An aching in the back of my head woke me up, I gently rubbed it to get rid of the pain.

“Are you alright? That was a big bump.”

I turned to my left and saw an old lady sitting right next to me. I didn’t say anything and looked around. I was on a crowded train, with people touching shoulders to shoulders. “Where am I?” I said out loud.

“You’re on a train going to Beijing, sweetheart.” The lady said.

I touched my throat in surprise that I could make noises, I turned to the lady with a smile, but changed my expression quickly as I saw the red words saying “Reward.” I turned to the front of my seat and slanted down.

“You're strange.” the lady chuckled, “Are all foreigners like this? Vacation I guess”

“I don’t know,” I responded, looking down and seeing a metal briefcase on the left side of my legs, I looked up back at the lady in confusion.

The lady looked at me and then at the briefcase, “What? You're the one that brought that with you.”

I leaned forward in my seat, pressing my hands to my face, moving them in and out frequently. My thoughts racing, ‘I can finally speak, but why, the last thing I can remember is’… “Rubus,” I whispered.

“Rubus? What is that, English?”

I looked back at her, “No Latin,” looking back down to my stomach that was inflated. I pressed down on it with my hands, ‘Where is he?’ I thought.

“You’re Latino? Your Mandarin is perfect, did you learn it in school?”

“I don’t know.”

The lady sighed, taking her eyes off of me, “You are strange indeed.”

I gulped loudly, trying to hold in my tears, but my will power was weak. Droplets fell down my cheeks, I wiped them off quickly with my hands, so people wouldn’t notice. However, my sniffers were too deafening to not get head turns towards me. I felt a light touch on my shoulder that made me flinch in surprise.

“Are you alright, sweetheart?” The lady took her hand back from me.

“No!” I yelled, “I can't control my own body, I don’t know what I’m doing here, I’ve been forced to do terrible things.” I quieted down, “I don’t know who I am.” diving right into the palms of my hands covering my face, for a short while I sat there in my puddle of tears. Then I felt a warmth wrapped around me, I opened my eyes to see the lady hugging me from the side.

“I’m sorry this is happening to you, whatever this is.”

“I don’t know how to stop it,” I inhaled.

She put her hand on my head and stroked my hair back and forth, the movement calmed me down a little for me to stop crying. The train slowed down as they announced the final stop to Beijing. I rubbed my eyes and smiled at the old lady when I got off the train, taking the suitcase with me, and nodded to her to signify that I was okay.  As the train doors closed in my face, I looked around my surroundings, heavy clouds in the sky, and the gloomy colors of black and gray of the people's umbrellas.

For a while I stood there in the crowd, individuals rushing to get on the train and out. Time passed until a black limo pulled up in front of me, two large men got out, wearing a black and white suit and tie and shades that hid their eyes. They spotted me and hand suggested me to the car, I took a deep breath in and got in. No one said a word and drove off.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked the two men up front. The one that was not driving looked back at me and then to the man driving.

“We are taking you to the meeting.” The man said no other words came out the whole ride.

The car stops at a big all windowed building, hundreds of flags in front of it. One of the men opened the car door for me, as the other one stood there looking around. They led me through the head of the building, to the elevator that went up to the top of the floor. They moved me towards these two-sided doors, however, didn’t open it, they just stood there beside it with their heads straight forward. I looked at them in confusion, and then suddenly the two doors burst open, an old man holding them coming out from them.

“Elvillain Belgium, how good it is to finally meet you in person.” The old man said he was wearing a golden suit and tie, with a golden watch on his right wrist. He had a mustache that curled at the end of it and a large bald spot on top of his head and little gray strands of hair laying on it. I recognized him from the party, he was the man announcing the winners. He grabbed my hand and shook it aggressively, pulling me inside the room. “I am happy that you can meet us here today and to finally be joining the Mutatus Alumni organization.”

The room was big with windows for walls, a long table in the middle of it almost covering the entire room. There were 10 men in the room in total, all wearing shining shades of rainbow color suits, they were all old and had facial hair somewhere on their faces. They were all sitting in rows at the sides of the table with computers in front of them. Some of them smiled at me in amusement and others looked at me with irritation. The old man led me to the end of the table and sat me down.

“Now that we are all here, we can all get started.” The old man said, sitting down at the other end.

