(The Demon was grumpy and frustrated with the weakness of the Saiya sent to him and loses his cool. He casually swings his arms to hit Takeobin anger while throwing a tantrum.)

Demon: You pesky little brat. Just die already.

(Takeo, stricken with fear seeks a way out his perilous situation. Suddenly, the ground between them erupts in an explosion, a shadowy figure appears within the explosion.)

Yuri: Backup's here.

Takeo: Yuri?

Yuri: Yo, Takeo. Looks like you're having a tough time. You look like crap.

(The tension in Takeo's face suddenly fades away along wit all his worries upon Yuri's arrival. Takeo resolves himself to retain his image in Yuri's eyes and gets off the ground.)

Takeo: He's strong, don't underestimate him. He wiped out my entire squad.

Yuri: Oh... Let's put an end to him then.

Takeo: Yeah. Let's...

(A stream of wind passes by them and blows away the demon)

Yuri: Wait for us.

Takeo: Another troublesome one has joined the team, I assume?

Yuri: Yeah.

Takeo: Geez, you're all a bunch of troublemakers. Let's go. Watch out for the bones protruding from his back. He can shoot them at you. (I don't have time to grieve right now, everyone. I'll avenge you.)

(The demon narrowly misses Karma's attack but he quickly evades. Karma jumps back despite having the upper hand for reasons even he didn't know.)

Demon: You got good instincts. Finally, some good recruits.

Karma: The fuck are you on??

Takeo and Yuri: Ninja art: Shadow strike.

(They launch a flurry of high-speed attacks, breaking the sound barrier, but their strikes fail to penetrate the demon's tough skin. They proceed to attack with different sequences of Ninja Arts.)

Takeo: Ninja art: Multiple shadow clones plus Fire balls.

(He creates a diversion to allow Yuri to slip past the demon's perception.)

Yuri: Thanks. Howl like the wind.

(She dashes past the demon, leaving a trail of slicing wind in her wake. The Demon is frustrated by their childish and disturbing attacks.

The demon retaliates with bone projectiles, but Takeo swiftly moves Yuri out of harm's way. Karma gets tired of their cat and mouse game and dives straight into the battle. Takeo resumes his assault, severing the demon's hands, but they regenerate instantly.)

Yuri: I'm coming in with the strike of lightning.

(Yuri strikes the demon head-on like a bolt of lightning. After the resulting explosion, Takeo engulfs the demon in flames.)

Takeo: Don't give him a chance to react. Keep attacking. (Until we find a clear opening.)

(Karma disregards the plan and continues to assault the demon relentlessly. His constant attacks prevents the demon from focusing on anything else besides protecting himself.)

Yuri: Whirlwind slash.

Takeo: Shadow palms.

(Hands formed from Takeo's shadows hold the demon in place as he shouts out as a signal. Tera who had been silent the entire time was slowly gathering her Mana.)

Tera: Kusanagi release: 1st form: Striking Sun.

(Tera gathers Mana from her heart into her sword, holding her stance until it reaches its peak. In an instant, she slashes the demon's arms, obliterating the bones on his back, before sheathing her weapon. Karma seizes the moment and delivers a powerful blow, sending the demon hurling away. Karma gets frustrated by the messing with his opponent.)

Takeo: (Even that wasn't enough to kill him, but now we have an opportunity.) Yuri, let's finish this.

Yuri: Yeah.

Takeo: Shadow concealment.

(Takeo dives into his own shadow, confusing the demon while Yuri launches a frontal assault. Tera cheers them from behind in optimism while Karma's face turns eerie. He looks at his fingertips and suddenly turns his attention to the Demon.

Karma suddenly remembers e the Demon's words from earlier asYuri moves in to attack. Bones suddenly materialize behind her as she gets within range.)

Demon: (That brat had good instincts. It wouldn't work on him, but the rest of you, caught off guard. It's a certain hit.)

Takeo: (Dammit, he can create bones within a certain range, not just from his body.)

(The Demon takes control of the bones, shooting them toward Yuri. However, Takeo swiftly swaps places with her, taking the brunt of the attack and getting impaled by the bones. Yuri screams after seeing Takeo impaled by the bones and Tera stands dazed and unable to process anything.)

