With a lollipop between her lips Miss Undin stepped towards the two gentlemen. After Alistar was helped to his feet he was given a slap across the cheek with a look of disapproval.
“Fighting a blood starved vampire without your Sentry, do you have a death wish, what if I didn’t get your text, what was your plan after being caught?!” she scolded like a parent lecturing their child.
“I knew you’d get here.” Alistar weakly said.
“You really are their son.” she said with a soft smile, “I cannot condone the recklessness, but your parents would be proud, you did a good job Slayer keeping the survivors safe, now sit back and watch a pro work.”
Alistar spectated as Martha stepped towards the vampire and took out a pair of black gloves. The vampire was clearly pissed, and charged directly at her, however, she deployed a flash grenade that halted his advance. She reached into her pants, running along her hips, and took out a pair of long blue needle-like spikes that were attached to her glove.
Her agility was put on display by closing the distance between them and avoiding every attack the vampire made. Like a bee, she effortlessly stabbed him in his joints and chest. Her Sentry absorbed every drop of blood that smeared the needles like a ravenous pet. She glanced over at Alistar to check on him and then gave her attention back to her target. His damaged joints forced him to kneel on the ground as he could barely move his limbs as steam came from them as they tried to heal.
“Sit boy.” she said and gave him an axe kick to the head that brought him down fully.
The vampire was too exhausted to try and start a new attack and the arrival of troopers further ended his chances. Martha went to one of the donation vans and took out a bag of blood. While the troopers placed him into restraints, she poured its contents into his mouth. He was shot with several tranquilizers and taken away while other personnel ran over to the hospital.
Martha held Alistar at her side and helped him shamble towards the car she came in. Alister was rather amazed, even though they had fought together before, she clearly demonstrated the sheer difference of and in the mastery between Slayers and Purgers with her effortless and breathtaking movements. The battle was concluded so quickly, it was like a master bringing their pet to heel. It made him wonder how truly skilled his parents must have been since Martha and everyone else constantly exclaimed their accomplishments. Could he be as strong one day?
Looking around at the corpses that litter the pavement and painted it with their blood, if he was stronger, maybe no one would have gotten hurt. Overlooking the fact that he was disoriented by donating his blood. It was then that the realization dawned on him, they only had one vampire in custody.
“You wouldn’t happen to have seen the second vampire on your way here?” Alistar asked Martha.
“We didn’t pass anyone.” Martha replied.
Before more conversation could be made Alistar passed out from his wounds and exhaustion. Martha sent out an order for all the troopers accompanying her to be vigilant and sent a message to headquarters to be on guard. Unbeknownst to them, their departure was being observed from above.
“That boy has potential, he would make a fine guardian if turned.”
“You are right.”
“He’d be far more powerful than the rabble trying to join us.”
“My newly awakened brother is our priority currently, if you really desire, you’re free to inform the third sibling.”
“My gratitude to you my heiress, how would you like me to deal with our new guest?”
“Let’s deal with his hunger first.” replied the heiress.
She ripped open the man’s mouth, causing him to thrash about while being restrained by the guardian, and created she created a small on her arm. The blood from which she allowed to drip into the man’s mouth. In a matter of seconds, the beast became still. The heiress healed her wound and flicked the man’s nose, causing him to awaken to the two strangers. Before he could scream his mouth was covered by her accompanied by a playful grin. She looked directly into his eyes, and her own flashed a brilliant gold.
“Obey the blood I and my ancestor giveth and answer.” she commanded, her guardian releasing the man, “Did someone direct you to attack this hospital?”
“No, your highness.” the man replied as if in a hypnotic state, his eyes glazed over.
“Continue.” she ordered.
“We couldn’t control the hunger anymore, we didn’t want to harm anyone, but the pain was so unbearable.” the man replied as tears started to form in his eyes, “But we, but we lost control and killed so many people, I couldn’t control myself anymore.”
“Absolute control is a frightening power you descendants hold; I beg you to release the poor fool.” the guardian said.
“You make it sound so scary.” she replied and released her control, her eyes returning to normal, “If this was just a coincidence and since you’ve seen our faces, I will graciously release you from your misery.”
“What just happened?” the man asked dazed.
“Bow before your next queen and cower.” she said and took a few steps away from him.
The heiress’ blood left her palm and converged into the shape of a transparent, mist like, crimson butterfly. It was sent flying with a flick of her finger and upon feeling its passing embrace, the man’s torso was burnt away. A hole in the shape of the butterfly was carved into his body and eroded away his heart. His body was collected by the guardian as the heiress childishly chuckled.
“You’re improving on controlling the size my heiress.” the guardian said while placing the body over his shoulder.
“Thank you, I’ve worked hard to get it that small.” she replied.
