“Great!” Cassius cried in relief, wiping the sweat off his brow.
“What about Moonlight- my horse?” Dante watched as the coachman and the stable boy unhooked Moonlight from the carriage.
“The stableboy will make sure moonlight has everything. Don’t worry and just rest your foot. I have business to attend to,” Cassius said. “Take him to the West Wing,” he told the butler.
“Yes Sir,” the butler said, bowing his head. The butler supported Dante as they both walked into the palace.
It was larger inside and incredibly grandiose with chandeliers made of candles on the ceiling that poured light into the room. Dante guessed that even the palace couldn’t conserve enough electricity for lightbulbs and palace security. There were a lot more servants in the palace than at his own home. The servants all wore tokens around their neck with their names on it so the young nobles can call them whenever they like when they are far away. Also, unlike his home, all the servant’s names were strictly different. No two names were the same and none had either Cassius or Albion on them. Their dresses were colorful and vibrant but somewhat plainer than the actual noble guests. One would mistake the servants as nobles themselves if that person had never been to the Royal Palace of Albion before nor had a butler to accompany them. And that was exactly what Dante had thought after five minutes of trying to distinguish between the nobles and the servants.
