“Alright, fire away the comments,” Beatrice groaned, flopping facedown on the couch. She handed Lisha a dozen or so pieces of mail and her phone for her to read off all the letters and emails fans and haters sent her.

“Let’s see…” Lisha mumbled, rifling through them all.

“Anything new?”

“Um… just the usual.”

“Rean ‘em off anyway.”

“We’ve got… ‘disorder promoter,’ ‘bitchy snake,’ and ‘lgbtq hater’ mostly.”

“How does that last one make sense?” Beatrice asked, throwing her hands up. “I’m literally bisexual.”

“They’re focused on the past I guess.”

“It’s stupid…” she mumbled.

“Oh! This one says ‘You’re so pretty and I want to be just like you when I grow up!’ Isn’t that so sweet?”

“It’s a mistake,” Beatrice grumbled. “Toss it in the trash.”

“Are you sure?”

“Mhm.”

“But it’s so nice for once!”

“Fine, we can recycle it.”

“Ok…”

Beatrice and Lisha went through all the mail, and there wasn’t another positive piece of content in there, so the rest of them went into the trash. When they were done, Beatrice just sighed and took her phone back.

“Hey babe, can you make me some tea?”

“Oh, yeah, I gotcha,” Lisha nodded, gliding to the kitchen.

Beatrice looked up from her phone and looked back at Lisha, who was too busy getting her drink ready. Quickly, Beatrice reached into the recycling bin and snatched the letter inside, then retreated to her room. She quietly opened one of her side drawers, which was filled with other letters like the one in her hand. As she set it in there, she glanced at the others inside.
