"Yes, half-bloods have a higher chance of not inheriting any bloodline at all. It also depends on the strength of your parents," Luna confirmed, her words sinking in.
I was taken aback by this news since I had always assumed I would inherit either my human or elven bloodline from my parents. But now, it didn't seem to matter anymore.
"Dad, can we start training now?"
"Hmm... I don't think it's a good idea at the moment. Your body is exhausted. Give it a few days, and then I'll show you what this old man is capable of!"
So now, all I could do was wait a couple of days before we could begin.

"Alright, son. Today, we'll focus on expanding your manipulation zone."
I nodded, eager to learn, as my father began explaining what I needed to do.
"First, close your eyes and become aware of the air particles around you. Extend your senses to the maximum until the mental strain becomes too much. Then, repeat the process until you can extend it further."
"That sounds tedious," I responded disappointedly. "I was hoping it would be more exciting." My face displayed a lack of interest.
My father laughed, his amusement fading before he resumed speaking.
"I said the same thing to my father. But this is what I did."
He stood still for a moment, and then a powerful rush of air surged out from his body, reaching the village and extending so far that it seemed unbelievable, it reached the end of his manipulation zone too. Yet, nothing around us moved. The grass remained undisturbed, and the leaves on the trees didn't even flutter. I didn't even feel the wind itself; I only noticed the surge of air particles heading towards me.
"This teaches you precision and expands your manipulation zone," my dad said proudly. "Now, it's your turn," he added, looking at me.
"How?"
"Simply gather a substantial amount of wind energy within your body and release it while maintaining complete control so it doesn't touch anything."
He made it sound easy, but I doubted whether I could accomplish it even in a million years.
After my father left, I gave it a try. I struggled to control the air particles well enough to contain them within my body before expelling them. And even then, I ended up hitting everything in sight. I realized I had a long way to go before I could even come close to matching my dad's abilities.
