I can’t believe I am stuck with this human. Ella thought in the privacy of her mind.
Ella could not believe that she bounded with a woman who could not even use mana. To save the world, she needed a child host that had S-class and above mana level. But who would have thought that the person who met the criteria was a human girl?
“So, does the system work?” Helena asked with her mind.
“The rules are simple. All you have to do is, open the system store and pay for the skills or techniques you want to learn.” Ella replied in a nonchalant tone while filing her nails. She could not bother explaining seriously to a female child who was useless to her. The only reason she hasn’t left is that she could not leave the child’s body unless she dies.
“But there is no use in learning them because all the skills and techniques in this world require mana control, and guess what?” Ella asked in a mocking tone.
“What?” Helena replied.
“You have so much mana, but you can’t use any. hahaha. If I was born as a human female, I would have killed myself. Ella said while laughing.
Helena stared at Ella, who was laughing and frowned. “Look at the kettle calling the pot black.”
The words turned Ella’s laughter into a frown. Even though she had never heard of these words or understood their meaning but she felt insulted by them. “What does that mean?” she asked as she stared at Helena with a maddened gaze.
“Why should I tell you? Since you are the all-knowing fairy system, figure it out yourself. Helena replied.
Ella, in a rage, flew onto Helena’s head and pulled her smooth silver hair. “If you don’t tell me what it means, I’ll continue pulling.”
“Ouch! that fucking hurts! You piece of shit fairy stop pulling my hair.” Helena shook her head left and right, but Ella wouldn’t stop.
“Ok! I will tell you… just stop pulling my hair… ouch.” Helena said
“Ok. am listening. What does it mean?” Ella asked in desperation and anger.
“Come closer so I can tell you properly,” Helena said.
Ella flew in front of Helena’s face. “I am closer now, so stop wasting my time and tell me what the words meant, human.”
An evil smirk appears on Helena’s face. She moves her hand into the air, catching Ella in her palm. “Hahaha! Stupid bitch, I got you now,” she said while swinging her hand back and forth, causing Ella to feel dizzy.

Three days later
In the throne room.
“I greet the glorious sun of the empire.” Izaak greeted in respect on one knee and bowed his head towards the emperor sitting on the throne.
“Why did you seek an audience with me, Izaak?” the emperor asked in an indifferent tone.
He raised his head while still on one knee. “Your majesty, I am here to report the situation in Coplay. After investigating, I discovered that a member of the Coplay royal family survived. A child who was born out of wedlock. His mother was a princess who ran away with a commoner, so during the unification, we missed them.”
*Bang*
A loud sound roared as the emperor stomped on the floor in rage, causing the throne room to vibrate. Izaak knew the emperor wasn’t angry because of the boy, but the hope he brought. Hope is like a plague. Once it infects, it spreads like fire in a forest. The emperor made it his goal during the north’s unification to slay every royal family bloodline in each conquered kingdom. But no one would have predicted that a princess ran away from the palace with a commoner.
“Izaak! do I have to tell you what to do? Kill him!” The emperor yelled in a rage.
“Your majesty, I sent the dark squad to kill him, but before they could, he was protected by the ‘Thorka empire’ knights,” Izaak replied.
Thorka empire was the richest and strongest empire on the continent until ten years ago. Ten years ago, when Emperor Maximus von Murla set his site on conquest. Thorka Empire sent an emissary to dissuade them from attacking the northern kingdoms whom they shared an alliance with. But the Emperor beheaded the emissary.
Maybe this is their revenge for what happened ten years ago. Izaak thought in his mind.
“Thorka. They think they can interfere with my plans! I’ll burn them to the ground!” Maximus yelled in rage. His voice, which carried mana in them, caused the maids who were walking past the throne room to faint in fear.
The emperor stood up from his throne, walk past Izaak who was still on one knee and walked towards the door.
*Bang*
He pushed open the door. “Get me the council.” He commanded.
Izaak instantly knew that the emperor was relaying the command to him, so he stood up from his knees and bowed. “Yes, your majesty.”
