I just recently walk out from my usual hunting spot. Now it is a new territory I never venture into before. So far, I haven’t met any dangerous beasts except the ones I encounter constantly before this. I also haven’t met any humans or whatever intelligent species this world has.

My master instructs me to go to the north, where it is said to have a town located over there. I don’t know how far it is but it is already late evening. The night will fall and that is probably where the dangerous beasts roam. But I have my own safety measure. You will see it soon. 

WOOOSHH!!!

I feel a sharp wind just pass over my head. I am stunned for a moment but when I look at my back, all I see are some trees cut sharply into two.

W–Wait! I don’t expect it to be this soon?! I do prepare my safety measure but I don’t expect to face danger this soon!

I quickly look at my front, where the sharp gust of wind comes. It is quite far but I can see a big silhouette of a raging beast over there. It looks like it is battling something, 

Uh, wait—

Are that humans? They are coming closer to me right now so I can see there is a battle ensuing in front of my eyes.

I see three humans, one man and two women. It seems like they are fighting with a beast that looks like a feathered mega lizard. Are those people adventurers? They have to be adventurers! There is probably a guild somewhere.

The mouth of the beast unleashes a sharp gust of wind, just like the one that almost cut my head earlier. That monster seems dangerous. I never see any like this before!

Oh no! They are coming closer!

“Careful!” A girl shouts at me, warning the incoming sharp wind towards me. I barely evade it.

“Are you okay?!” The man who is with them comes running at me.

I see. This is what this world looks like. It is not far-fetched from the usual isekai. But I have come prepared. I already make safety measures in case I face a dangerous situation like this. I am ready. 

“Little boy, there. This monster is dangerous! You better escape–” says another woman from that group.

Heh, there is no need for all of you to worry about me. 

The beast has come nearer, facing it is inescapable. Those adventurers are also ready to engage again.

I’m going in. SAY NO MORE!

POP!

“Huh?!” That man looks confused when he is looking at me. The same as two other women. 

The younger girl looks the most confused of them all, “W–Why… WHY ARE YOU TURNING INTO A STONE!”

And that’s how I safeguard myself during dangerous times.
