Daichi and Surya were supposed to be the hall monitors last night, but they bribed Asahi to take their place and instead found an empty room to have some fun.
So Surya was relieved he'd had the foresight to set his alarm for their 4 a.m. shenanigans, since they accidentally fell asleep in a tangled mess. When it went off like a siren right under his head, he rolled out from under Daichi's arm.
Cracking his stiff neck, he tried to shake Daichi awake, but it was like trying to rouse a corpse. So on zombie-mode, he just started pulling on Daichi's socks for him. By the time he was shoving Daichi's one arm through a sleeve, Daichi was stirring with a groan.
"It's time for the prank," Surya reminded him in a whisper.
"It's too early." Daichi's voice was hoarse from sleep.
Too early for a prank, but apparently not for another activity.
Surya was still leaning over Daichi, grabbing all the clothes they'd feverishly stripped from each other hours earlier, when he abruptly felt Daichi lightly kissing his inner thigh. His breath hitched in surprise, and Daichi seized his chance to lick higher and harder.
A shiver ran through him even as he threaded his fingers through Daichi's hair, trying to ease that mouth away before he started aching for something more.
But Daichi was persistent. His tongue slid down the length of Surya, who shuddered and reflexively gave way to that soft heat. He fixed his grip, digging his fingers against Surya's hips to hold him still, and went down harder on him.
Surya felt like he was burning up.
He tipped his head back, closing his eyes, and felt every inch of Daichi's mouth on him. Even the light warmth of Daichi's breath had his skin tingling.
They moved in perfect sync, until the trickle of pleasure became overwhelming, emptying his head. It had him gasping with his fingers fisting in Daichi's hair, and without thinking, he started to wrap his trembling legs around that waist, riding up against Daichi.
But Surya's second alarm went off and they had to run.
They went from door to door with plastic wrap, creating invisible walls, and kept having to cover their mouths with their hands to smother their laughter.
When Leon finally joined them with the water guns, he was already utterly drenched. Harper arrived after him with more weapons, looking very dry and very pleased with herself.
Then all the seniors, armed with water balloons and guns, took up position in front of the first few doors. When everyone was ready, Surya gave his ear-piercing whistle, and they started calling for everyone to evacuate.
Pandemonium ensued. Doors were thrown open, and students came rushing out, but they got caught in the plastic. Then people were tackling each other in revenge and skidding through the hallway, shrieking and laughing.
Surya stuck close behind Daichi, who went wild with his water gun. But Daichi abruptly took Surya's shoulder, pointing through the chaos, and Surya ducked low to follow after him. It was so chaotic that it felt like they were diving and darting through trenches.
Daichi finally stopped his charge and straightened in a doorway. Over his shoulder, Surya watched Akira still half-snagged in his bedroll, looking bewildered and dishevelled. Akira's hair was sticking up in all directions, like he'd been electrocuted, and Surya could almost see all the question marks popping up around him.
"Just woke up?" Daichi grinned, already very drenched.
Akira lifted his hands. "Ah-?"
Daichi sprayed Akira right in the face.
Akira tried to kick free of his blanket, but he tripped, slipping on the water, and just barely caught himself on his hands.
Surya shot some water at the back of Daichi's head. "Stop picking on the baby!"
He kept Daichi at bay, moving around him to help his poor junior. He reached down to take the back of Akira's shirt and hoist him onto his feet. Then he dropped some water balloons into Akira's hands and dramatically struck a pose.
"Time for some sweet revenge," he said, pushing up his hair and winking.
Daichi struck a similarly ridiculous pose with his gun. "Naw, you cannot win against this."
Someone certainly tried. A water balloon flew at Daichi's chin, and he sprung to the side, just barely avoiding it. He turned wide-eyed to Akira's now empty hand, while Surya grinned.
"I've armed the Little Bears' best shooter," Surya boasted. "Just try and beat us! Take aim!"
Akira immediately lifted another water balloon, grinning from ear-to-ear. And together, they started chasing down Daichi.
They tore up the room, splattering the walls and bedrolls, and ended up wrestling on the floor. Surya got his knee on Daichi's chest, pinning him, and Akira laughingly sprawled over his stomach, having to use his entire weight to help.
Daichi could have easily thrown them aside, but his own laughter weakened him. He even squirmed for effect, like he was in his death throes. And with the memories of their recent trysts still very fresh in Surya's mind, Surya shot him a glance, warning him to stop moving like that under him, but Daichi just smirked.
"You put up a valiant fight," Surya grieved, maintaining focus. "Do you have any last words?"
"You-" But Surya sprayed Daichi in his spluttering face.
"Die with some dignity," Akira said.
"Please," Surya agreed. "Now, prepare yourself."
But from outside the hall, Professor Masami shouted, "Just what do you think you're doing?"
"Aw, you're lucky." Surya smiled sweetly down at Daichi.
"Says who?" he muttered when they heard Masami tearing into the students.
As Akira quickly crawled off of Daichi, both Daichi and Surya's gaze dropped to his ass. He started to say something, and they wrenched their startled faces away. Surya didn't even know what he said.
Leon ducked into the room, whispering, "Surya?"
Surya and Daichi stood, and after a moment, so did Akira.
"Are we making a run for it?" Leon asked. "Harper's already taking responsibility."
"I'll go out," Surya sighed.
"I'm ducking," Daichi nodded. "Masami-tov hates my guts."
Surya placed a solemn hand on his shoulder. "Coward."
Daichi saluted him and went for the window anyway. He started climbing over it and Leon tried to scamper after him, but Surya snagged Leon's collar and jerked him to a stop.
"No way. Everyone saw your face, and there's no way you'd survive that drop," Surya said, towing him toward the door and their inevitable scolding.
"You're playing favourites again," Leon whined.
The hallway was filled with dripping students slowly filing back into their rooms. The professor was directing a bunch of them to mop up the worst of their war, before he then marched the seniors into the cafeteria to berate them.
Luckily, Masami wasn't actually all that angry about it. In fact, he started laughing when Harper showed him the videos of students crashing into the plastic and getting sprayed. He did warn them never to do it again when he was in charge, though.
Surya felt a newfound respect for Masami as he and the other seniors jumped to their feet, preparing to go clean up their prank.
"Oh," the professor suddenly said, making them pause, "but it'd be a problem if any troublemaker thought they could get out of this by running away. So send that Daichi to my office on Monday, okay?"
