"Greater love has no
one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if
you do what I command.
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
This is my command: Love each other."
John 15:13-17 NIV.
After all, what is the proof that He really loves me? The Cross is the greatest proof, He endured the suffering we deserved so that we wouldn't have to go through that.
"Are you saying that I deserved to die on the cross? You're not nice, huh?."
It is the truth, because of the wickedness of human beings that leads them to do shameful and terrible things, because we are inclined to sin and are dominated by sin. (before knowing Jesus, after knowing him we can overcome the flesh).

What God wants from us is repentance, acknowledgment of our flaws and sins.
"For what? To humiliate me?" No, to transform you. When we admit and ask the Lord to make us better, we give space for Him to act in our lives.
"Why do I have to ask? If God already knows what I need?"
God has given us free will - the right to make our own choices, for this reason He respects our decisions. Without his authorization, God will do nothing in your life.
The Lord is not like one of those people who keep insisting until they force you to change your mind. He accepts both "yes" and "no" for an answer.
God does not force or impede you from doing something, whatever it may be. The choice is yours!
