"HEY PRINCESS, WHY DON'T YOU COME OVER FOR COFFEE TOMORROW?"
I turn and look at the number of cars in his driveway. It looked like a circus was in town and everyone had come to see it
"ONLY IF THOSE PEOPLE ARE GONE, SIR," he smiled at me.
"THEY WILL BE GONE BY MORNING 7 AM SHARP, THAT'S A PROMISE" with that I turn away and enter my home as I feel my heart skip a beat. I brush it off and go back to doing my overtime. By the time I finished, it was 6 am and time to begin cleaning and getting ready for the upcoming morning. It didn't take long for me to finish. It was 6:50 after I finished getting everything ready. I heard cars starting up. When I looked out the window I saw that my neighbor's guest was leaving. He wanted me to come for coffee. Once everyone leaves I leave my window and sigh, realizing it was 6:59. While dragging my feet I put on some decent clothes and went to my eldest son's room to see him on his phone.
“Hey Luca can you babysit for a bit? I'm going to the neighbor's house to introduce myself and drink some coffee” he looked a bit shocked. To be fair I rarely ever left the house.
“Um yea go ahead have fun I guess,” he says standing from his comfortable bean bag.
“Thanks, kiddo I will be back soon, promise” I go put on my jacket and head to the neighbor’s house. When I knock on the door he opens the door and smiles seeing that it was me.
“Glad you could make it,'' I roll my eyes as I cross my arms
“Well, I did say if they left by morning and you got all of them out at 6:59 so I had to hold up my end of the deal” his smile grows larger.
“Well I got some cleaning to do but you ca-” I cut him off before he could say more because I knew if I left now I wasn't coming back. At least not today.
