Thank you for the beautiful story!
As a daughter who now only has a mom (my dad passed), I also used to be in a cold relationship with her. Only after moving out and living far away our relationship gets better-- we become honest to each and our own feelings, talked our past pains and we get to let ourselves heal. There are things that need to be discussed and looked back to to know that in each and every steps there were love, yet we were just too clumsy and awkward to express it. And being a human being, there are also times when we hate, but there's not all that is.
Thank you, author, for capturing these mother-daughter relationships. And I hope readers get to express their love for their mothers or daughters and not have any regret 🩷
"Cold-hearted." That was the word Lee Eunyoung always used to describe her mother. But after her mother's passing, Eunyoung discovers a diary that shows her things she never even knew about the woman who raised her. Reading the entries allows Eunyoung to continue to feel her mother's presence and resolve their complicated relationship, but as the remaining pages dwindle and the visions that kept her company begin to fade, she's forced to face her new reality and say her final farewell.
