As the air escapes your burning lungs, you feel yourself being grabbed by something and pulled upward. Your head comes out of the water and you gasp for air, choking on seawater in the process. Jamie and John, help pull you and the captain onto the deck. You hack and cough up sea water and you struggle to breathe. The captain pats your back firmly and speaks in an out of breath tone “my god y/n! What happened!?” I look over at the broken net and take heavy breaths, “the.. The line.. It gave way under their weight as they swung themselves free and I tripped and fell overboard.. It all happened so fast..” john pats you reassuringly and says “hey.. Take a breath mate.. How about we get you out of these wet clothes and put you in something dry so you don't catch something." Jamie nods in agreement and takes you by the arm and brings you below deck.
Sun and moon are in moon’s room sitting in silence, until sun speaks up. “Moon..? Can I ask you something?” Sun looks to his right with his eyes still closed, “sure, um sun..? I'm over here.” moon says to sun in a slightly confused tone. Sun turns his head to face moon “oh, right.. He he! Sorry…” moon’s face gains an expression of concern and tilts his head slightly at sun and puts his hand on sun’s. “Sunny? What do you have your eyes closed for..?” Sun faces his head down a bit and speaks up in a small voice “are.. My eyes..creepy? Do I really look like I have no soul..?” moon’s eyes go wide and he put’s his hands gently on sun’s shoulders “oh.. Sunny.. Don’t listen to what that human said! Your eyes are beautiful as the shiniest pearls! And you’re the most soulful person I know! If someone doesn't have a soul it’s that horrible human!” moon gently holds sun’s face and sun smiles and opens his eyes and looks at moon. “You really mean it moony?” he asks as his face lights up with joy, “of course i mean it sun! You're the most prettiest, most amazing person I know!” moon boops sun’s nose with his own. Sun giggles and smiles brighter at moon, “awe! Moony! You’re making me blush! Oh! Also… remember that other human? The one who helped us get out?” moon stretches and yawns and looks at sun with a raised eyebrow, “what about them?” moon asked curiously. “Well, I saw them in the water while we were swimming away. They were not swimming up though.. But i saw another human going down after them so I think they are ok..” moon raises his eyebrows at this news, “oh.. Well i guess if we ever see them again we have to thank them.. They did save us from those other humans they were with..” sun flicked his tail and he did a somersault. “Yeah! We have to thank them for saving us! I could make them some seaweed balls so we can play! Or maybe I could give them some pretty shells! Ooh! I'm so excited to see them again!” exclaimed sun. You stare at the photo you took of the two creatures from earlier that day, you set it down and sigh. You turn off your reading lamp and look out the window on your right and watch as the sun hides beneath the horizon to rest for the night. You yawn and stretch and get up to head to your quarters.
As the sun sets in the west, the dusk of the night descends. A fishing boat rocks gently on the waves, as its captain and crew fall asleep.
