Paolo and Jean were drinking coffee in the school cafeteria and talking about Metal Armor, which is going to take the pilot and co-pilot selection test today.

"Paulo, today is a fateful day and we are going to become one of the pilots of Metal Armor. You had high grades, right?"

"Yeah right."

"So you must be in the list of selected names for pilots today."

Paulo was sure in his mind that because he came from a foreign and poor country, he would never become a Metal Armor pilot, maybe he would become a co-pilot even with his high grades.

Then loudspeaker of the school announced that all students should come to meeting hall. So they got up and headed for meeting hall.

"Jean, can I ask you a question?"

"Yes, what are you saying, Paolo?"

"Why do you come here for military training when you are prince of Andorra?"

 Military school was a school where nobles came to gain status and honor of their land, and only Paolo was among middle class of society who was there. After a while, Jean began to speak.

"I do this to make my family and country proud."

All those nobles came here by force except Paolo who came here to avenge his people. 

"What did you come here for, Paulo?"

"Me for my family and people."

They reached assembly hall and all the regular students were standing in line. After some time Commander William came to the hall and stood behind the microphone and after military respect started to give a speech.

"Hello, brave and patriotic soldiers, after a year of trying to pilot Metal Armor, you are now here to see the fruits of your efforts."

Then he took out a paper from his coat pocket and opened it. And he started reading the top candidates for piloting.

"Top honors for piloting Novak Kaminsky, Jean Dumas, Irina Orlov..."

 Candidates for pilot were over and Paulo's name was not in it.

" Rest of students are also co-pilots."

Jean turned to Paolo with a nervous face and fisted his hand.

"Paulo, you had more marks than me in everything, so why was your name not in that list."

"Don't be angry, Jean, it was obvious that it would happen like this."

"But...but..."

Then Paolo leaves Jean and goes to school yard and sits on bench.

"Damn bastards, now you know who you sided with."

As he was blaspheming until a girl came to him, the girl had brown hair and her face was shining in light.

"One question, are you Paulo Martinez?"

"Yes I am."

Paolo wondered what that girl was doing with him.

"Well, you are my co-pilot on paper they gave me."

"Really?!!"

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Irina Orlov."

Paolo was also amazed that he was paired with a nobleman as beautiful as her.

"Well, training starts today, so let's go to training hall together, Mr. Martinez."

"Yes miss Orlov."
