In the wee hours of the morning, lady Catherine was waiting for the carriage the princess Had sent. What surprised her was that when it did arrive, it was Old and wooden. Riding was pretty unpleasant, and if it weren’t for her gloves, she would have gotten several splinters. 

When she arrived at the palace, she noticed they went through a side entrance without guards. She was surprised to find other people at the party; she shouldn’t have. Why would the princess have a party and want to invite only her?  She was probably an afterthought. 

The people at the party were Lady Adaline, the daughter of the Duke of the North; She had black hair and bright red eyes; she was also quite tall. Lady Pam had eastern features with black and white tips, and Lady Cathrine wondered where she came from since she was never mentioned in the Book.  Lady Evangeline, Another person who she wasn’t familiar with, had strawberry-blonde hair and dark blue eyes.  Then there was Lady Tameria, the daughter of a lord in her father's domain; she was seen at parties but had never spoken to her. She Had Blue hair and Green eyes. The lady with red eyes from yesterday was also there; her name was Lady Aura. 

The Princess introduced them as her Ladies in waiting. Which the princess never had in the book. She was rarely ever mentioned.

“Don’t you just love the taste of cinnamon milk tea” Lady Adaline spoke.

“Yes, it has quite an enticing aroma,” Lady Cathrine responded.  This drink doesn’t exist in this region; cinnamon is hard to import since the tree only exists in the dark Forest. 

“ I prefer Jasmine tea, but alas, the flower only exists across the world,”  Pam spoke; she was quite serious in her tone. 

“Eww, would it taste just like that Green tea you like to drink so much” Lady Adaline responded, making a disgusted face.

“Hmm!! Maybe that’s why you're always so slow in morning practice,” Lady Pam retorted.

“That's not true. I only ever lose because it is early in the morning.”

Lady Aadaline and Pam went back and formed a few times before  Lady Evangeline Fake coughed. In order to shut them up, she then Spoke.

 “By the way, Your Highness, what was the desert you were so eager to present to me.” 

“Ah yes, Miss Nora. May you bring out the Dish,” Her Majesty mentioned to a maid standing behind her. Who placed a silver platter onto the table and revealed a cake of sorts. It had no frosting but a powdered substance on top of it, and several berries adorned it as well.

 “This is called Cotton Cheesecake; Please enjoy.”

Wait, did she say Cotton Cheesecake is a specialty from her Home country Japan? Lady Cathrine thought, but Cream cheese doesn’t exist in this world. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, and her majesty just called it the same, But as she took a bite, It tasted just like the one from home.  And then it dawned on Cathrine that there were many things in this world she realized existed when they really shouldn’t. Then she thought to Lady Aura that maybe she was reincarnated, and she was the one who suggested this recipe to the princess. Unaware to Catherine, someone watched her every move and was quite amused at her reaction to the cake.

“It’s so soft!” Lady Adaline spoke, bringing her back from her train of thoughts. 

“Thank you, Lady Aaline, your stuffed face is quite appreciated; it actually took me a while to get it right… So what do you think? Lady Evangeline,”  The princess spoke with a playful tone.

“Although it has a simple design, it is quite sweet and does have an interesting texture. As long as we advertise with some free samples, it should be quite a hit with our customers.”

“Yes, this Baked good was quite delicious, but It appears I am quite stuffed,” Lady Aura spoke very slowly and softly “ Maybe we could play some croquet, Your Highness.” 

“That's An excellent Idea, Aura,” The princess exclaimed. She immediately got out of her seat and minted for the ladies to follow her. 

‘Croquet! Did she also bring that game into this world as well? Being she was the one to bring it up, this solidified in her mind that Lady Aura was a reincarnated person, and she needed to speak with her as soon as possible. Still, it would be a while before she would get a chance to ask.

An hour passed as they played before the princess decided to quit playing and bid them farewell.

Catherine was exhausted and was sure the way they played croquet wasn’t the correct way.  But finally, she could approach Aura to ask. She was leaning against a tree, trying to catch her breath. But before  Cathrine could approach her, the Princess Intrruted her. Catherine screened in the inside. 

“Lady Cathrine, Before you go. Would you be so kind as to come to my drawing room” She asked with this weird tone in her voice. She sounded happy, but there was something underneath it.

