Before summer holidays, on the last day of school, someone from Rudra*'s school posted on school's group chat saying that Rudra is gay. But Rudra was absent on that day. He does not use WhatsApp so he didn't see that messages on group chat.Today is his first day in school after that news.
*[His name is pronounced as Rudr(रुद्र ) without the 'a' and not 'Rudra']
"Why do I feel like that everyone is staring at me", Rudra says
"It's nothing Bhai* you are overthinking, They are just talking to each other", Shrishti says.
(*Bhai means big brother)
"Umm maybe, see you after school then", Rudra.
Rudra is going to his classroom and everybody is acting a bit strange, looking at him in a strange way, gossiping about him but Rudra just ignores them and reachs to his classroom and sits on the same seat as his bestfriend(Mohan). They always sits together.
"Hello Rudra! How was your holidays?", Mohan.
"Hmm pretty well. what about you?"Rudra asks.
"Wonderful! You know i Proposed Tanya and guess what she said??", Mohan*excited*
"Oh wow! Amazing finally you did it. What she said??",Rudra *also excited about his bestfriend's love life*
"She said,'I have also liked you for very long time Mohan'. I'm so happy", Mohan *very happy*
"Yes, Congratulations bro, I am very happy for you", Rudra *happy for Mohan*
Then teacher comes into class.
"Gooooooooddddd morrrnnninnggg ma'am", Students.
"Sit down class", teacher.
*RECESS TIME*
Everything is fine till now but suddenly a group of five friends named Shivam, Sukanya, Komal, Mintu and Ani (their group is called "butterflies") comes to Rudra's desk and makes a circle around him.
" Do you have a boyfriend Rudra?Hmm? Tell us about him. Is he as smart as you? Is he beautiful like you?", Ani *teasing rudra*.
"Wh-h-hat? What are you talking about?", Rudra *confused and panicking inside*
"Oh c'mon! You don't need to hide anything from us now, we know that you are gay", Shivam.
Rudra is in shock after hearing that class knows he is gay. He immediately tell them-
"No, Thi- this is wrong I'm not gay. Who told you all this. I'm staright.", Rudra with very confident face.
He doesn't want to come out yet, He wants to finish his high school before doing anything.
"Oh! Are you sure?, you don't need to lie, we support you, we understand this, we all are friends", Sukanya.
"Oh gosh! I told you na, I'm straight. In how many languages you want to hear that? Huh? By the way where did you hear this from?", Rudra *acting a little annoyed but scared inside*
"Someone on school group messaged saying that you're gay", Shivam *embarrassed*.
"Ohh yes and you believed that right", Rudra *sarcastically*
"Right", Monti.
"Right", Komal.
Then realized.
"Ahhh(embarrassed) Sorry we shouldn't have believed that, we should have asked you first", Butterflies.
"Yes we're sorry", Butterflies.
"But you watch BL series right?", Ani.
"Watching BL series doesn't mean that someone is gay. Got it?"Mohan.
"Fine, Fine we'll believe you and sorry again for assuming your sexuality", Sukanya.
"Hmm good, Now you're done na? Leave now Byee", Mohan.
"Okay okay, Byee", Butterflies.
*Sigh*sigh
"Narrowly escaped today", Rudra and Mohan. *relieved that they believed them*
"I don't know who the heck did that. Just once I get him na then....", Mohan
"Is there any Rudra in this class", Random student.
"Yes me, what happened?", Rudra.
"oh You! The Principal wants you to meet him in his office urgently.", Random student.
"Me? But why? Do u know something about it?", Rudra.
"Eh how would I know, go and find out by yourself . Hope God save you from him. I'm off.",Random student *saluting with smirk*
"What did you do", Mohan *worrying*
"I don't know, let's see", Rudra.
"I'll come with you", Mohan
"Sure, Let's go", Rudra.
"May I come in sir?", Rudra and Mohan.
"Yes Rudra, Come in and you wait outside", The Principal *pointing to Mohan*
Mohan closes the door and waits outside.
