I felt more powerful than ever. I felt as though I could do anything. so I went down to the local guild, and registered myself as a miner. because if I wanted to become powerful I had to absorb energy resources. and also to rise to the top of the world. the day I was supposed to start as a miner. some guys came in front of where I lived and started bullying me. because I borrowed money from a long while ago. even though I used to be nobility. I didn't know better than to borrow from loan sharks. they come by every month or so to bully me and take the money I have, that is why I haven't absorbed any energy resources. when I was a noble, I would absorb energy every single day but when I was thrown out from the family my core was broken. so it would be no use even if I absorbed energy. and I was also given a curse. that after i gather a certain amount of energy in my body, I will die. I couldn't understand why I didn't die but then later i understood, gumin was acting as my core and absorbing the energy. he then told me that the more I absorb the more gumin can do. i totally forgot the loan sharks were still there.  i told them that I couldn't give them any more money, they started taking out their knives and bats, i started to get scared and wanted to run but gumin stopped me and said that I am more than powerful enough to take on these brutes. gumin said that he would heal me if I sustained any serious damage. i started running towards them they started running towards me our hands clashed, and i heard something break, i thought it was my hand but it was his sword. i was using a technique i learnt when I was still a noble. i used to be a coward. what i was doing was basically just preparing myself for the pain and that made my hand harden and assume the characteristic of steel. i felt a slight tingle on my wrist, *pow *pow *pow and Boom everyone on the floor begging for mercy from me. i what i was thinking would happen. i was imagining all this in my head but all that happened was a Lackey of the loan shark just came and punched me super hard and i got knocked out. i laid there for 5 hours. gumin had to heal my jaw and also had to wake me up. i was supposed to go to the mine. but I missed the first day of work. another problem for me now I had to go touch the feet and beg him to give me another job, i ate and slept. the next i woke up, my eyes were bloodshot and my jaw hurt a lot, i asked gumin what happened, he said that energy is running low, so i asked him to give me a piece of gromium to absorb, he said that he can't just give me a piece of energy because I could get poisoned and lose my life. i had to wait until the gromium i consumed was fully used.
