A few months ago, before Yichen and Jianmin met:
Yichen was invited to a grand mansion to celebrate his friend's engagement. The luxurious residence was filled with wealthy guests, but one woman, Jianmin, stood out due to her determination and meticulous appearance.
Jianmin invested significant time and money in her flashy looks, exuding confidence wherever she went. Her long, dark hair cascaded in loose strands down her back, framing her oval-shaped face, and her eyes accentuated by thick layers of mascara. With poise and grace, she carried herself confidently, radiating self-assurance.
That evening, Jianmin positioned herself on the outskirts of the crowd, observing as guests mingled and enjoyed each other's company. However, her attention was soon captivated by a young man at the center of the room. He skillfully played the piano, pouring his heart into a heartfelt rendition. His performance mesmerized the audience, and Jianmin was no exception. She found herself inexplicably drawn to him, unable to comprehend the fluttering sensation in her chest.
As the night ended and guests started to leave, Jianmin felt an overpowering urge to approach the young man. With a hint of trepidation, she walked towards him and said, "Excuse me. I couldn't help but notice your remarkable performance tonight. You have a beautiful voice."
Yichen lifted his gaze, meeting Jianmin's eyes—a moment that made her heart skip a beat—and responded with a warm smile. "Thank you," he replied, his voice filled with gratitude.
Jianmin's cheeks flushed with excitement as she introduced herself eagerly, her words filled with admiration. "I'm Jianmin. I have to confess; I'm a huge fan of your singing."
Yichen's smile widened, reflecting genuine appreciation as he responded, "Thanks. Your words mean a lot to me."
As Jianmin locked eyes with Yichen, her heart raced with anticipation. She longed to extend their conversation and uncover more about him. "Could you tell me more about your music? What inspires you to write music?" she inquired, hoping to delve into the depths of the man behind the captivating voice.
Yichen's eyes gleamed with enthusiasm as he spoke about his passion for music. Jianmin hung onto every word that flowed from his lips, her undivided attention focused on him. She sensed an invisible thread weaving its way through their conversation, forging a connection between them.
While Yichen remained polite during his conversation with Jianmin, his thoughts drifted elsewhere. As they conversed, his phone vibrated in his pocket, interrupting their discussion. His heart skipped a beat as he saw Lina's name on his phone, unaware of Jianmin taking a glimpse at the screen.
Lina: Yichen, I need to talk to you urgently. Can you call me as soon as you're available?
A wave of unease washed over Yichen. Turning to the woman beside him, he spoke urgently, "I'm sorry, Jia..."
"It's Jianmin," she corrected, her eyebrows furrowing in mild confusion.
"Apologies, Jianmin. I have to leave unexpectedly. It was a pleasure talking to you," Yichen expressed with a warm smile.
Jianmin's heart sank. "Is everything alright? Can I help in any way?" she inquired.
"No, it's alright. I'll talk to you later," Yichen responded, his voice trailing off as he walked away.
And with that, Yichen left his friend's mansion, disappearing into the night and leaving Jianmin alone. She felt a tinge of sadness and rejection. Her thoughts wandered, contemplating who Lina was and why her message was urgent. Nonetheless, she knew she would never forget the brief moment they shared and the emotions it stirred within her.

Yichen and Lina had developed strong feelings for each other after spending a significant amount of time together. Their affection grew with each passing day. However, fate had different plans in store for them.
Jianmin, despite appearing polished on the outside, desired to have Yichen at any cost, even if it meant resorting to unethical actions. Driven by her infatuation with him, she researched Yichen and Lina further. She discovered that they were both well-known streamers and members of an Esports team. As time went on, she realized she could never match Lina's popularity.
Nevertheless, Jianmin refused to let discouragement overcome her. She vowed to do whatever it took to separate Yichen and Lina, even if it meant resorting to dark and evil methods. She scoured the internet for ways to achieve her goal and stumbled upon the idea of using black magic. After hours of searching, she finally found the magician she sought.