“Of course, Your Highness” Catherine looked at Aura one last time before following Princess Charlotte. 

Entering the drawing room, she noticed that It looked more like a modern office than a drawing room. There was one desk up against the window. There were three bookshelves; one of them was empty. There was a table and chairs, but they were more off to the side, an afterthought. There were no vases, flowers, paintings, or even a rug. The princess then took a chair from the table and placed it in front of her desk. 

“Sit, Lady Cathrine” Catherine hadn’t to sit as the demeanor of the princess changed. She wasn’t elegant and kind but rather cold and emotionless when she said that. “You must be wondering why I could you here.” 

“Yes, your Highness, But I suppose it may have to do with my behavior with your Brother,” Catherine stated, But the princess just stared at her giving her an empty stare.

 Unaware that the princess was actually analyzing her. She had already confirmed that she was from another world. She just didn’t know How to ask her. Despite her status, she could get quite anxious over certain things. 

“NO. It has nothing to do with my brother at all. In fact, I Have a question I wish to ask.” She sighed “ What country are you from in most media? When it comes to isakeis, they are usually from Japan Or Korea. “

Catherine Foze “UHH Excuse me, Your Highness,” But the princess just stared at her, waiting for an answer. At that moment, she realized it wasn’t Aura who was from another world, but Her Royal Highness and her assumptions had been wrong. “I’m Japanese.”

“I see,” Princess Charlotte stated; she then dropped the cold demeanor she had. “Do you want to know what I am”

“Yes, Your Highness”

“Pleases no formality when it's just us. Being a noble can be so hard sometimes,” The princess told her well, waving her Hand in a dismissive manner. “ Just so you know, I am American… Well, Mexican American.

“Wait, So Did you read this Novel as well,” Catherine asked.

“ No, actually, I wasn’t aware this was a novel,” The Princess Paused “Actually, I Woke up in this world as a baby and only learned about it as I grew Up. What was the novel about.”

“Well, it's actually two books based on a saintess and the hardships she went through. The graduation ball was actually the end of book one. With the death of Lady Catherine. “

“But you didn’t die ‘I’ intervened”  Cathrine was confused why she put quotation marks on the word.

“Yes, I also awakened at that moment.”

“ So what about the rest of the series what's going to happen,” Charlotte asked.

“Well, book 2 starts off three months after the ball when a new sickness begins to run rampant, and then saints begin to appear here and there, but once they become popular, they lose their powers for some strange reason. But when Athena got the powers, she would heal whole towns but would do it in secret in fear of losing her powers like the others. Actually, there was a group going around trying to murder the previous saints. It actually took her three years to heal the continent.”

“Wait, did the book describe any of the symptoms,” she asked

“Yeah, People would get sick within five days. It would start with pain in your hands; then the pain would spread to your chest and then down to your legs.  Most people at that point can barely move due to the Pain in their bodies. Nothing can subdue the pain."

“A sickness that starts at the hands!” the princess mumbled these words.

“During these events, Athena has to deal with the prince's mother and the other princess of the continent as well as The Raven King also kidnaps Athena."

“Athena can’t catch a break when it comes to my brother.” Charlotte stated, laughing, but then she paused“Why would the demon king kidnap her? She has no way of healing the demon race.” 

“ Yeah, because of that, a war is started between both kingdoms until Athena wins him over and lets her go, but I think the demon kingdom ended up in ruin because they couldn't cure the sickness since it also affected them.” 

There was a moment of silence between both of them. 

“Do you want to know about you”

“No! I think I already figured  I am also destined to die to further the plot.”

“Ha,” Catherine laughed awkwardly “By the way do you wear a mask as well as cover your hair and hands.”

“Ah…you see, I have this weird immune issue that I developed after an accident. And I covered my hair due to an accident that discolored my hair….. I'm just not pretty to look at the moment.” 

There was another moment of silence between the two.

“Oh, before I forget, cas, would you be interested in becoming One of my ladies in waiting? 

 Note-Cream cheese was initially invited in France and is thought to have been around since 1043; it was initially called Neufchatel cheese and had a different texture to the one of today.  William Lawrence created the modern-day cream cheese after adding more cream to the Neufchatel to enrich it.
