Who hides motionless in her spot, scared. She can see the creature's eyes, they are round and shine like glossy pebbles, his armor is a mix of a shiny and matte dark color that blends when reflecting its surroundings.
Who almost yells and covers her face while holding her breath.
The creature comes to a stop and slowly turns around as it seems to ponder on something, then it just goes away at a fast pace.
Who gasps for air clutching her hands over her hearth "Ohh Noooo! Where am I? Where have Ive been broguht to?"
A sound starts creeping in, like something slowly crushing twigs as it closes in. Who pokes her head outside of her hiding place and sees a boulder rolling slowly towards her
"What the..?" Who says to herself with a weird expression on her face
The boulder is as tall as her and it seems to have reins on it like a cart being pushed her way
Suddendly, the beetle pops from behind
" Ahh! It actually saw me and went to grab that thing!" She says surprised
" Oh, no! You! You… You are one of those beetles, that put food in there for your babies!" Who pauses with her eyes wide open " You want your babies to eat me! "
Quickly climbing out of the hiding spot, Who starts runnig as fast as it can towards an area that seems darker and easier to hide.
The beetle sees that and starts running towards her.
" Aieeee!, Go away! Go away , Ow! Ow! " Who is stepping on some spiky vines on the ground now covering the whole area she just ran into, she turns around to see the beetle is chasing after her and she trips, she didn’t saw a snail the size of a turtle was in her way.
" Owww! Run little snail! " she yells as she tries to get up, theres too many spiky vines around, nowhere to run, and then she gets joisted up by the beetle as if she was as light as a feather
" Ahhh! Don’t touch me! Keep you hands off me!" -Who starts yelling as the beetle runs carrying her back, she is tugging at the beetles antennas, kicking at the air until she starts hearing a loud noise coming closer and closer.
Is like dropping a wet towel onto the floor, again and again in the darknes then she sees it.
From above the misty fog where she had ran into, a huge thick vine drops onto the floor, smashing against the spiky ground.
Another one falls coming closer, then the snail gets crushed by another one with a loud Crunch!
The beetle keeps running, the falling vines are almost catching up to them, one slaps Who's leg and one falls in the path upfront causing the beetle to trip, launching Who towards the clearing.
The beetle trips and rolls like a pointy football and further away Who slides to a stop like a baseball player stealing home base
" Owwwww, what is wrong with this place? " she says as she starts to wipe her face, but realizes she has something clutched in her hand, its a pair of dark twigs, " Huh? Oh no his antennas! " she realized she yanked the antennas out of the beetle and quickly tosses them away, she sits and turns to look at the beetle who is also lifting itself and looking back toward the vines. Up there you can see huge moving flowers that dissapear into the mist, while retracting its vines and everything they crushed under them.
"That poor snail… " says Who worried.
But now she is looking at the beetle , it doesn’t seem to even notice his missing antennas
" Oh dear do you want to save me or do you want to eat me? "she says with a sense of doubt
The beetle turns around and stands
Who slowly gets up " Ill kick you if you try to eat me!" Who says, pointing a finger at the beetle.
The beetle puts his hand inside his chestplate and brings up a couple things that look like blue jello balls,
Who looks at them as the beetle offers them to her, she thinks for a second and then makes a sudden realization, her eyes are open wide and with a serious voice she says "You, you want to put eggs in me…"
Who starts running again " You want to puts eggs in meeeeee! Aaaaaaah!"
Thunk! Thud! - Who suddendly drops to the ground as her horn hit a branch, stopping her mid run
"Buuaaaagh, sniff, I’m going to get eaten because I can’t remember to look up, oh dear, oh no. My feet hurt so much and I don’t know where I am. Why do I have these horns?" and as she explores her horns sees the beetle standing beside also looking at her horn..
" Oh, do you, do you think im one of yours?" She says starting to calm herself down " Am I a beetle?"
And as Who looks at herself, she sees that they are not the same " I don't t think I'm a beetle look, we are different because" and looks up to see the beetle offering the jelly balls again.
Who thinks for a second and puckers her lips as she gets mad "No! I’m not having your babies!"
She gets up and dusts of her clothes and hair "Go figure! Mister knight here thinks he gets babies just because the thing didnt ate me!"
She looks over her shoulder to see the beetle sigh and hide the jelly balls again "Yeah get a grip mister! Hmmpff!"
Who is walking with her arms crossed, looking around a bit scared, still confused and upset. The mist seems to be dropping like vines from the top of the gigantic trees as a colder air seeps in.
Behind her you can see the boulder chariot, slowly rolling along, but is continuously bumping and crushing a couple things on the way making sudden noises.
Thraack! You hear as it crushes a dry branch
“Ahhggh! Would you stop that? You are scaring me!” Says Who looking over her shoulder and sees the beetle pop up from behind the cart.
“You are doing it backwards, you dont see where you are going! She continues as she looks at the chariot. “What is that thing anyways is it poop?“
The beetle just stares at who and puts a hand on the chariot as if offering something.
“There is no way I’m am going to be riding that thing” She mentions while pointing at the top of the chariot that looks like a badly done basket.
She takes a deep breath and sighs while slowly walking back toward it. She lifts her eyes from the ground as in feeling a bit shamed and says “Thank you for saving my life, that snail was crushed like nothing and I would’ve been next. And l’m sorry if I’m angry but I have no clue of where I am, or who am I”
“Do you” she says pointing at the beetle “understand me?” and points at herself. The beetle seems to wonder what to say and slowly starts reaching under its chestplate, where it keeps the jelly balls.
Who gives him a furious look and the beetle slowly gets his empty hand out “Yeah you do understand me” she says with a frown “Sigh, man I’m sooo tired” and faints dropping to the ground.
The beetle looks at her for a second and looks at the spot she was pointing over the chariot. Then, the beetle grabs her and carefully puts her on top. The beetle then gets in front of the cart, now officially a chariot, lifts the handles and starts walking backwards pushing the chariot in reverse, with a damsel in distress sleeping in the twig basket on top of the rolling boulder.
