I woke up the next morning with a pep in my step. I was excited to see her. Max was already up. She was drinking her third blood bag. 

"If you keep going at this rate, we aren't gonna have enough for the week." I chuckled. 

"Oh shut up. You know I need these so I don't feed on the humans" She replied with. 

"Hey can you get Elissa for me please" She added. 

"Ok..??" I replied confused. I went up to Aidens room and saw the door was bolted shut. I ripped the bolts out and wallked in. Aiden charged at me. 

"You dick I know you bolted me in here" He yelled at me. Thats when I heard laughs from downstairs. 

"Trust me I didn't do this... But I know who did" I told him. I told him it was Max. At that he gave up and gave me Elissa. 

"Why do you need me?" She asked. 

"I don't know Max wants you" I replied. We got dowsntairs and Max jumped to her feet. 

"Perfect come with me Elissa." Max said to her. I just ignored them 

"I'm headed out!!!!" I called through the house. 

"Ok I'll be down in a minute." Aiden yelled down. 

"Yuppers we're coming in a minute." Max called back. I walked slowly to the school. I got there and Aiden, Elissa, and Max got there a few minutes after me. I went to do my 'body guard' duty for Max. She rolled her eyes. I looked at her head and she had her blonde hair in a beautiful braided bun. 

"Nice hair Goldielocks." I sneered at her. she growled under breath and said something along the lines of 

"Shut up". We walked into the cafeteria and every human boy looked at Max's direction. I leaned down and whispered into her ear 

"Everyones staring". She nodded and went over to a table full of jocks. I was close behind her. 

"Heyyyy beautiful" One of the jocks chanted. Max blushed and started flirting with them. Oh fuck no. I grabbed her arm and muttered 

"Excuse us" to the jocks. I draged her to the woods where I slapped her on the face. 

"What the hell dude?" She said to me. 

"No what the hell are you doing? Have you been hanging out with Aiden to much??" I screamed in her face. Then I heard a snapping of a twig. Max was to busy screaming stuff at me to hear it. I cover Max's mouth and walk slowly to the sound. I turn around the tree and see the girl agian. Max see's her to. 

"Is that the person in the woods yesterday?" She whispered. 

"Yes" I breathed back. I slowly walk towards her. 

"Fancy seeing you here" I call. She snaps hr head up in my direction. She looks frightened. 

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you." I say calmly. She just nods and turns back to her book. 

"Whatcha reading?" I ask her.

 "Oh ummm Twilight" She responds with. 

"Cool" I say awkwardly. She nods again and turns back to her book. I look down to make sure I have my ring on. I do, so I go and sit in the sun with her. Max is lurking in the shadows just watching me. 

"What?" She asks me curious to why I sat near her. 

"Oh uh I just have never seen you in school before." I say awkwardly agian. 

"Oh I don't go there. I am homeschooled" She replies with. 

"Oh nice." I nod. 

"You should probably get back to your girlfriend." She say's. 

"What I don't have a girlfriend" I say. 

"Oh so you just happen to be holding a very pretty girls hand and walking in the forest alone then?" She argued. 

"Ohhhh no no no she's just my best friend. We have known eachother since birth." I tell her letting a small chuckle slip. 

"Oh well I can feel her staring" She says defeted. 

"Oh ok bye" I say. She waves. 

"Wait I didn't catch your name." I call. 

"Scarlet." She responds with. I walk away repeating the name in my head. 'Scarlet, Scarlet, Scarlet'
