-Good evening. -The boy at your door spoke, a smile playing on his lips.
Lisa felt her heart skip a beat when she saw him after a while. She couldn't help but smile, just as she couldn't help her body being warmed as he reached up and brought his hand up to her face, stroking her cheek and sliding the warm digit across her bottom lip. The brown eyes were almost black, they seemed to glow when looking into the woman's light eyes.
-You look beautiful. -He said and pulled the brunette's hand to his lips, placing a light and warm kiss.
-Thanks. His voice was muffled, breathless. He smiled. – Come in, please. -She said, feeling her head with a vertiginous sensation. She had a small smile making her cheeks shine, and that was picked up by Juan.
Lisa smelled the other's perfume, smiled and closed the door behind them. Whenever I saw him, I had this feeling, my heart getting hotter, my breathing quickening. So common, yet so disconcerting, it made her feel ashamed for reacting that way, but there was that overwhelming desire to feel more. It still surprised him, but he felt like it must have been like this a long time ago, long before their friendship.
-License. -Juan walked into the living room while taking off his jacket. Only a black shirt covered the brunette's body now and Lisa was seething with curiosity.
-Do you want something to drink? Dinner is almost ready. -The shorter followed slowly into the room behind the other, he watched the environment. She tried to think of everything that could be out of place, even though she'd done it several times before he'd even confirmed he would.
-I'm fine, thank you. Your apartment is very... Cozy. - The smile wandered across his face once more, which made her insides twist, she wanted him.
She felt silly, but that passed when she let out a heavy breath, and saw the boy raise his eyes slowly to her, the feeling was like a push, a hug and a fire at the same time. She even moved to her feet, buoyed by the intensity.
-Thanks. -Said after looking away slowly, feeling her whole face heat up with his full attention. -I didn't do much of the tidying up, I just brought my stuff. I rented it with almost everything ready. -She was standing in the middle of the room, a safe distance from the other, supposedly. A distance that should allow her to breathe easily. That was crazy.
-He has your face. -The brunette said, walking to the shelf near the television and picking up one of the girl's many drawings. Lisa thought not having his eyes on her every breath would be easier, but then she saw his back, and she could have sworn he smiled as he heard her sigh at her figure.
Juan let it go, and took a closer look at every detail, they were surrounded by several lego miniatures and several baskets with different mounts.
She took a deep breath, trying not to embarrass herself this time, shifted in place, shifting her position, and soaked up Juan's scent. It was everywhere. She watched as the other raised a drawing on red paper, which made her wide-eyed and quickly walk towards him. Rigid caught up with him.
-Don't you want to know the rest? Lisa laid a hand on top of his arm. It seemed to burn her, but it also made her bold. She let the touch linger until it stopped him turning the page and seeing what he'd drawn on the crimson page.
The touch made the other smile, and turn to her. They stared at each other closely, and Lisa could have sworn his eyes were the source of some magnet, making her wonder, making her stuck with him. The brunette watched closely as he smiled slowly, and she could finally breathe again, letting out a low laugh, blinking her eyes in time with her racing heart.
-Clear. -Juan left the sheet where it was and accompanied the other to another room, through the narrow space of a counter.
-This is the kitchen. It's not very big, but it's enough. -She said observing with familiar eyes, the environment.
-Wow! What a good smell. - The other's face lit up, as did hers. It was with that simple compliment to something she had prepared on her own that she felt warm inside. Affection was what flashed through her thoughts as she did all this, as she thought of him, of them together enjoying that meal.
-I'm going to turn off the oven. When we finish the tour, we can eat. - Lisa quickly put out the fire and returned to her guidance. -Back there is the laundry room and over here...
Walking down a hall, she showed where the bathroom was, the guest room, and entered her room next to the larger one.
-This is my room. -She said and turned to smile at him. -Nothing much, it's like you said...
-Cozy. -Juan completed Lisa's speech, which made her smile and shrug. -I liked it. - He walked to the bed and rested a hand on the soft surface.
-It cost. -The youngest was rocking her hands lightly against her dress, drying her sweaty palms. He watched as the other sat down and lightly tested the softness of the bed.
The brunette looked around the room with slow eyes. Lisa's perfume was in the air, he couldn't help it and he took a deep breath of the scent, smiled. There was something in the air, in her scent, that made him feel comfortable and safe and confident. That place was a home.
He turned to the woman and what surprised her slightly, her eyes widened to meet his. They were in a wordless conversation, which said a lot, which asked, asked. He asked silently that he could stay, for longer than he would say aloud. For infinite time, forever was what he wanted. That moment could last forever.
-Why don't you come here? - The soft voice of the other reached the brunette with a shiver.
She analyzed the situation and asked herself, "why not ?". I've been itching to get closer since he'd stepped foot in that apartment. Her fear of attacking him could be put to rest now, he was calling to her, he wanted her close. She walked in with a slight smile trapped by her teeth as he watched her sit down beside him.
-This doesn't look like a famous rocker's bedroom. -Juan joked about the past events between the two at the university where they studied.
-Oh. Lisa laughed, releasing all her tension with her. She looked absently at her room a few months ago and concluded that she really didn't have much music in her room. -I'm more into getting myself dirty in paint than going up on a stage.
-Yes, I can tell. -The biggest one pointed to one of the walls that had several drawings scattered.
-It took some work. -She said remembering the moment when she decided to paint one of Bob Ross' canvases. -But was good. - He concluded by biting his lip.
-I'm glad to see you after all this time. - The brunette snorted a light laugh when remembering their past. -In private, for a change.
-Me too. She turned to him and couldn't help but laugh at the memory as well.
-You know... I've been thinking about something. And... -The other's eyes turned mischievous. He couldn't help himself when he saw the shorter one laughing so relaxed. And he didn't miss the curves of her eyes and lips, or the way her neck stretched back. -Dinner can wait a while.
