and we went to the arcade, but now...were in a hotel room. The door locked.

David holds my hands gently. The pit of my stomach was empty. I could hear my heartbeat thumping out of my ears. The neasua feeling I had to throw up everything I just ate.

"So..we've been dating for a whole now and for your birthday I wanted to ask a serious question. For us.." He says, rubbing my knuckles with his thumbs. His eyes full on mine.

" I want us to take it to the next level."

Oh lord...my stomach... I cant handle this. We havent even had our first kiss yet! Was this too quick? Or was this the perfect time? Maybe this would be my only chance with a guy...but do I really want to do this...Am I overthinking?

"I want to make love to you Louis"
