The spacecraft speeds out of the Earth's orbit and out of the milky way at breakneck speed. Its speed comes to a slow speed compared to its previous velocity. The stars and different bodies of gas twinkle and morph in their own patterns as the ship flies by. The alien looks out at the stars through the oval glass window, its two large compound eyes on a long and sharp-beaked ant-like head, analyzing all the galaxy has to offer, she never gets tired of it. Her exoskeleton cover hand rests on the control panel, one of her three long claws tapping on the screen as she sets things for the journey ahead, she has set the destination to her home planet. In alien symbols, the panel told her that it would be a three-day journey.
Her two sharp antennae and the multiple long antennae with a rounded teardrop that dog down her long thick neck flick and twitch as this news. She flicked and flipped the light blue switches on the dark purple panel. She leaned back against the large chair she sat on, the soft purple plants growing on it acting as a cushion to her large body.
She turned her head to look at the door behind her. Looking past the nest of bed plants used for their sleeping quarters both in the ceiling and floor, the multiple water chamber tubes that flow throughout the captains' quarters, the fresh plants growing on the walls with their fruits ready to be eaten in abundance, to the door. A large handle at the bottom of it for emergencies with the power and a control panel at the side of the door with three holes for her fingers.
She started to speak, tapping her mouth together to make a clacking sound, her large pincers moving as she talked. "Hey. Ka'hagool. Come here." She clacked as she turned the large chair to face the room and stood up.
She stands above the average height of females of her species. The average is 12'2 ft, she stands at 12'5 ft. Her long thick neck is soft to the touch, an almost lavender color. Her neck leads down into a large chest exoskeleton with armor that went down her arms and shoulder pads, protecting her vulnerable insides, it's a dark dusty purple color, and her antenna the same color. Her midsection goes back to that soft fleshy skin that bends and moves as she breathes. On either side of the midsection are some invading exoskeleton sections that come from the armor on the back of her midsection, overlapping each other like plates. The two largest plates have smaller little bug-like legs that move when she stretches. Her hip section goes back to that same dark dusty purple armor that covers her butt and down the front of her thick digitigrade legs thighs and the entire back of the leg, following a plate-like formation allowing for movement. A large thick tail extends from her butt and at the end, it forms a soft triangle, a slit at the top. Her large three-pronged paws hit the ground, aggressively sticking to it.
Clicking noises came from the door ahead of her. Heavy footsteps quickly approached. "Sorry sorry hold on Zahan'Vandal! I was cleaning up my station." He clicked as the door lifted up to let him in the room. It was another alien that looked like her but was smaller and thinner in size.
He stood a bit under the average height for males, the average is 11'5 ft. He stands at 11 ft. His two antennas are long and rounded, and have a mesmerizing blue glow at the end of them. As well as the second pair that emerge from the side of his head. Two bells are attached to the bottom of one of his top antennas. His pincers on his face are small and don't work at all, and short spiky protrusions run down the back of his neck. Down from his neck, the bottom is his midsection, it had that same blue glow to them, and even down the top of his long thin tail. His middle legs were longer and more operable than hers. They moved and fidgeted with him.
"So what's up." He clicked as he walked up to her, his antenna flashing a bit of blue as they twitched and flicked.
Her pincers clicked together as she looked down at him. "Well. I called you so we can go and discuss what we've gathered for todays gathering of the black and white mammals. How many in total, how much of each gender, and their health." Her antenna flicked as she went and grabbed one of the light lavender-colored fruit that grew on the plants and put the whole thing in her mouth. Demolosing it with her long sharp teeth and strong jaw. The thick juice from the fruit trickled down the side of her mouth, and her long thin tongue went around the front part of her mouth, licking it all up. "And we all know how weak the mammals on that planet are. No armor or anything on their bodies."
"Silly I know. But I have a sneaking suspicion that the ship picked up on another animal out there. It was moving around a lot more the normal, used up a bit more energy." Ka'hagool clicked.
Her tail flicked when he said this, "A different animal you say. Come. Let's check it out."
He made two sharp quick clicking noises and turned and started walking out of the captain's room, entering the rest of the ship ahead, Zahan'Vandal followed.
They walked into another room. Plants grow in the walls as the passages of water flow through them in clear tubes. Their smell floating all throughout the room. The room was filled with many different plants that have an assortment of alien fruits growing on them, as well as the container that held their perishable meats and vegetables that cannot be grown on the ship. They kept walking and they entered a room with many different tools for science purposes. Plants still lined the walls, as well as the waterways, but the plants didn't have any flowers, more like a weird moss to an extent.
They came to another door and he opened it with the door panel and they walked down to the holding cavity, steps covered in Ka'hagool and started speaking, "I do hope a lot more of the black and white mammals lived this time. They are pretty tasty."
"That is true. Who knew they couldn't handle getting tossed at 35 mph."
He turned his head to her as they came to a door, "yeah that was pretty surprising. Hopefully more survived with it now down to 30 mph. I would really love for our babies to try them when they're here you know." He stopped for a second before chattering away, "What if we take a male and a female black and white mammal and keep them so we can have multiple."
Zahan'Vandals antennae flicked and she turned away and walked over to one of the walls and pressed a panel. The wall opened up and showed some gear. Gloves, antenna and tail cap, and weird boots made for their feet. She grabbed them and started to put them on. "Well. I don't know. Seems smart but we'll have to check with the queen first as well as the Book of Consequences to make sure nothing bad will happen."
