Lap, is it? Or tail is a better name 

Musical laughs and happy claps I heard when I got up 

"You are awake!" They all happily exclaim

At first glance, seductive beauty is their look 

Long hair, full lips, with their sultry eyes 

Chest bare, and waist down I thought I mistook 

Legs for a tail, but I did not, to my surprise

The shape of their ears resembled that of gills and fin 

Like their waist down, their lower arm became scales from skin 

They moved with such grace and ease like dancers of the seas 

No wonder men of tales left their ships and realities

This place challenges that of the paradise 

Eternal sunshine from above and streams of gleaming water 

Rainbows forming wherever like an island's vice 

Sirens beckoning you come and join them underwater

In a blink I forgot what I ventured for 

"This is it; everything I wished and more" 

Among the sirens I swam and played 

What is there to worry about, even when I'm out late?
