The Moon Wolf Diaries

Chapter Four

Chapter Four

Jun 22, 2023

Third-Person POV

Regan Zallenda was a destined Alpha who wanted nothing but perfection in his pack- a sexy and strong female wolf as his Luna, no gay relationships, and NO OMEGAS that might be a detriment to his viewpoints of running a strong pack.

And in his mind, Carson Hadley was not the mate that he needed, no matter if it was blessed by the Moon Goddess herself. So when he felt the bond break between him and the omega, it gave him the permission to find and sleep around with as many unmated females to find the perfect Luna for him- omega females need not be allowed in his room.

But as he woke up to the pounding on his bedroom door, Regan couldn't help but think that something big was about to go down. And he also felt that his life was about to be over. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he bellowed, grabbing his boxers and slipping them on before sliding out of the bed and away from the many females. He turned to the mirror and smirked. He felt like a million bucks.

He opened the door to reveal the angry faces of his parents, Ciara, and even Miles and his grandmother. "What?" he said flatly.

POW!

Regan was suddenly laid flat on his back as his father towered over him. "You idiot!" Harvey yelled. "Do you realized what you had done?!"

Realization hit the young wolf on his face as he smiled widely. "You mean rejecting that ratty omega? I think that was my best idea yet," he drawled happily just as he saw Keith come into the room before standing up. "And besides, I did what I needed to do."

POW!

"What the fucking hell?!" Regan yelled, his smile replaced by anger as he sported a bloody nose courtesy of Ciara. "Ciara, you fucking-"

"Finish that sentence, mutt, and I'll tear your throat out," Miles snarled, letting his eyes glow gold. "You don't respect my mate like that."

"I'm going to be your next Alpha, Miles, so you need to show some loyalty to me," Regan growled.

"No, you're not," Delia said angrily. "Your actions proved to your father and me that you're not worthy of being the next Alpha."

"What?!"

"You heard him," Miles' grandmother Abby Mae said. "I'm not surprised since all I can see is evil in your heart."

"Shut up, you old cow," Regan shot back.

POW!

This time, Miles was towering over him. "That's strike two," he said, letting his wolf Osiris show. "Next time, you're dead."

"Get dressed," Harvey ordered. "The Council of Supernaturals are coming and they know." With that, he and his entourage left the stunned Regan, the perplexed Keith and his father, and even the females (who were wide awake) to themselves.

Ciara came back with a letter addressed to him. "Read this," was all she said before leaving again.

"Dude, what the hell was that about?" Keith asked, helping his best friend stand up.

"I don't know, but that runt is dead meat when I find him," he grunted as he took the letter and began to read.

Well, Regan, it's come down to this- the one letter that I hoped that I never have to write.

I guess you can say that there's nothing left to say between us but thanks. Thank you for showing me your true colors when you rejected me and had me exiled/killed so you can get your jollies off somewhere else. Thank you for not giving me a chance when I saw nothing but hatred in your heart. And most of all, thank you for permitting me to perform the unthinkable- the Soul Conversion.

"Holy fucking shit," Keith said, turning to glare at his best friend.

I knew that Keith was an asshole from the beginning as well as his fellow friends and the other wolves, so I can't fault them. But you? I thought that you'd be the one to save me from my misery, lead me out of the basement and into your love. But I guess some things are never meant to be. All the same, I can only say goodbye. Don't look for me because I will be far gone. You got your wish, Regan Zallenda. I'm setting you free.

Enjoy your throne while you can, Your Majesty. But remember Shakespeare: Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.

Have a nice life.

Carson Hadley.

Regan just shrugged, ripping the letter into pieces. "Who cares?" he said nonchalantly. "I hope rogues tear out his flesh and-"

POW!

Regan was flat on his back as a FURIOUS Keith and the girls stood over him. "We're not friends, pig," Keith said. "May the Goddess forgive me. I led the ome- er, Carson- to do something that I thought he'd never do. It's all my fault."

"Dude, you're not going to turn your back on me now, are you?" Regan demanded.

"Yes, I am. And for the record? Carson would've made a kickass Luna. Rot in hell, Alpha- that is, if the Council decided to take mercy on you," Keith said. He and the other females left the room, leaving Regan to his thoughts.

***************

To the Four Aces Pack,

In case you all didn't know, I've been rejected and exiled by none other than Regan Zallenda. And in case I'm dead, I leave you all my final words for you all to remember me by.

