"Then who is my mother?" Nikki asked. Jade is hesitant to respond.
"Look, I didn't know she didn't know, you should've told her sooner," Ian says as he walks out.
"Well... I'm not sure what happened to Reese, she's gone... I guess," Jade admits.
Nikki's face falls when she learns the truth. She walked over to the corner and curled up. Jade has been a nice mother to her and Shawn, but a part of her also wanted to meet her biological mother. Did Reese just abandon her? All of these thoughts race through Nikki's mind throughout the day.
Sara notices Nikki throughout dinner. Despite the fact that Sara had served Nikki's favorite meal, she had stayed in her place for the last hours.
"Dean?" Sara directs her gaze at Dean.
"What? I didn't do anything, I was in your room the entire time," Dean complained.
"It's pointless, she doesn't understand you, looks like someone is grounded," teases Jade.
"Is Nikki going to be okay?" Shawn asked. Jade glanced at Nikki.
"I'll talk to her." Jade walks approaching Nikki.
"Nikki, come on, eat up. Rain will be worried if she finds out." Nikki didn't move or glance at Jade. "I didn't intend to lie; it's just that Reese trusted me to take you. If you want, I'll help you find her. I mean, if you want. There's probably still some cats that know where she is, how about that?" Nikki lifts her head and looks at Jade.
"Thank you, Jade," she said, smiling.
When the clock struck eight, Ian and Dean sat in front of the window.
"It's a shame you can't see the moon from here."
"Shut up, Jade," Jade says, chuckling, while Dean frowns.
"All right, everyone except Dean, it's time to go," Sara said. She approached Dean, carried him, and then opened the door.
"Yes, at last!" exclaimed Ian.
"Sara! I didn't do anything! Ian, help!" Dean struggled to free himself from Sara's grip. Sara is strong enough to handle him despite his size.
"Do you guys understand Sara?" Shawn questioned.
"Yup," said Jade.
"How?"
"By that... " Jade pointed her paws at the window. When Ian came out onto the porch, Shawn and Nikki were taken aback by what occurred next.
"Ah, it's good to be back," Ian said in human form, stretching his body.
"Wow," the two exclaimed as they stared in awe at Ian. Ian appears to be a man in his late twenties. He has clean-cut orange hair and wears an all-white clothing with an orange scarf.
"Bye!" Ian walks out of the property, but the two of them are still stunned from what happened.
"Did he just transform into a human?" Nikki wondered.
"Yep, you want to try?" Jade asked. Nikki and Shawn exchanged glances.
