Ever since the recording, Orpheus has been easier to manage. They apologized for 'whatever they said' and said they'd give me space until I'm ready.
It's enjoyable, not having to see them every damn day.
Omaria hasn't picked up on that, yet. She's still full of herself and wants to marry me as soon as possible. I've been able to turn her down every time, but it's becoming harder and harder. One day I may say yes to make her shut up.
There is a silver lining to this all, though. I've been feeling better lately since Orpheus apologized a few days ago. I don't want to strangle anybody as much as I used to.
I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because Orpheus treats me as somebody who has a choice - rather than somebody who was forced to be here.
They're wrong, of course. I am here because of them.
But other than that, the most exciting thing that has happened is I've been summoned to a Council meeting. There, I will be given instructions on what to expect as Human Ambassador. I will also be introduced to the rest of the family.
I don't want to go. I'd much rather never meet any cousins or grandparents that I will one day be related to. I don't want to.
Perhaps if I pretend to be ill I can get out of it.
(Eunan writes with a new pen. It's sharper. Older. His writing is shaky and unsure - there are many lines that lead to nothing. Much like how he expects this ordeal to go - nowhere.)

Eunan Lenoir-Nyx died in 2054 due to health complications from an injury caused by the war.
