Barnabas lit the purple incense with the gold specks, closed his eyes, and tried to relax. He climbed into the bathtub and, not for the first time, contemplated a nap. He resisted the urge.
He felt around in his mind for the proper shape and reached out for it. The tub lifted a few inches off the ground, where Barnabas managed to keep it for almost two minutes before the pain overwhelmed him and it fell back down with a loud thud. He sighed and got out, walked to his bed, and tried to sleep off his aches and his disappointment.