Yuri: Noooooooooo!

Demon: Haha, I finally got you, pesky brat.

(Karma ignores everything happening around him and attacks the demon, paying no attention to the impaled Takeo or the crying Yuri. Karma and the demon engage in intense combat with Karma showing no signs of struggling but rather relaxed.)

Takeo: I'm... sorry, but... it seems... this is the...

[Yuri has a flashback of her younger years with Takeo.]

(Yuri, Takeo, and others fleeing from pursuers, losing friends one by one. Yuri almost getting struck by a shuriken, but Takeo protecting her. After successfully evading their pursuers, finding refuge in a cave on a dark and rainy night to tend to their wounds.)

Takeo {Panting}: We finally lost them.

Yuri: You're injured.

Takeo: It's nothing. At least we survived.

Yuri: But all our friends...

Takeo: They couldn't make it. But we did. Our dreams aren't dead yet. Despite the risks, we always believed in reaching this day. Let's live for them too.

Yuri: Live for them?

Takeo: Let's live our lives to the fullest and ensure their sacrifices were not in vain. I know you miss Himura.

(Yuri starts to cry, and Takeo gently pats her on the head looking into the dark and rainy night.)

Takeo: She was your best friend, but she would want you to move on and find a new purpose. That was our dream, wasn't it?

Yuri: Yes.

Takeo: And one day, we'll bring them all to justice, no matter what it takes.

[Present]

(Yuri cradles Takeo's lifeless body, tears streaming down her face.)

Yuri: How can you live life to the fullest if you're dead, Takeo?

Demon: Like he can hear you?

Yuri: I'll kill you right now.

(Yuri charges at the demon, but Karma grabs her by the shirt and slams her forcefully into the ground, preventing her from getting killed. Karma places his foot on Yuri's stomach stopping her from getting back up.)

Demon: (This brat. I could have killed them all if he wasn't level-headed).

(Yuri begins screaming and throwing a tantrum while trying to get Karma move his foot. She stabs him with kunai and blades on his foot multiple times but Karma pays no attention to her. Tera tries to comfort Yuri, asking her to calm down but Yuri bursts out in anger.)

Yuri: How can you tell me to calm down? You can't understand the pain of losing a friend. He's not just a friend; he's family to me.

(Karma with his eyes clearly fixed on the Demon replies Yuri without a shred of emotion showing.)

Karma: So what? Do you expect me to sympathize with you? Friends, family, it doesn't matter in battle. He was weak, and so he died. Deal with it. If you want to die too, be my guest. You're nothing but a reckless burden. Do you understand?

(Yuri screams further and tries to fight her way up but slowly begins to loose her will to keep going. She finally calms down, her tear-filled eyes fixed on Karma who still paid her no attention.)

Karma: Death only means weakness. I grew up with one rule: the strong survive, and the weak die. You'd be dead right now if it weren't for Nova and his stupid conditions. Stop holding me back, choose to fight, and emerge victorious or die fight, or you can just recklessly die as another casualty of this mission.

Tera: (That was harsh. Wasn't it?.)

(Karma finally takes his foot off her and steps forward towards the Demon. Yuri shakes her head vigorously, wiping away her tears.)

Yuri: (He's right. This is not the time for this.) Let's slay this creature. Tera, let's go.

Karma {Annoyed}: (I'm tired of this shit. I don't care what Nova says anymore. If they slip up, I'll kill them.)

(They both attack, their movements now in sync. Yuri almost gets hit, but she swiftly retreats behind Karma who gets hit in her place.)

Karma: (This brat...)

Yuri: Now go, Tera.

Tera: Kusanagi release.

(She swings her sword, cutting off the demon's arm, which quickly regenerates.)

Demon: Too slow.

Yuri: Tera, look out!

(The demon lands a heavy blow on Tera, but Karma attacks follow up immediately containing the Demon.)

Demon: You brat.

(The demon kicks Karma away, and Ninja retaliates, only to be thrown back. Just before the demon strikes Tera, both him and Tears are engulfed by an explosion. A voice from the sky draws their attention.}

Venus {Bored}: I'm tired of watching you losers go back and forth.
