His energy began to shift once again this time turning close to water as it circulated around his arm. The aura this time began to slowly expand more than the rest but was still fairly close to the body.

"This is Smoothening."

𝓢𝓶𝓸𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰: Energy that is loosely apart capable of sliding, spreading and even flying across things. It can almost soften blows and lessen abrasions, fires and bludgeoning's. It is the most flexible of them all and can create many abilities that leads to more combinations.

"Smoothening can do wonderous for making you faster but has a hefty downside of unable to do very much damage unless you put a large amount of energy into it."

Cloudy seemed to be conflicted wondering why Hunter had stopped the battle and announced Nick as the winner. Hunter glanced at the two before giving his verdict.

"Cloudy.. The reason why I intervened was for both your safety. There is another reason of course which leads to what I'm going to say next."

"And that is?"

Cloudy said still upset over the loss.

"Aura. Aura Manipulation."

𝓐𝓾𝓻𝓪 𝓜𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓹𝓾𝓵𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷: The process of moving, controlling and mastering the use of energy. This allows switching between the three methods, Sharpening, Refining, and Smoothening. Only one method can be used at a time.

"I intervened because I caught Nick using it. If I hadn't stopped you both.. Cloudy you could've died."

".. Nick did you really try to kill me?"

"Hell no! I don't gain anything from that! I don't even know how to use what he is talking about."

Hunter spoke in between them defending Nick's actions.

"He's correct he has no idea how to use it and that's why it became dangerous. From what I observed Nick seems to have an innate talent for using aura. Don't get my words wrong either though he can use it but not control it. At that last moment you two were about to strike one another I saw energy fluctuating around his axe."

Nick was just as confused as the rest but decided to shout his words to release the sudden stress he felt.

"So what are you saying? I can use aura?"

"Exactly as you said. With proper learning and following you can grow your control and mastery over aura becoming a force to be reckon with. What you did before was only a spark of what you can do."

Royal's curiosity peaked wanting a question of his to be answered which shortly after he got what he wished for.

"Is using aura different for everyone? It seems to be extremely flexible and versatile for each person."

"Yes aura is different for everyone. Some may hold some traits but there is no person that is the same when it comes to using aura and controlling it. Aura can become what you see it as. It's possible to even turn energy to matter with specific requirements. That is what is so great about it. Although... There is many downsides to using aura which can lead to even death."

𝒜𝓊𝓇𝒶 𝐸𝓍𝒽𝒶𝓊𝓈𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: Depletion of ones entire aura supply. Everyone has more or less they can hold but can expand it though rigorous training and desperate situations. If one succumbs to aura exhaustion they will be unable to move likely to pass out shortly after. There have been rare cases of where death takes place after they fall unconscious.

They all were silent understanding the very basics of aura and how devastating it can be if used incorrectly. Hunter pulled the mood out of its gloomy state and brightened the area up a bit telling them to rest up for the night and that they could continue their talk for tomorrow. He gestured for them to follow showing them multiple guest rooms that he had ready now belonging to them. Nick chose the one on the far left while Cloudy decided on the room right in the middle with Royal on the far right with no complaints to say. Hunter let out a small sigh and turned to his right seeing his room opened. He marched on inside and fell onto his bedside closing his eyes for just a while. He woke up in a panic after sometime in distress. His breathing was rapid and his vision was blurred. It was around midnight when he grabbed his things, stomped his way toward the front door putting on his boots and headed outside. It took only a few minutes but he reached the hill he was at holding onto a photo and his diary. It was a special place for him. Taking a seat at the very edge of the hill he let his legs dangle once again as he reached for his pocket taking out the diary he left inside. He updated the contents inside and was about to finish up until he heard sounds of footsteps growing closer as they hit the snow. He turned his whole upper body in the direction of the person seeing Royal approaching him with a dull stare.

"Can I sit with you?"

He asked not caring if he gave a response or not knowing he would just sit down anyway.

"... Go head."

They both gaze up on the moon's light with the stars in the background. The atmosphere was extremely awkward to say the least.

"Why are you up kid? It's late don't you think?"

Hunter watched as their breathes were clearly visible from the freezing wind that was pressing on their bodies. Yet the boys expression was unfazed with his body giving no signs of shivering.

"I can ask the same question to you. Why are you up?"

Hunter couldn't get passed the fact of how forward Royal could be at times and decided it was best to make something up to not trouble him.

"I-I'm-... *sigh* I couldn't sleep very well."

Royal glared at him knowing fully well he wasn't telling the truth using his face as proof. He spoke sternly this time wanting to know if everything was alright.

"What's the real reason? You can talk to me if you need it."

Hunter was really not good at dealing with awkward situations like the one he was in and chose to explain his worries and troubles to a teenager not even close enough to drink yet. Venting his emotions, frustrations as the weight on his shoulders lifted only just a smidgen.

"My wife~.."

"You have a wife?"

"No~... I did. She went missing long ago. I know she's-.. Yeah.. I have to accept that but it's hard."

"Oh.. I'm sorry."

"Don't be~. You have nothing to be sorry for. Only apologize for something that you mean alright?"

"Ok~.."

"She was the most beautiful woman throughout the land. Nothing could withstand her charming looks and alluring body. I'm surprised she fell in love with someone like me honestly. We could call that a miracle in itself. She was a gentle maiden.. I truly loved her with every fiber of my being. My mission is to bring her back somehow."

Royal continued looking upward seeing the stars glimmering with flamboyance.

"I never had parents growing up. In fact all three of us never did. We were there at the orphanage since we were babies from what we were told. When you found us and took us in you couldn't believe how surreal that felt. Maybe.. Never mind that's beside the point. Your wife... she really did love you with all her heart didn't she? I can tell from the way you speak of her that she felt the same way you do even at this moment."

Hunter stayed quite unable to choose on what words to say next. He felt a chill crawling down his back with the winter air rushing past him hastily. Both the moon and the stars being their only source of light with his eyes locked onto Royal's violet hue. Royal spotted the diary Hunter was holding onto hiding it away from him to his side but knew it was best to not pry further more. He got up wiping the snow away from his bum and made a trip back to the cabin. Just before leaving he spoke without turning back making a statement that would be a reminder to him and the other two in the future of Hunter's mission.

"𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝒽𝑒𝓁𝓅 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒷𝓇𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓌𝒾𝒻𝑒 𝒷𝒶𝒸𝓀."

Hunter could no longer hear Royal from a distance with the sound of snow crackling and finally let out his emotions. He forced himself to stare at the moon itself with bitter tears falling from his face yet he was strangely happy that someone was really willing to help him do what no one else would dare to.
