A furious and deafening roar echoed through the air, shaking me to my core. It wasn't just one roar; it was a chorus of menacing sounds, as if multiple creatures were closing in on the village.
"Luna's urgent voice broke through the chaos. 'Farkas, go to the village and ensure all the children and elders are safely inside the hospital. Take anyone capable of fighting to defend us!'"
Luna's urgency conveyed a dire situation. If she believed we needed more defenders than just our parents and herself, then we were in deep trouble.
Farkas swiftly grabbed me and Ilva, leading us through the town until we reached the crowded hospital. The building was filled with frightened children and many other people, there weren't many people here though, the village isn't that big but there's really only about 150 people here as of right now, which was already much more than this hospital can take. The other people are probably hiding somewhere else. I spotted Farkas and approached him, eager to help fend off the threat. However, he firmly denied my request and instructed me to stay put. I argued persistently, insisting that I could be of assistance, but he dismissed my pleas and left with the others.
Returning to Ilva, who had remained silent since our arrival, I sat beside her and anxiously awaited the next turn of events.
"Umm..."
"Yes?" I responded, realizing Ilva was trying to get my attention.
"Do you think they will be okay?"
Ilva's face displayed no fear or nervousness, but she had always been adept at concealing her emotions.
"I believe so... There's no way those monsters can overcome both of our parents," I reassured her, exuding confidence in my words.

"We can't beat those monsters"
My head throbbed mercilessly as I regained consciousness. If it hadn't been for the potions Luna had provided, I doubted we would have awakened in time to confront the encroaching monsters.
Farkas and Luna stared at me, utterly incredulous. I rarely admitted defeat to such creatures, reserving it for only the direst situations. If this were one of those moments, it would be prudent to abandon the village and flee. However, I possessed a fail-safe device that could teleport me to a predetermined location—my home—taking my wife with me, which had saved us on a previous occasion.
Peering out the window, I noticed a colossal shadow circling above my house. Had the monster already arrived? Everyone gathered outside, and the shadow transformed into an immense bird, resembling a raven, standing about 10 feet tall and measuring 14 feet in length. Each beat of its enormous wings produced a powerful gust. Preparing for a potential battle, I began manipulating the air pressure around the bird.
"Suspend your attack, Rohan. She has come to assist us," Spirit's voice resounded behind me as he emerged from the woods.
A boy wanders into the woods near his home. He becomes separated from his friend and starts roaming around the woods until he discovers a clearing. In that clearing, a dying beast is lying on the floor. Curious, the boy approaches, and the beast offers its heart to him. The boy takes the heart, and thus begins his journey with the beast's powers.
