Blanco holds his breath as a spotlight flashes above his head. His feet are dirty and his hands are covered in scratches. All he had was this small cove that he had found when sprinting around the maze. The King's words repeated over and over again in his head. Was he really some sort of relic from an unknown planet? Was this all just a trick? Why did it have to be him?
His thoughts come to a stop as he hears the mutters and quick footsteps of the King's guard fly past. Blanco looks up to the pitch-black night sky. He closes his eyes. All he could wish for now was a miracle.
"Oi LoBo! You seen this here on the news mate!", Krucko, draped in a custom bright gold and green dressing gown bellows as he chomps away on his crispy cheese balls, with his feet up on the recliner chair which came with their royal hotel room.
LoBo struts in wearing a velvet purple tracksuit, matched with a purple diamond chain swinging around his neck. he looks up at the TV.
"A young male who was under the care of the King has gone missing. Here are live scenes from the King's maze, reports coming in that the boy has been missing for 7 hours, last seen with a large hat, which unfortunately hid his features, so if you see this boy, please call 09445678989..."
...
"Captain... you don't reckon-"
"Shut it LoBo fella, you saw the way the King was lookin' at Blanco, he would not let him escape in a million years! We'll see Blanco again sure, but firstly I'm going to enjoy the lovely and divine King's treat to us for being such.. err whats a fancy word I can use 'ere.. loyal servants of da realm, innit mate?" Krucko laughs as he tucks back into his cheese balls, washing them down with a bottle of champagne.
LoBo stays quiet, watching the helicopter footage of the maze. He had a bad feeling about this. A feeling that sitting around in this fancy hotel was the wrong move right now...
"Unbelievable scenes here! The boy has been found, by none other than the King himself!"
The camera from the helicopter zooms in on the King, reaching his right hand out towards what seems to be a hole in the thick bushes that completed the maze, keeping his left hand on a revolver hidden behind his back. The spotlight flicks onto Blanco. His fist clenched, his body shaking.
"I mean you no harm, child." The King says, slowly approaching Blanco. Blanco's eyes dart around his surroundings. Each second led closer to him being captured. He knew the King wanted him for one reason only - to use him. Blanco looks up at the City TV helicopter, circling the area with the spotlight blinding his eyes.
Blanco drops to his knees, putting his head down in submission. The King stops, he expected a tougher fight than this. He slides his revolver into his back pocket. He walks towards the boy and looks down at him. His eyes sparkle.
"You have made the correct decision, boy. You will serve me. When the people know who you really are, the war will be over in an instant." the King says in a stern and commanding voice as he looks back over his shoulder, smiling at the TV helicopter.
He bends down, removing a pen from his top pocket.
"Now then, time for a quick sleep don't you think?", the King discreetly raises the pen to the back of Blanco's neck, attempting to show the TV cameras of his loving nature by giving Blanco what seemed like a hug.
Blanco looks up rapidly. The pen is less than 3cm away from his neck. Blanco didn't need to be a genius to know that the pen wasn't for writing. Blanco locks his eyes on the Kings, startling him.
"I'm wide awake.", Blanco whispers with a tiny grin.
In one smooth movement, he slides between the King's legs, taking his hat off and dragging it through the mud beneath him, slicing up the earth. Spinning around to face the King, Blanco swoops his hat upwards, bringing it down with unfathomable venom and speed in a diagonal motion. The King lets out a gasp. The top half of his body topples forward, the bottom half going the opposite way.
Blanco, with one strike, had cut the King of Barania... in half.
The helicopter instantly turns the spotlight off. Silence falls over the maze. Blanco looks down at the motionless two halves of the King. He wipes the dripping blood from his hat on the King's white royal suit. He had killed the King. He had actually done it. How did it come to this? Blanco's mind begins to race. Did he assume bad of the King too quickly? What if the King actually wanted good things for him? What if... everything he said was true?
He puts his hat on as he darts off down the maze, searching for an escape. He had to get out of here now even more than before. This land had its King killed, they would want to do unspeakable things to the perpetrator, especially with it being broadcasted on live TV. Everyone saw it. Everyone saw his white hair. Everyone will want him... for one reason or another. He was now the most wanted boy in the universe.

We follow a lowly pirate of the dishonourable Krucko Crew as he finds his way in this new life.
