"'It is not enough; I want more!' said the young prince 

'I am not to be sold! I shall not marry,' the princess winced 

'For my family, I shall work and slave more 

Day and night for a penny,' the slave swore

"'How dare you steal from my meal?' the lord raged 

'It is for my family,' the slave pled, 

'A penny is no longer enough; the system has aged 

Two pennies are nothing, even for a bread'

"'All those who wish to live under me 

Shall pay tax for services that are free 

Those who can no longer pay the increasing fee 

Shall suffer,' the king gave his decree

"'Shall we not want for more? 

The lands beyond us are just in sight 

Either the princess marries or it is war,' 

The regal queen proves her might

"As history shows it, 'no' is not an answer 

People of power would take with grace and manner 

The prince took what he thinks is rightfully his 

And stole the princess; her rights now cease

"But she is not done, her resolve would not waver 

From the princedom she fled to another land and then 

The kingdoms fell to a war they always savor 

And the princess shall never be seen again
