Blaine stayed home, he actually stayed home? Blaine had never worked from home before, but for two weeks he had started to work from home. Leonard was beginning to worry, his mood hadn’t changed and seemed to get worse after Trey’s recent visit. The fact that Dean had remained, was beginning to make him wary as well.

“Hey Blaine, you want some lunch?” Dean asked.

“What are you getting?”

“I was actually going to cook up some fish.”

“Sure.”

Blaine had let Dean remain, with him here he had managed to fend off the other siblings. They had bombarded him with calls after Trey left, but stopped once they learned Dean had remained. He knew they were watching him like a hawk, but he had a far more pressing matter to deal with. His feelings for Trey.

When Dean sat down to share their meal on the couch, Blaine asked Leonard to leave for privacy. It wasn’t the first time he had done so, he wanted to keep the fact that he had sexual relations with Dean a secret for now.

“What’s up?” he asked, once Leonard was gone.

“Okay, tell me what they want from me.” Dean paused, chewing his bite and swallowing.

“You really like him don’t you?” he asked.

“No, it’s past that.” Dean had a sadness in his eyes, but he nodded.

“Yeah, I figured that out when you called out to him while we were having sex. Never seen you that desperate before.” Blaine felt his pride dent a bit.

“Does that make you think less of me?” he asked.

“No!” Dean spoke out immediately. “I just hoped for something different.”

“I know, but I already told you I can’t feel that way towards you.”

“Are you sure? Because in bed, we have amazing chemistry.”

They did have amazing chemistry, but it was just that, a connection. They had forged that connection during the time his father was in charge and growing up. To Blaine it was like a program that had been permanently installed into his brain and nothing more. He admitted it was an effective program though.

“Dean,” he warned, his face telling him not to press his luck. Dean reacted and shifted away, his eyes going down.

“Magnolia wants a child. Olly doesn’t care really, just stated he’d like you to throw in some investments into his ventures as compensation. Justine is just curious, following Magnolia’s example has never been her strong suit. She has expressed that she just wants the experience of being with someone since she has yet to do so. Connor has expressed the same, youth is probably a part of it.”

It was true that Justine and Connor were the youngest, and he refused to do anything with any of them. Dean was the only one he had slept with regularly, along with his other sister who was now in the ground. That didn’t mean that they weren’t subjected to watching him do it though.

That led to fantasies and their obsession with him. It was something he was trying to break, but distance and time hadn’t affected it as much as he hoped. He rubbed his face and leaned back, trying to figure out what to do.

Trey had started this, but Blaine had let him. Blaine had brought him into his world and let him do what he wished because he was lonely and wanted him to stay. Then, somehow, he developed these feelings.

“Okay, I will hear each of them out. No promises though, and Trey must be present.”

“You think they’d jump you?” Dean chuckled.

“Magnolia in the least.”

“Alright, I’ll reach out.” Dean paused for a moment and then rubbed the back of his skull, hesitating before he spoke. “What about me then, what should I do now?”

There was a disappointment in his voice, like he knew he was going to be tossed away in favor of Trey. Still, he asked anyway. Perhaps it was hope?

“I need to speak with Trey on a few things before we can continue this discussion.” Dean nodded silently in understanding.

The sounds of gunshots got their attention immediately and Dean shot up like a rocket. They moved to Blaine’s gun stash behind his liquor cabinet and grabbed duel 5.7mm pistols. They waited, finding cover while keeping an eye on the front door.

It went quiet and then two more shots were fired before it became quiet again. Dean and Blaine hadn’t received any word of intruders, had it been a surprise attack? A knock came on the front door and then the sound of a voice.

“Mr. Taranis? My name is Trevor, I’m a brother of Treyton’s. He sent me here to get you and Dean to safety.”

“Safe word?” he yelled back.

“Minx.” Blaine stood and made his way to the door, Dean following as he opened the door. He looked over the man claiming to be his brother.

“Why, what happened?” Blaine confronted.

“Just a little bit of a dispute, nothing for your highness to worry about,” he smirked. Dean gave him a death glare and his cocky expression landed on him.

“You must be the brother, how interesting.” Dean hesitated, not liking that someone knew something about him he didn’t want them to.

