It was currently 8:27.. I was only a few minutes away from work. I really don't want to be left alone again, so I said screw it and ran the rest of the way. I took a deep breath and stepped inside. The bell from the door rang once I swung it open. One step inside...that's all it took before I heard the sudden, "Henry Dear!" I groaned. This is going to be a long day...
"Henry dear! It's so pleasant to see you here early!" The taunting tone of that deep voice struck me. The type of voice that lingers in your mind, whether you want it to or not. "I was worried you would be late again!" He let out a low chuckle after his words.
I sighed and clocked in. I didn't bother answering the person speaking to me. It's likely that I'd lose my temper with him. I heard heavy footsteps approaching. I grumbled and turned to look at him. The uniform he was wearing was intended for women, but it was too tight for him. It appeared that the shirt hugged his midsection, the skirt was short on him, the thigh highs appeared ripped and his boots were the wrong color. I don't ever recall seeing him wearing men's clothing.
On top of everything else he was wearing, he wore his long straight black hair in two pigtails, the right of which was decorated with a peach-shaped hairpin. In spite of his lively expression, he looked dead. His skin was pale, and he felt as if he had spent the night in a freezer every time he touched me. The eyes of the man were pitch black and dull, without a trace of light. It is as if his expressions are free from emotion. Such an odd man...
After addressing him coldly, I moved to the side and walked past him. I felt his gaze on me. A strange aura emanated from him. I really have no clue how to describe it. I got behind the counter and made myself a caramel mochiatto. I could really use one at the moment. I felt his presence behind me yet again. I gripped the coffee cup.
"My dear Henry, you look as if you haven't slept in a week or two!" His icy hands grabbed my cheeks. He turned my head to face him. "You know, you should rest more." He sneered. My eye twitched. I cannot lose my temper now. I pushed him off of me and rubbed my cheeks. They felt cold now.