"Sit down Rudra", the principal.
Rudra sits on the chair infront of the principal.
"So Rudra By seeing some of your activities, we had to made this hard decision", The Principal. *He gets up from his chair and walk around the table to Rudra*
"But I passed all the exams, didn't even fight, didn't talk back to teacher, I always come school on time, what could it be"Rudra starts Panicking in his mind.
"Principal sir, what are u talking about, I haven't done anything I think you must have misunderstood sir...", Rudra speaking continuously without listening to the principal.
"Rudra!!!" The Principal shouts because he wasn't listening to him.
"Yes sir?", Rudra.
"Listen to me first Mr. Rudra", The principal.
"Yes sir, Sorry sir",Rudra *panicking*
*Principal nodding his head*
"You have been rusticated from School, Rudra.", Principal in his cold voice.
After listening to this Rudra is in shock Because for him education was the only way to get his family out of that poverty.
"What? Sir wh..yy...??", Rudra asked in shock.
"Many parents have complained that their children are being affected because of you", The principal.
"Sir if you're talking about me being gay, you know that already, I already told you on the day of admission and you were fine with this, then suddenly what happened sir?", Rudra asks in a crying voice.
"Yes I know i agreed with you but you promised me that this will remain a secret till you complete your studies from here", The principal.
"Yes sir, I know that very well and I kept my promise I didn't even had any kind of relationship with anyone juat to keep this a secret",Rudra says again in his crying voice.
"Are you sure you did nothing, especially in school?", The principal asks suspiciously.
"Yes sir", Rudra saying very confidently but he is scared as hell from inside.
"Then what is this, Rudra?",principal shows a picture in his phone to Rudra in which it is clearly visible that he is kissing someone but it was not visible that whom he is kissing but the place in that picture is school's toilet.
Rudra is too stunned after seeing that pic of him. He knows that this picture has taken by deceit. This is when a senior was troubling him last year.
"Sir.. sir this is not what you are thinking, someone's trying to trap me sir, I never kissed someone",He is very scared and don't know what to do and literally starts crying.
"You might be right but what about this photo, your face is clearly visible, I trust you Rudra but this school authority will not, For them, school's image is priority not you", The principal.
"I know sir, but please do something sir, you know that I really like studying and if you rusticated me from school then where will I take admission you know that my family's financial conditions are not good.", While crying he asks for help by joining his hands.
"Trust me Rudra I really want to help you but I am helpless. I have talked to them earlier but, they just don't want to listen to me, But, as your principal, it is my responsibility to not let anything wrong happen to you and your career, So I will try to convince them once more, you don't worry rudra I will definitely do something for you.", The principal.
"Thank you so much sir, really really thank you", Finally after listening to the principal he stops crying.
"But till then you can't come to school, I hope you understand", principal
"Yes sir", nods his head. "I understand, But what will I tell my parents, that, why am i not going to school", Rudra asks while wiping his tears.
"Don't worry about that Rudra I have already talked to you parents"The principal
"Oh thank you sir"Rudra in low voice.
"Now Go to home and rest I will contact you after their decision", Principal.
"Okay sir, thank you for everything",Rudra smiles a little by looking at principal and heads to the door but suddenly turns back and says,"Sir please tell my sister that she has to come alone today otherwise she'll wait for me".
Principal nods his head. Rudra comes out of the office sadly, looking down, walking to his classroom. Mohan was listening to them from outside so he knows everything, he holds his hand and tells him "It's okay Rudra, everything will be fine",Mohan.
"Did you listen to everything?"Rudra looks at him with side eyes while his head down. "Nothing is fine, they rusticated me from school, what I'm gonna do now!?", Rudra asks him while shaking him with his sobbed eyes.
"I'll talk to my father he is the trusty of the school I'm sure they will get you back don't worry I'm with you"Mohan huggs him.
"Thank you so much, I love you"Rudra feels lighter now and little relaxed.
"Rudra, no need to say thanks after all I'm your friend and I love you too my friend", Mohan with a big smile on his face while hugging him.