“Enough, where is Trey and Leonard? Leon should have been at the front of the building in his own place.”

Trevor gave Blaine a considerate glance and then sighed. “We didn’t have time, Trey asked him to mobilize everyone you had while I came to retrieve you. So, instead of standing here, let’s go.”

He motioned for them to head down the hall, but Blaine went back into his apartment. Since Blaine didn’t follow him, Trevor waited with Dean inside the living room. Going to his room, he flipped a keypad out from the wall and put in the digits. A large case opened and he heard Trevor whistle.

“Treyton know you got this in here?” he asked.

“No idea, I never told him but that’s never stopped him from snooping,” Blaine responded, taking his favorite pair of combat knifes, several compact guns, and slipping them into holsters on his thighs, around his waist and chest.

“If I was suspicious, I’d say you were an assassin yourself,” Trevor smirked.

“Retired, actually.” Trevor lost his smile as Blaine grabbed a backpack and put his electronics in it.

“Well, Treyton didn’t say anything about that.”

“I never told him.”

“You never told me either,” Dean announced. Blaine looked over at Dean, giving him a considerate glance.

“There is a lot you don’t know about me Dean, I have 16 plus years on you.” He turned his attention back to the bag and headed for the door.

“Where are we going?” he asked.

“A safe house near the bay for now,” Trevor replied, taking lead.

Two men appeared from around the corner, wearing all black and in tactical gear. Trevor seemed to be the upfront type too, but Blaine was impatient. This wasn’t how he wanted to spend his night after all. He pulled out his knifes, chucking them and getting solid hits to their throats.

Trevor had barely managed to dodge them in time and looked at him alarmed as he approached and pulled the knives out before delivering a final shot to the head.

“I hope you weren’t trying to kill me?” Trevor stated. Blaine looked up at him and continued walking. “I don’t know your relationship with my boyfriend yet, so I can’t.” Trevor scrunched his brows, now following behind him as they reached the elevator.

“I told you I was a brother.”

“Dean’s my brother.” Trevor glanced over at the bulky brother and shrugged, guessing things weren’t always what they seemed. He was sleeping with his brother after all.

“So, what sort of dispute led to this sort of situation?” Dean asked.

“Oh, you know, just a hostile takeover.” Blaine and Dean looked at him, not happy with the answer. “You know Trey, he has a temper. Once the guy insulted you, he sort of snapped. It led to a bunch of dead people and lots of unhappy relations. So, Godfather just decided it was best to make him clean it up with a takeover.”

“While I am moved that he was defending my honor, I still don’t like working after hours.” Trevor chuckled at his words.

“He wasn’t joking when he said you’re like a man-child.” Blaine’s eyes snapped towards him and Dean averted his gaze immediately.

“He what?” Trevor shut his mouth as Blaine looked at him like he was going to kill him. The elevator dinged open and Blaine shot the intruder in front of it, the other enemies hesitating as the doors shut again. “He said what?”

“You’re like a man-child, a child inside a man’s body at times?” Blaine glared at him and turned to the doors, pushing the button to open them again.

When they opened, he waited for their gunfire to stop and then stepped out. It only took a second for his shots to drop all three to the floor and he continued to his car. The rest of the way was a deathly silence Trevor had only experience a few times before, courtesy of Trey and their Godfather.

In that moment, Trevor acknowledged that Blaine was seriously insane. Arriving and resting inside the safe house wasn’t enough to quell his rage, and both of the other men decided it was better to just remain silent.

Shortly after dawn, Trey arrived at the safe house. His concern for Blaine outweighed his state of perception as he checked him over.

“Are you alright? Did you get hurt anywhere? I know I screwed up and got you involved, please don’t be mad.”

“Why would a man-child get mad?” Trey paused and looked up at him, his eyes guilty before turning on Trevor.

“I’m not involved, I didn’t do it.” Trey’s eyes narrowed on him. Blaine’s sudden spike of irritation met its limit.

While it was true he cared for this idiot, he wasn’t pleased with letting him loose anymore. Between dealing with his family, his past, his feelings for Dean, and his feelings for Trey, being bombarded on a Saturday night during his off hours was the last straw.