I knew that I didn't have it easy since my parents were killed by rogues after I was born. And I knew that most of you didn't care for this runt. But some of you didn't know what was going on or showed me some kindness. Even the pups who came with their parents were there to bring me some light in my dark-filled world. I'm grateful for them. I'm grateful for Harvey and Delia who taught me to write when I was forbidden to go to school. I'm grateful for Ciara and her friends who snuck me some food and new clothes. And even as I write this, I know that some of my bullies are showing remorse. But to those who have no regrets and to Regan who wanted me out of the pack? Well, you made it clear that I didn't belong.

So, I performed the Soul Conversion, hoping to find my road to happiness as a human and live out the rest of my days in peace. I might sound selfish, but I'm taking advantage while the taking is good as gold. Maybe in the next life, I'll find someone who can love me for me. But if there's no next life for me, that's fine. One life on earth was hell enough for me.

I, Carson Hadley, being of sound mind and sound body, hereby cut all ties with the Four Aces Pack of Denver, Colorado as well as cut all ties with the supernatural from this time on and forevermore.

This is where I say goodbye. So, goodbye.

Carson Hadley.

The now-full ballroom that held the massive pack members and the seven-member Council of the Supernaturals was full of sadness with crying pups and their mothers, teary-eyed females, and solemn-faced males. Only Regan had a giant smile on his face as the last words of Carson's letter were read by the heartbroken Council leader- a were-dragon shifter named Alison Maurey.

"As you all can see, there is sadness in this pack," the were-dragon said, turning her anger towards Regan, who just shrugged in nonchalance. "And Harvey and Delia? I do believe that you two did all you could to grant some comfort to the poor boy."

"We did," Harvey said. "I'm ashamed of this pack- the ones who contributed to Carson's suffering, that is."

"As you should," said a grim-faced vampire. To the pack. "Can I have those who showed mercy on Carson Hadley and those who didn't know head to the right side of the room?"

Of the two thousand members (pups included), ninety-seven of them remained on the left with Regan and Keith included.

"To those on the right, you should be commended for your pains," a lovely dark-skinned werecat named Mariah said. "And Miles?"

"Yes, ma'am?" Miles said.

"You are Ciara's mate, yes? Well, we're offering you and your grandmother high honors for letting the boy escape," said the vampire known as Vladimir. "You should be proud to let such a boy who didn't deserve the misery escape from the heartless hands of Regan."

"Thank you, sir," Miles said.

"As for those who let him suffer?" Alison said, turning her gaze to Keith, Regan, and the other bullies. "You will face punishment. I motion for Regan to be denied the title of Alpha and for him to remain as an unranked wolf."

"Second the motion," said a large hellhound.

"All in favor?" asked Mariah.

"Aye," said the pack members.

"You can't do this," Regan defended. "That runt is not my mate."

"We can and we have," Vladimir said.

Keith stood forward. "Your Graces, I know that I deserve my punishment, but I had no idea that my actions would lead Carson to do something drastic," he said. "If only I had known-"

"But you chose to not know," Mariah said, a curt look in her eyes. "But at least you show remorse for your sins. You will serve a lesser sentence in the dungeons for a time."

"Yes, ma'am," Keith said. To Regan, "Thanks a lot, pal. Rot in hell."

And as the meeting went on, Regan felt his future of greatness being snatched away- watching his sister become the first Female Alpha and Miles become the first male Luna in the pack, him being demoted to a worker in the kitchens, and every female turning their backs on him (one of them going as far as kneeling him in the balls). And all he could think about is how to get revenge on the one who made this possible.

Because in his eyes, Carson was a detriment that needed to be eliminated by death.

Ladies and gentlemen, Regan has no regret for what he's done. And I know that pisses you all off to no end, am I right?

But as they say, pride always go before a fall. And the bigger the proud, the harder they fall.

In the next chapter, we fast-forward to two years as Carson moves on before he faces yet another game-changing moment, one that will definitely spread the word like wildfire! And let's just say that this is the start of something gigantic! Stick around!

Carson did not have a charmed life. Being seen as the "runt of the Four Aces werewolf pack," he was subjected to be used as a whipping boy and punching bag by most of the teens while being denied almost all of the privileges. Aside from Alpha Harvey and Luna Delia Zallenda and their daughter Ciara along with some supporters; Carson was treated like garbage.

And when the Alpha's son Reagan comes home on his birthday and senses the Omega as his mate before rejecting him, Carson was more than ready to be exiled and live the rest of his days as a human.

But the Moon Goddess, Trinity by name, has other plans for him- plans that involve eight second-chance mates, a heavenly royal lineage, the downfall of two arrogant brothers separated by birth, and so much more.

From a dusty basement to an opulent palace, this is the story of Carson Hadley, the long-awaited Moon Wolf. Dive in if you dare to read. Or even better, dive in if you don't.