Ka'hagool made some squeaky cooing noises and started outing on his gear as well. "You're right. You're so smart Zahan'Vandal, that kind of thinking is why the Queen made you a captain." He chirped before grabbing a slate-colored rectangle, opening the door, and walking into the holding space.
He tapped the rectangle and a blue hologram screen hovered above the object and Ka'hagool walked around counting the cows. Moving around the unconscious cows with his foot, checking if male or female, and writing it down. "Hmmmm. So it seems like we have all of them alive, just unconscious. 10 males and 15 females. That's a good grab right here." He clicked with a chirp before stopping and looking down. His antennas twitched around and his glowing markings dulled before taking back a step. "I knew it... We do have an- unknown animal on ship." He clicked and motioned with his smaller side legs.
Zahan'Vandal walked over to him and looked down. She saw three bipedal animals wearing some weird fabrics on their bodies. They're smaller than the cows and each of them having different colored fur, on what can be assumed as their heads, and one with a strange pattering on its face. All three are bleeding from the head and aren't moving.
Ka'hagool quickly bent down and scooped them up and hurried out of the room and up to the science area. He ran to the central table and tapped a button on the side. It quickly descended into the floor and another table quickly came up to replace it. He laid the animals one by one on the table and observed them for a second as their red blood flowed all over the table. He flipped through the Book of Consequences, a ring with papers hanging from it with strings attached to them. Zahan'Vandal walked into the room and Ka'hagool clicked at her as he prepared some things. "Okay, so we now have these things on here. I'm going to fix them up, make sure there's no more of them down there for safety reasons."
Zahan'Vandal clacked in the affirmative and left the room. He reached the medical section of the book and read through what was in there. All the things that could go wrong if he messed up, doesn't help that the book is filled with things for the mammals on his planet and not these things in front of him. He glanced at them, a bit worried seeing how he doesn't even know if they were mammals or not. Too fleshy and no armor like the ones on his planet but he had no choice but to go and do what he could. He flicked his tail and he started to work, praying to the queens of Anokie that his and their entire species' lack of foresight won't end these creatures here today.
After a good while of him fixing up the animals, he took some plant-based goo and smeared it on their fixed-up wounds. That will keep bacteria out and the healing nice and smooth. He sighed, making a sound similar to cicadas. He picked one of the animals up, it had black and white fur, like the mammals they wanted, and walked over to an open space between two tables. He clicked a button and glass walls came up from the floor to form a large cage. He opened the top of the cage and put the animal inside. He soon did the same with the one with orange fur and the other with yellow fur. He laid them in a row and went around the room to find some soft things that animals love to play and lay on and put them in the cage. He then put some leaf litter and other things like that in the corner for things like excreting substances. He looked and felt proud of himself when Zahan'Vandal came back into the room.
"Looks like you're done. Are the animals okay?"
"I would say yes. Their heads got quite banged up. So I put them in the research area so we can keep an easy eye on them." He clicked as he tapped the cage. She looked down at the animals and flicked her tail.
"I'll go and notify the queen that we have these things with us-" she was clacking before Ka'hagool interrupted.
"No no! Don't tell her. We have no idea what she'll do. Maybe she'd want them dead! What if instead of that, we keep an eye on these animals and see if they're tame enough. And if they are... maybe we can keep them as pets?" He clicked, his colors glowing in a pulsating pattern and his tail wagging.
Zahan'Vandal flicked her top antennae and the ones down her neck were shaking. She tapped her tail on the ground. "Fine. I relent. Take care of them, we have no idea how they work. We have three days till we get back to the Anoke system and back home."
Ka'hagool chirped and clicked in the affirmative and looked down at the kids. Excited for the next three days. He chirped a bit when he looked a bit closer and saw that the animal with black and white fur was moving around, a liquid dripping from its eyes.
"Hmm? What on earth could that be doing?" He clicked, in a confused manner.

Agate twisted and turned in his sleep. A throbbing pain in his head. He soon woke up to see some confusing sights in front of him. He woke up in his house, but it really wasn't his house. The things in the living room were placed in weird areas and things that his mother would never buy littered the place. He looked down to see that he was dressed in a suit and tie. He raised an eyebrow
"..What the" He started until the doorbell rang, they didn't have a doorbell. He walked up to the door and opened it and his heart sank, his face going flush with excitement and his eyes watering in happiness.
Standing there in front of him was him, Lexion, dressed in his pink long-sleeve shirt, bumblebee patterned jacket that hung on his arms, his baggy blue jeans, and his favorite pair of shoes. His eyes sparkled with the same life and light as they did the night of his birthday, the night he went missing. He fixed his hair ever so slightly then fixed his long beaded earrings before speaking up. Agates' heart taking flight from how happy he was.
"What're you doing just standing there like a fool, we have a date don't we." They practically whispered into his ear. Agate's face was throbbing with how much blood was pumping to his face, he was feeling light-headed as they grabbed his face and pulled him down to meet him face to face. "I know I'm right. Aren't I Sweet Thang~."
Agate's mind went blank, he hasn't heard that pet name in a while. He missed it, a lot. He looked at Lexion, his face red with excitement, his heart beating widely in his head, and nodded.
"Of course."