“What did I say about after hours?” Blaine asked, his voice extremely calm. Dean moved away, knowing what kind of mood he was in.

Trey opened his mouth to apologize, but Blaine held up his hand and he clamped it shut. Trevor watched the exchange with interest, wondering how things were going to go down.

“What did I say?”

“No intruders on weekends.”

“And?”

“No business right before dinner and afterwards.”

“And?” Trey looked to Dean for help, who only shook his head in rejection. Blaine snapped his fingers, gaining his attention and tilting his head.

“And not to let strangers come to your place without telling you first.”

“So, what just happened?”

Trey swallowed, knowing he had defiantly set Blaine off this time. It may have seemed trivial to anyone else, maybe a bit funny as well, but Trey already knew there was a tension between them before all this. Blaine wouldn’t hurt him, right?

“There were intruders on a weekend.”

“And?”

“It was right during dinner.”

“And?”

“I sent Trevor to pick you up at your place?”

“Correct, and while I value you were standing up for my honor, I’m pissed right now.”

He only blinked before he heard the ping go off, and he dropped to the floor. Trevor and Dean looked in shock, not believing what Blaine had just done.

“You shot me!” Trey shouted, angry now.

“Correct. Next time you have a brilliant idea and choose to not include me, I’ll shoot your other side.”

Blaine had shot him in his calf, careful not to hit anything too dangerous. He needed his thighs after all, but the feeling was deeply gratifying.

“You shot me?” Trey questioned, like he couldn’t believe he had done it either.

Blaine squatted and put a hand towel on his thigh he had been holding. Trey narrowed his eyes at his partner, realizing he clearly had been planning that.

“Yes, I shot you. Consider this me not letting you run wild anymore.”

The words Trevor had said dawned on him. Blaine had been letting him get away with being Dom because he was in his favor. This incident set Blaine off, effectively removing that privilege.

“Now that your back, I gave you your punishment and I know all has been taken care of, so I’m going to bed after a nice bath. Make sure my apartment building and office is cleaned up before Monday, or I’ll visit your office next.”

Trey got the hint, nodding in disapproval as he applied pressure and watched Blaine walk towards the master bathroom, slamming the door shut.

“You want to marry that?” Trevor questioned. Dean glared at him, but he ignored it. “Just saying, you’re crazier than he is for that alone.”

Trey was in a shit mood, had been since his lover shot him. He couldn’t believe he shot him! He didn’t take the chance of angering him more, so he made sure everything was cleaned up before he went to his office on Monday.

When he received a phone call from him, his heart almost dropped in fear that they had missed something. Instead, Blaine offered him his thanks and sent him a meal as a sort of peace offering. While he didn’t mind the gesture, it was foreign to him. Meanwhile, Trevor wouldn’t shut up about it to his table of brothers/sisters and Godfather.

“I can’t believe he shot you, he’s feisty all right.”

Trey glared at Trevor’s face, wanting it to tear it off. Godfather suddenly spoke up, his voice calm but reassuring. It was strange how the old man seemed to take Blaine’s side in this matter and left him feeling a little hurt.

“You know, they say every great king has to have a great queen because those queens help rule and keep the kings in check.”

“I’m not sure Trey’s ready to be a king yet Godfather, maybe a queen though,” Trevor joked.

“You know, my late wife did something similar to me once.” The room fell silent, Godfather never talked about his late wife. The only time she came up in topic was when he went to visit her grave.

“Why?” Trey asked.

Blaine is a man made by the sins of his family trying to desperately repent and correct the immoral justifications of his predecessors by raising the newest generation of his family alone. His desire is to be free of the overwhelming burden that had been placed on his shoulders as the new Head of the Taranis Family, one of most influential families amongst the global network of the underworld. Sparing any time outside of this goal, was never a priority.

Treyton is a man of eternal loyalty and faith, born into a Godfather family of Assassins. His only creed in life is to simply serve his Godfather and rise the ranks until he takes over as the new Godfather. His one track mind left little to no room for anything else in his life.

A chance encounter between the two opens a possibility that neither thought about, the chance of having something normal in their own worlds of death, desire, and sins. Their arrangement only reminds them that once stepping foot into the darkness, you can only drag yourself back into the light broken and bloody, or fall deeper into it.
