Wokemegaverse Primer--Part II

Wokemegaverse Primer--Part II

Jul 08, 2022

Part II-- Sociology & Psychology

The Omegaverse Social Hierarchy.

Look, I’m not into caste systems, but they are baked into the Omegaverse. Without that fucked-up hierarchy, though, I wouldn’t have had a reason to write my little stories of resistance.

So here’s how things shake out in my universe:

Alphan Males: The most privileged group on the planet. They are seen as optimal leaders and paragons of masculine attractiveness. They’re the ideal partner for all Omegas, and are the fantasy partner of many Betas. This is probably why they are massively overrepresented in government, in the corporate world, in the medical profession, and in most other careers that convey wealth and/or power. They make more money and commit more crimes than other groups—they get away with more crimes, too. If you think this sucks, that’s cool. All my MCs also think this sucks.

Alphan Females: It’s complicated. Alphan females are right at the intersection of Alphan privilege and systemic misogyny. In general, Alphan females are probably tied with Beta males for privilege. They frequently make it to the top of their fields and are highly respected, but they are viewed as less capable of controlling their emotions during rut (sound familiar?) than males.

Crime statistics, however, indicate that Alphan males win the gold for loss of control and physical violence, with Alpha females coming in third behind Alphan and Betan males. Alphan females will readily scrap, however, and they are comparable in strength to Beta males, on average. Alphan and Betan males tend to resent them as competition for partners, seeing them as having an unfair advantage in understanding how Omegas and Betas think. Alphan females are seen as desirable sexual partners by many categories of people. Basically, life on the other side of penis envy isn't as ideal as you might imagine, given the other biases Alphan females still face. They can pee standing up, though, (convenient!) and *everyone* can find their clitorises.

AMAB Betas: They’re valued for stability and dependability rather than strength, leadership, or charisma. They don’t miss work for ruts, for example. They aren’t as aggressive as Alphas, making them more suitable for middle management. They don’t lose their minds if someone goes into heat or rut nearby.

Choose any category that people are valued for— beauty, intelligence, charm, strength… and know that any compliment directed at a Beta male will be followed with the qualifier “for a Beta.” The most superior Betan male is still less valued than the average Alphan male. If you think this sucks, cool. All my MCs think this sucks, too.

AFAB Betas: We’ve been moved from socioeconomic Plan B to socioeconomic Plan D— Alphan males, Alphan females, and Betan males all get more respect. We have value in that we can make babies, but that’s also a reason we’re  discriminated against—the uteruses’s place is in the home, and all that jazz. With three other groups ahead of us in line, Betan women struggle to achieve power and influence, but that’s not new. You’re still ahead of Omegas in line, because you don’t have heat cycles to deal with and you can’t be claimed, if that’s any consolation. If you think any of this sucks, cool. All my MCs think this sucks, too. Fuck the system.

Omegan Males: Sexy, seductive, and super duper encouraged to pursue homemaking as a career unless they want to do some acting, modeling, singing, or being a trad wife influencer… Until estropause, they get to spend life worrying about some rapey Alphan mf running up and claim-biting them. If you think this sucks, cool. All my MCs think this sucks, too.

Omegan Females: Sexually, Alphas love them, period. Betas attracted to females love them, too… like SO much. They are Barbie brought to life. They were in every centerfold back when paper porn was a thing. Socioeconomically, they are extra super duper encouraged to pursue homemaking as a career, unless they want to do something that pleases the eye. If you think this sucks, cool. All my MCs think this sucks, too.

In summary, the Wokemegaverse is really just the “Decentverse,” because that’s all it is—a world where to be considered a hero or heroine, you have to be decent/humane. Don’t get me wrong, these stories aren’t prudish. More salads will get tossed in these books than in an Olive Garden during the Sunday lunch rush.

I do not just write Alpha-Omega pairings, and I don’t just write BL, either. Any consenting adults who want to interlace their parts can interlace their parts, and I will depict it with the thirstiest words I can conjure.

Consent is a major pillar of decency. There will be no dubcon/noncon in these books unless it is rightfully represented as a crime. I do try my best to make the obtaining of consent sexy.

Bigotry: As I’ve explained, there’s bigotry in this universe. My MC’s are opposed to it in all its forms.

Violence: Intimate partner violence is off the table, too. No matter how horny or jealous we are, we do not “lose control” and hurt each other (not counting hickies, consensual claims, and superficial nips, scratches, and bruises)… Kink is negotiated and consensual. Claims and knots are negotiated and consensual.

Communication: When we have worries, confusion, or disagreements and we want them to end, we *communicate* about them.

I know that this primer contains a lot of rules and high-horsing and virtue-signaling and other stuff that people hate, but I want to be clear up front about what to expect.

I really hope you’ll enjoy my stories… they’re frivolous, of course, but they’re aware. I think the messaging in frivolous things may matter even more than in serious literary works. We nod thoughtfully over literature, we analyze it, we discuss it, we give it thought. We often let frivolous stories straight into our minds (and loins) without much critique and they can shape our expectations for romance IRL. I’m guilty of that, anyway. So I made my romances better for me.

If you ever have a technical question or anything like that, please don’t hesitate to ask. I like to talk with readers and I like to answer questions. I like to hear your thoughts. This offer never expires, I don't care how long ago a chapter was posted, I will still respond to questions or comments about it.

Best wishes, happy reading, hope you enjoy--

So of course I have a question. First, thanks for adding that primer, it was very helpful. My question is whether Beta males can impregnate male omegas. I know they can with female omegas, but I don’t think you mentioned if they can with male omegas. And of course I MUST KNOW.

Gabriel Cooper is an attorney who is moving back to Baltimore to start his dream job and to put a dark chapter in his life behind him, once and for all. A survivor of a forced claim attack, he is now ready to work at the forefront of the Omegan Rights movement.

Dr. Alexander Anderson is a young physician who has helped hundreds of Omegas reclaim their lives after forced and unwanted claims. Years ago, he treated Gabriel Cooper as a patient. When he meets Gabriel again as a colleague, however, he feels a new connection to the brilliant and spirited attorney.

Free Love is for ages 18+ due to adult language, sexually explicit content, and occasional discussion of sexual violence and other physical violence related to the main characters' professions... Please be aware.

This series is complete with the exception of the occasional epilogue chapter or side story, so it no longer has a regular update schedule. I still appreciate and respond to comments and questions, though!!

Free Love is Book #1 in the Free series, Free Will is Book #2.