“Excuse me, ma’am,” A man whispered right next to me. He was wearing a pink suit and tie, and his hair combed back, “I just wanted to say I love your inventions, I have read up on all of your works, and woah. How you figured out how to manipulate the brain to change the thought process of thinking to change the person’s language as a simple thought, and to understand different languages spoken towards them. Absolutely incredible.”

I had no idea what he was talking about, so I just smiled and nodded to him slightly. I looked around the room while the other men were still staring at me.

“Oh, don’t worry about them, this is the first meeting we had after a while.” The man insured me.

“You mean after the multiple horrific incidents that happened,” One of the other men said in a purple suit.

“We have lost good men over the decades.” Another said in silver.

“Not to mention their kids in that fire.” One more said in Orange.

I gasped quietly, ‘Did I do all of this?’ I lifted the briefcase to the table and set it down in front of me. The old men glanced down on it and then back at me. ‘Why am I here?’ I tried to hide my face behind my hair as I brushed it around my face.
“Don’t forget the first incident, with that crazy geezer.” The man in purple huffed.

“Good ridden, Dr. Tree was a madman that would have ended this whole organization with all the stunts that he pulled.” The man in the silver sneered.

“Well, at least he is no longer with us to do anything more trouble, but honestly, the loss of our other members has damaged us either way.” The orange sighed.

“At least she can replace him in human resources, and hopefully do even better than he did. Right Elvillain Belgium?” The man in silver grinned at me.

“Anyway, let's begin.” The old man in the golden suit came in, “Our tradition for welcoming a new member to our group is that the new member will introduce to us their new invention or an idea to impact society. As I say impact, I mean to us the Mutatus Alumni to have more power.” He put his hand towards me to start.

Red words typed up saying for me to stand, I did exactly that, shaking in place on what to say. “Open the briefcase.” Other words typed out. I looked down at the briefcase, and then smiled awkwardly at the men. Slowly clicking the buckles up from the case with my hands, and lifting the top open, I saw a white metal gun in the bottom of the briefcase. A cut-out piece of paper on top of it having handwritten words on it saying ‘KILL ALL’   My hand-picked up the gun, and put my finger on the trigger. One more word typed out slowly, “SHH”.

“Is everything okay, Miss. Belgium?” The old man asked in the golden suit.

Tears started falling down my cheeks when I looked at the men in the room, my body started to shiver as I lifted the gun to shoot. “Run!” I screamed.

I hit the old man wearing the golden suit first, then the man in the silver, then in the red, and then the pink right next to me that was getting up from his seat. Then the orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and then lastly as the only man in the brown left running to the two-sided doors I shot him down, leaving blood splatter on the walls.

I finally put the gun down, standing there alone in a bloody room with corpses all around. Banging on the two-sided doors started happening on the other side, I heard a guy saying he’ll be back with a key. I sat down, shaking like crazy, my teeth hitting against each other over and over again. I looked over to the open computer, I pulled it towards me. It had all these columns of folders, I looked over and saw it was the Mutatus Alumni section, there were folders for all the members and one for Elvillain Belgium, sixteen in count. The knocking on the doors were still in the background. I clicked through all of them, skimming through it, quickly reading every word, and everything the Mutatus Alumni organizations and the members did over the many centuries. The knocking stopped as I reached the last member folder, I clicked it and a newspaper popped up, as the doorknob started to shake, I read through it looking back and forth to the door and the computer. I finished the last page of the article, and I leaned back, shocked with the things that I learned. The door bursts open with men wearing black and white suits and shades. They lifted their guns up, aiming at me. I raised my arms up slowly, my head still down.

“Don’t move!” A man commanded.

“What happened here? Was this you?!” another yelled.

“Get up, now!” a third one ordered.

They all started screaming at me all at once while I sat there panting faster as every second passed, and then, “Shoot them” red words appeared in my sight. My hand reached for the gun.

“Don’t move!” they all yelled.

I finally looked at them, holding up the gun, aiming at one of them. One of the men shot me in the right shoulder, I yelled in pain, but still holding up the gun in my left hand, my finger put pressure on the trigger. I heard multiple gun shots at once coming at me, sharp pain dove into every part of my body, and then silents crowded my mind as I gasped for breath and light as the darkness took my sight. The last thing I saw was a pink tree in the distance.
