The loud knocking on the door drew Juan out of his sleep, and he frowned. Lifting the covers over his head, he tried to block out the sound so he could fall back asleep. Unfortunately, whoever was knocking was persistent.

Unable to take it anymore, he threw off the covers and shouted, "I'm awake."

The knocking stopped, and he waited to see what the person would do.
