The witch cackles as she summons an immense explosion of flames. In defense, Stag stands in the front line and spreads his hexagon barrier out wide. Though not the targets, Komo shields her friends from the excess heat that engulfs the powerplant. "YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER!! AHAHAHAHAA!!" Cracks begin to form and chip away the barrier. The armored beetle looks back at his allies and shouts, "Run! I can't hold her off for much longer!" Breaking her normally rough exterior, Kronia shows genuine concern in her face. "Xavier no! We'll die with you!" "GET OUT!! NOW!!" The terrified Dolly holds tightly onto the gladiator, who fights her emotions.

As the barrier begins to shatter, Kronia runs away holding the dancer's hand. "NO!! XAVIER!!" Stag gazes his last at his family, before the witch's wrath consumes him. The sounds of his screams causes Komo to shout, "DELLE!! STOP!!" In desperation the girl launches her shield, directly hitting her friend's right shoulder. "Ah!" The raging fire comes to an end, and Stag's glowing armor collapses face-down on a set of stairs. "Xavier!" shouts Komo as she runs to his side. Smoke rises from the metal, too hot to touch. The sight of his hands still moving brings great relief, but not for long.

"Why did you hit me!?" the witch shouts in rage. Komo turns her head, still on the floor. "Because you were gonna kill him!" Cautiously Gren approaches, putting his weapon away and saying, "Calm down, Delle. We're supposed to arrest them." At this distance the teens notice their friend's body. Black veins spread up her neck, some creeping up the left side of her face. "Seriously!? You told me I was useless before! Now that I'm powerful you're telling me I'm doing it wrong!?" The witch radiates heat as she steps closer to Gren. "Do you feel useless now that I'm stronger than you!?"

The ninja boy seems genuinely nervous at his friend's angry pointing, and Ellia attempts to intervene. "Delle, you're not thinking straight. Just relax-" "Shut up! You're just as bad as him! Always babying me!" As Delle continues to rage, the veins spread further across her face. "You go out of your way to try and make me feel better, but that never worked! I'm always depressed! And you all make me hate myself!" 

Darkness spreads into her eyes, creating black holes with bright purple centers. Her teeth grow jagged. Long, ruby hair catches fire, until it becomes flame itself. The witch screams, "I DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE!!" then triggers an eruption. Komo quickly summons her dragon, but even it can't withstand the immense power. With flames seeping through the cracks, all three teens fear death.  But salvation comes in the form of rapid water rushing past their feet. "Tidal Wall!" Kurt's spiked ball and chain ascends towards the power plant's ceiling, and the wave rises the same. Just in time, cold water extinguishes the flames, rescuing the apprentices.

The tall wave dies, traveling across the entire floor and towards the sparking transformer. "Outside! Now!" yells their mentor. Gren leaps up high with his scarf, and Ellia grabs Komo just in time to fly above the galvanized pond. Each gets out one at a time, all collapsing in the soft banks of snow. The cold temperature actually felt comforting compared to the intense flames.

Thinking of her friend, Ellia shouts, "Wait! Delle's still in there!" "No she's not," Kurt quickly replies, "I saw her through the wave. She ran out just in time." Now Gren voices his concern. "What's wrong with her!? She's lost her mind!" "I know, kid. We'll talk about it in the morning. You all need some rest." Reluctantly the teens nod and stand back up in the cold.

As the mentor leads the apprentices towards his beat up car, a pair of eyes watch from the building's rooftop. Vik turns his gaze to the completely dark city. No lights can be seen through the snowy night, due to the attack from Jang's Hand. "Come on, Vik," says the exhausted Dusty, "Cops are comin'." The conflicted teen starts to turn away, but can't bring himself to take another step. Conviction drives Victor, and he charges up his electric gauntlet.
