“What was that?”
“Nothing,” Jasmine says walking into the kitchen.
“Nothing? That’s the best you got? Cause that sure as hell wasn’t ‘nothing’,” Taylor says stepping in front of Jasmine effectively blocking her path to the fridge.
“Don’t worry about it,” Jasmine says trying to sidestep Taylor only for the blonde to step into her path once again.
“Don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about the fact that your mother showed up at your door and you shoved her out like she was the devil. You never acted like that towards your Dad and he hit you. What the hell did she do to you?” Taylor asks, her hands coming to rest on her hips.
“He apologized. She didn't. Hell, he admitted that what he did was wrong, she won't even acknowledge what she has done. She still thinks she hasn't done anything to damage me.”
“Damage you? What did she do? Did she hurt you?” Taylor asks stepping closer to Jasmine.
“Not physically. She left. As often as she wanted. With whoever she wanted, pretty much anyone who wasn’t my dad or me. She got hooked on drugs and then got my dad hooked too, oh and don't forget all those times men came knocking at our door looking for money we didn't have so they'd either take what they wanted or beat the shit out of my dad and sometimes her too. So forgive me for hating my mom, I'm sorry,” Jasmine finished trying her best not to yell.
“Jasmine..” Taylor sighed as she wrapped the other woman in her arms. “I'm sorry.”
