Dante looked around and nodded. “Alright, you may take your leave.”

The butler bowed once before closing the door.

Dante sighed as he laid down almost falling asleep but then sitting up abruptly remembering that darned letter. He crouched on his side making sure not to rub against his sore foot. With a pen in hand and paper in front of him he began to write the shortest letter he had ever written.

Dear Mother,

While I was hunting, I came across some people in need of my assistance. I ended up riding in their carriage with them to the palace but by the time I got there it was already quite late. I decided to stay the night after the person requested it. Do not worry. If I start to transform into wolf I’ll just lock the door. I will be home by tomorrow if nothing goes wrong.
