Kuro and Taiga came back to the house the next day to see Szilveszter off. Szilveszter looked at the couple. He looked far, far worse than yesterday. "Come to see an old man die? I still start to wonder if I could box Muhammad Ali in the afterlife..."

Kuro's voice started breaking. "This is gonna be hard... This reminds me of seeing my parents get shot..."

"Well, I knew it was gonna happen. After I retired from boxing, I took full disregard of my diet. Regardless of health, we're all gonna die someday. Little-known fact: Two days ago, I bought wagyu steak and savoured it. Sadly, at Guang's (a fictional Chinese-Japanese-American buffet), I could only get one wagyu steak. Yep, one per customer. The sirloin was fair game, at least."

Taiga started crying. "I'm not ready for you to go!"

"Don't be sad... Don't cry for me. I'm going ho...ho..." He shut his eyes.

Taiga yelled at the ceiling, "DAAAADDDY!!!"
Im
Kuro put her hand over her shoulder. "I feel your pain... But at least he's not suffering anymore..."

She sniffled, "You're right... But how am I gonna go on...?"

The next day, Kuro and Taiga were wearing black. Taiga had her head down. They were both walking slowly. The Pfäffer sisters saw them. Linda laughed, "Look who it is! Taiga and Kuro are going goth!"

Taiga walked up to her and swiftly low-swept her! BAM! Linda fell on her buttocks. "It's not like the ghoths are gonna accept you fucks!" she retorted. She then whined, "I need an ice pack..." Lillian picked her up.

It was fifth period. Taiga was in the bathroom, sniffling. "Get it together... Like Kuro said, 'At least his suffering is over...'" She put her hands over her head and cried harder.

Kuro saved a seat for her at lunch. It was spaghetti and meatballs, and bakes fish and rice. Kuro chose the latter, but he ate slowly. He made himself eat. He sighed. "I felt this when my parents died, but it carried on for months on end..." he said to himself.

Kyushi and Kamarudeen approached the table.

Kyushi started out, "Hi, Kuro. Sorry about the news.., Anything we can do?"

"I'm fine. After all, he's no longer suffering. I'm just worried about Taiga. As we all know, death can fuck up a person. I can't do anything related to Spider-Man without thinking about the day my parents got gunned down... Plus, I was always angry by any student who gave me shit back in grade school."

"We know," the two said at the same time. "You fought boys and girls who bullied you."

"The news hit her like a ton of bricks. And he warmed up to me waaaay faster than her exes. He even said her exes were sorry pieces of shit."

Kamarudeen said, "I can't even imagine losing someone close to me... Also, least you guys mourn people close to you faster than celebrities. Most people would mourn celebs they never knew on a personal level faster!"

Taiga came out, mascara dripping. She sighed. "The worst part is his greedy family members will be harping me to read the will..."

"Whaaa?" Kuro looked surprised. "I witnessed that happening at the meeting about my parents ' funeral. I was very angry, even though it was only a few. Also, you need help on the funeral, we gotcha." Kamarudeen and Kyushi stood by.

"He wants a military funeral. He was in the military, but he was other-than-honourably discharged, due to his back pain. Also, my greedy family members are on my mom's side."

Nozipho and Ayumi came to the table. "Hey, guys. Sorry about your loss..." the purple-haired amiga opened up. "Is there anything we can do?" (She looks like she's 21.)

"I just need support. That way, I can get through this phase in my life. The funeral's supposed to be Saturday..."

Kuro and Taiga's friends said, "We'll try to make it there." Ayumi added, "I gotta see if my crabby boss will let me take off. It's highly unlikely."

"I understand if you can't make it..."

The bell to end first lunch rang. They all got up and went to their respective classes.

Welp. Sadly, that's it for Szilveszter, Taiga's dad. His days on Earth are numbered... Can Taiga hold it together?