Driven by desperation and determination, Jianmin treaded through the dark forest. Rumors of a powerful magician residing deep within the woods had reached her, fueling her resolve.
As she pressed forward, Jianmin stumbled upon a small clearing adorned with an old, weathered cabin. The dense roof above cast shadows over the surroundings, with faint moonlight filtering through the leaves—smoke billowed from the chimney, and the distant echo of chanting beckoned from within.
Jianmin approached the cabin, her steps crunching on the dried leaves and twigs littered the ground. She knocked on the door, and a voice from inside bid her entrance.
"Enter," spoke a masculine voice.
Jianmin turned the doorknob and stepped into a dimly illuminated room adorned with strange symbols and potions. The cabin exuded an air of darkness and mustiness, with a dwindling fire casting dancing shadows upon the walls. An elderly man, wrinkled and intelligent, sat at a table in a rocking chair, surrounded by ancient books and parchments. His eyes remained closed as he murmured an incantation under his breath.
Approaching the sorcerer, Jianmin addressed him, "I have heard of your mighty power and seek your assistance."
He opened his eyes and gazed upon Jianmin, discerning the longing and desperation reflected in her eyes. He understood the lengths she would go to acquire his aid. Rising from his seat, he asked, "What do you desire?"
Jianmin drew a deep breath, closing the distance to the magician. "I desire to sever the bond between a couple, Yichen and Lina," she explained. "I want Yichen to fall deeply in love with me and become my husband. Also, enchant him so he forgets Lina and sees her as an ugly monster. I'm prepared to pay any price to make this happen."
The sorcerer, a tall and thin figure wrapped in a flowing black robe, focused his cold and piercing gaze on Jianmin. His eyes seemed to penetrate her as if delving into the depths of her soul. With a calculating expression on his face, he spoke in a calm and deliberate voice, "That is a powerful spell. I can assist you, but it will come at a great cost. And I am not just referring to money. You will diverge from the straight and innocent path. Are you willing to go to Hell with me?"
'Hell? What in the world? No! I can't turn back; I've come so far. Besides, it's all religious nonsense,' Jianmin thought, feeling her heart race, but she stood firm in her determination. With a resolute nod, she declared, "Yes, I understand, and I'm ready to do whatever it takes."
The magician drew closer, his movements deliberate and controlled. "Very well. Let us begin," he beckoned, extending his hand. "Offer me your hand, and together we shall seal the pact."
Jianmin reached out her hand, which he firmly grasped. A chill ran down her spine as he chanted an ancient, Satanic incantation. The words reverberated through the room, filling the air with an eerie energy that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She felt the spell's potency coursing through her veins, a mixture of excitement and trepidation igniting within her racing heart.
As he chanted, Jianmin experienced a strange sensation in her hand and chest—a mingling of warmth and tingling. She realized the spell had been cast, and soon Yichen would be under her influence.
Finally, he finished his arcane ritual, and silence settled in the room. He turned towards Jianmin, his expression inscrutable. "The spell is now complete, though it will take at least a week to take hold," he uttered, his voice cold and foreboding. "But remember, now you have embarked on this evil path, you cannot return to the straight path anymore."
'What is he saying?' Jianmin thought. Her mind raced with fear and uncertainty at his words, but she pushed them aside. She had come too far to retreat now. With a determined nod and her heart filled with resolve, hope, and anticipation, she thanked him and departed from his abode. She focused on capturing Yichen's heart, forever severing his ties with Lina, even if it meant delving into the forbidden realms of magic.

In the dark of night, wicked energies emerged from the abyss, making their way toward Lina's modest home. Quietly, these shadowy malevolences crept through the darkness, infiltrating her residence until they reached her room. Lina slept deeply, utterly unaware of the impending terror that awaited her.
As midnight approached, eerie sounds resonated from these otherworldly beings, filling the room with cries resembling tormented souls. With a flick of their bony wrists and razor-sharp claws, they unleashed their dark powers, casting mysterious talismans upon Lina, who remained unsuspecting.
The disturbing sounds shattered Lina's peaceful dreams, jolting her awake. Overwhelmed by dread, her breath caught in her chest. Opening her eyes, she was met with unimaginable horror. Otherworldly beings surrounded her, and the realization struck her like lightning. 'Demons! DEMONS!' raced through her mind.
Terror gripped Lina, rendering her body paralyzed with fear. Every fiber of her being trembled as the otherworldly beings closed in around her. She struggled to steady herself, clutching her arms, but the fear was overpowering. Her muscles felt like jelly, making it impossible to stand or move.
The demons' appearance was a grotesque blend of nightmarish features, their malevolence evident in every twisted contour of their forms. Their cold, soulless eyes bore into Lina, conveying a menacing intent that sent shivers down her spine. One demon unleashed its fury with a bloodcurdling scream, subjecting her to torment.
Lina desperately tried to find her voice, to scream or beg for help, but her throat tightened in fear, silencing any sound she attempted to make. Tears streamed down her face as she silently prayed for divine intervention. 'God, please help me. Make them leave,' her voice silenced by fright.
After completing their sinister rituals, the malevolent entities cast one final disdainful glance at Lina's tear-streaked face, relishing the cruelty of their presence. Whispers passed between them as the creatures slowly departed, dissolving into the night sky.
Finally free from the paralyzing grip of dread, Lina mustered the strength to sit up, her heart still pounding. A scream escaped her lips, and she instinctively covered her face, seeking refuge from the lingering terror. Trembling uncontrollably, she questioned the horrifying intrusion that had unfolded before her eyes.
"W-why were there demons in my house?" Lina stammered, her voice trembling with nervousness. Her breathing quickened, but she fought to regain control over her emotions. Wiping away her tears, she gathered her thoughts, her voice filled with determination. "Those... dirty demons," she uttered angrily. She took a deep, shuddering breath, trying to find solace amidst the chaos.
Please tell me what you think! It definitely helps. Also, I'd appreciate a like for this if you enjoyed it!
PS: Yes, Yichen is innocent, and Lina is the one he truly loves. Lina's lashing at him was also not her fault. Jianmin's meddling got darker, and it will be revealed later.
