Who is running away from the two plant beings that are following her again, shes hugging Ello as she tries to loose them through the maze this bamboo forest is.
“Hey its you!” She screams after seeing a mount of the red fuzzy creatures that protected her when she arrived to this world “Help! Help! Who yells at them and jumps onto the creatures and they pile up hiding her beneath a fluffy green mound.
A moment later you can see one of the tall bushy vines is standing beside the pile. It bends on top of the pile and gives it a swift kick, hitting who in the stomach and getting her out, sending some of the fluffy creatures in the air.
“Owww!” Yells Who “Why do you think you can kick me! You are in so much trouble mister! My boyfriend is looking for me and hes going to kick your butt!” She says and stands defiantly “He just defeated a creature that rised as tall as the Moon! He carried a castle across the Air! Faced a flying army by himself! He…”
Plonk! - The other bushy vine arrived and just threw Burt onto the ground, hiding inside his shell like a turtle.
“Burty!!” Yells Who and drags Burt to the pile with the fluffy creatures, and kneels on top of him as in giving CPR "Burty wake up!"
Burt opens his eyes
“Burty you are …” She says and stops as she sees Burt is holding one of the jelly blobs in his hand
“Get it together Balthazar” Who says grinding her teeth. She gets up and without looking at anyone goes and sits with the fluffy creatures.
The two bushy vines uncover their faces, Who sees they are human like warriors, tall and fierce, with a strong chiseled face.
“He’s just a friend” She says pointing at Burt.
The warriors stand on both sides and look into the path they came, inviting them to follow.
“I haven’t heard any apologies so no thank you!” Who says and turns her face away from them
Swish! Swiish! You can hear the sound of blades being unsheated. Burt and Who glance at the warriors and now they have swords that are as big as them.
Burt slowly gets up and lifts Who still sitting with a couple fluffy creatures beneath her, and shyly starts walking carrying her through the path.
“Watch your hands!” Says Who slapping Burt on one hand, but because Burt is a walking armor she only hurts her own hand but doesn’t show it.
The guards escort our friends as they follow the path, dropping some fluffy creatures along the way.
In the middle of the bamboo forest, the group arrive to a clearing, the space seems big but is still under the shadow of the tall bamboos that surround it. In the middle, long bamboo spikes are weaved together to form a nest like structure, like a small coliseum, just above the guards height.
“Burt? How big are birds around here?” Asks Who as she notices that the warriors clothes disguise them from the surroundings.
Hidden between the spikes, there is an entrance that opens to a small stair going down. It twists and quickly opens to arrive at a main hall. Who looks at the top of the cave dome and its open to the sky, it’s just under the bamboo nest above, and its covered by long petals attached to the sides of the roof.
“Thats a huge hammock” says Who, leading as the guards break formation, one staying at the door and the other behind them. Burt follows Who and carries Ello in his arms.
Who sees the walls are covered in an array of colors and drawings, that now are hidden behind dust and many spears. Beside a giant round rock, there is another small tunnel that leads to the next room. This one is also a domed cave, but it just has a small opening at the top were a trickle of water trickles continuously onto a small fountain in the middle of the room, that sound is the only thing Who has heard in a while.
“Huh?” Says Who “That bird fountain reminds me of something” she says to Burt, but he is standing back holding Ello in his arms as if the statue reminded him of something.
“Burt do you know this bird? Does it make you worry?” Asks Who a bit concerned “Oh dear I can imagine why you are afraid of birds. It’s ok, if anything happens I’ll jump onto you and you can get us running out of here ok?”
The guard now stands blocking the next door.
“Uhhh, open sesame?” Who says, the guard stands aside and Who starts walking through.
“Eloo” Says the Bee as it jumps from Burt’s hands and starts running to catch up to Who. The guard sees it and its going to stop it with a kick, but ends up hitting Burt as he ran to grab Ello.
“Hey! Whats with all the kicking!?” Says Who “Oh, I was the first one that kicked you when I was ranting back there” She tells the guard “Ok, lets calm down, Burt keep Ello safe and I’ll be back”
Who walks slowly as she enters what it seems like the throne hall.
A big stone in front has two seats made of beautiful weaved petals.
The King and Queen both wear the same clothing the warriors outside where using. Except that the top part is not covered showing what made the warriors plant shape misleading
They wear a single piece helmet-shoulderpad that looks solid, and heavy. You can see their faces and their long and thick brown hair.
The king is calm and looking towards nothing, lost in his thoughts.
The queen eyes are lightly set on Who, as if something caught her attention while she is thinking.
“I am a traveler from afar” Says Who, but nothing happens.
“Oh sorry!” She says as she does a deep bow. She looks up and still nothing “Mmmmmh…”
Who then tries to gesticulate what she speaks
“I...” She points to herself “Come from afar” She says showing her hand traveling from away towards the floor in front of them.
Nothing, the king could just bee sleeping of the total lack of interest he showed.
“I havent seen that dude blink” She thought, and notices the Queen is glancing at Who’s feet.
“Are you looking at my slipp… WhaAaiiEe!!” Who yells scared as she looked down noticing something moving beside her but realizes it’s just Ello
“I’m sorry” she says to the Queen and King as she approaches them leaving Ello behind. “It’smy Bee friend El..” The King eyes are focused on her horn and he seems umcomfortable “Sorry Mr King l…” She tried to say but he King quickly got up and started dashing menacing towards her
“Wait Mr King! What is…” She stops as she notices is not her the King is going at, he just saw Burt running in trying to get Ello. But seems he is confused thinking it’s attacking.
The Queen rushed and grabbed Ello, Who tries to intervene but the strong Queen just grabs her arm and starts rushing them out of the hall towards the back
The King unsheathed his sword as he faced Burt.
“No! Burty! Run!” Yells Who, but Burt only runs towards her and hugs her, stopping the Queen on the spot. The Queen worries they cant move and hits Burt with a roundhouse kick that does nothing.
The King arrives thrusting at Burt, but Who is hugging him tight
“Wait! Wait!” She yells at the King “He is my friend, he is your friend”
The King steps back and looks at their horns. He shakes his head as if he had been sleeping, or dreaming. He looks at the Queen and sees her hugging Ello and holding Who’s arm.
The King drops his sword, he just saw the Queen’s leg injured from the kick she gave to Burt.
The guards enter the room and push Burt and Who aside
“I’m sorry! We didn’t meant to” Says Who. The Queen looks at her as one of the guards takes Ello and gives it to Who. The guards rush them out of the room.
Who sees the King kneeling tending to the Queen’s injury. The Queen’s eyes set on Who.
