Frounda shone in her long red dress as she walked toward the attendees, her shyness overtaking her.
Iyas stood close by, a wall for her to lean on, stealing glances at her and the crowd.
Meanwhile, Lisan played the piano, dedicating her performance to her friend Frounda. As for Lujain, she stood in amazement at the beauty of the scene before her, tears falling down her face as if this wasn't just a birthday party but an elegant wedding for her dear friend Frounda.
With her short black hair and average height, Frounda looked happy as if she had never celebrated her birthday before, her small black eyes shining with joy, her angelic smile on her round face. Iyas felt jealous of the looks directed towards his beloved, holding her waist and saying she belongs to him, "She is mine".
Lisan excelled in her performance, just as Iyas excelled in his looks towards Frounda, and Lujain excelled in her overflowing emotions towards her friend Frounda, who received all the glory her friends made for her today.
It was her 28th birthday.
Frounda received congratulations and gifts from the guests.
They enjoyed the atmosphere and danced with joy.
It was exactly 8 PM, and Frounda usually ended her party at the same hour. But Iyas decided to extend the party for another half an hour.
Frounda was surprised and asked, "Won't we continue the celebration by ourselves as usual?"
Iyas replied, "Of course, but..." Then he took her hand and led her toward the center of the hall where everyone stared in amazement.
Lisan smiled and gestured for Lujain to join in sharing the moment.
At the same time, Iyas signaled to the DJ who changed the music, and the song "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" by The Script began to play.
It was one of the most beautiful songs that someone could dedicate to another person.
Frounda did not understand what Iyas was aiming for until he said, "I will not take a single step forward without you. I want you to be mine." Then he bowed his head a little towards Frounda's face, saying, "I think I will take all the glory tonight." Then he got down on one knee and proposed to Frounda, who stood frozen, happy, and shy at the same time.
Iyas said, "Will you accept to be mine and mine alone forever? Will you accept me leaving my mark on you? Will you accept to be my wife, Frounda?"
Frounda smiled, tears of joy falling, and said, "I almost forgot the last time you called me by my name, Iyas. Of course, yes."
Frounda put on the ring with joy, and they exchanged the longest and most beautiful kiss.
Meanwhile, Lisan and Lujain clapped and smiled warmly at them.
Iyas said, "I think our party will end here. Thank you for coming."
Everyone congratulated them on what they had done. People began to disappear one by one, leaving only their friends behind.
Lujain hugged Frounda with all her joy and congratulated her.
Then she started inspecting her ring, saying, "Oh, it suits you." Frounda replied, saying, "I think so too."
Lisan approached her while trying to put on the necklace she bought with Iyas last time, saying, "I'll be happiest if I name you first." Then she looked at her neck after putting on the necklace, saying, "It suits you more than I thought."
She smiled, then took their hands, saying, "Congratulations. I hope you'll always be happy, and I'll always be here to watch you together."
Lisan was slightly younger than them but she was like an older sister to them.
She had always been, and would always be their support.
They hugged Lisan, and then she said, "Okay, I'll leave now." Then she remembered, "Oh, Lujain, you came with me. Let me drop you off first."
Lujain refused, saying, "No, thank you. I'd rather go in a taxi than ride with you again." Everyone laughed.
Lisan shrugged, saying, "As you wish. Oh, I forgot, my father messaged me. He told me to pass on to you that you need to go to the college tomorrow." Lujain smiled and thanked her.
Lisan left, while both Iyas and Frounda prepared to leave.
Then Lujain said, "Oh, I forgot. There's an interesting thing happening with Lisan. Someone may be stalking her. I think he's interested."
Frounda and Iyas asked, "Really? Who?"
As if they were happy about it, as if they wanted Lisan to fall in love as if there was something on their minds. Then suddenly they looked sad.
Frounda said, "Lisan never talked about it. She hates the idea of love."
Iyas replied, "Oh, I remember. Last time she said she was ready to talk."
Frounda and Lujain said, "Finally."
Iyas added, "But she never talked about it."
Frounda said, "We'll work on it together."
Their conversation lasted for a while, then they went their separate ways.
Iyas and Frounda continued their celebration, and Lujain anticipated what was coming her way.
Lisan, as usual, headed to the race track she used to visit.
She arrived at the racing circuit as usual, getting ready to race with one of the trainers there.
She put on her racing gear, and the crew prepared the Formula car she was used to using.
One of the crew members approached Lisan and told her, "Miss Lisan, someone is waiting for you here. I think he's interested in racing with you." Lisan replied, "I hope he's good enough to compete with me."
Then she headed towards the car with a smile, while the other racer was already prepared and waiting for her arrival. They both nodded and greeted each other, and the race began when the flag was raised.
"I loved someone once, and then what?
I loved and then I hated love.
I mean, I hated to love, or maybe I was afraid to love, or maybe I just didn't dare to love because I wouldn't be able to trust the one I love." Lisan
