He looked so adorable pouting just a few hours ago, later falling asleep comfortably as soon as I pulled him into a cuddle.

His body felt so soft and the heat radiating from him complemented my cool body temperature so well... He smelled so refreshing that I didn't even realise when  I dozed off....

But then, all of a sudden, he started rolling with pain that seemed almost unbearable, all the sweat dripping down his body and tears running down his beautiful face, made me feel utterly helpless.

Even though I wanted to protect him from all the harm and never see him cry again, all I could do  was wipe him down with wet towels that Rin had advised me to do till she arrived. 

Sigh!

 I noticed something before when I had stripped Lex out of his shirt for the first time, although we were busy exploring each others body, I couldn't get the image of that tattoo out of my mind, although it consisted nothing special but only NUMBERS! 

A weird set of numbers were tattooed on the back of  his right shoulder with a letter "SN" at the start of it. 

I wanted to ask him about it, but I couldn't find the right timing.... Also, I was afraid that it might be attached to some kinda painful memory.... Also, the digits could be a birth date, his or maybe a lover?! 

That's not the only suspicious thing I found out, he also had a few scars which were so neatly disguised. They were like that from some sort of surgeries but without proper knowledge many would neglect it thinking about them as regular scars or birth marks. One more thing that struck me was that he had bruises on hands which had most probably formed from repeated needle pricks, similar to that of a drug abuser.

Although I know that Lex might not be the one doing them willfully... It also had me thinking if they were from his past abusive relationship??

I dismissed the thoughts since even if he had one, it's in the past and although these thoughts do compell me to find the culprit right away and bury him alive, that can wait... I need Lex to get well first.  However, imagining Lex loving someone else, still made my heart sting with jealousy. 

The reason the simple tattoo had raised a suspicion  is because the way they are inked seems to be rather in a peculiar digital font with no spacing like normal birth date tattoos have, so it's making me even more curious.

 Whatever it is I need to know, I just can't brush off this unsettling feeling within me... I'll have to dig for the info with the help of my best man and my closest  friend Jeff once Lex starts feeling alright.

 Back to the present. I am fuming with anger at my own incompetence. Since I'm not able to help Lex even though I had promised myself to protect this adorable boy who still seems to be in pain.

When Lex had finally gained a little consciousness, he had put  up a strong front, trying to smile through his pain, which felt like a hundred needles piercing right through my heart.

He should be complaining and crying out loud, asking me to do something to make him feel better, but all. he does is holds it in. 

Looking at this pale beautiful boy in my arms, I can't help but keep falling for him over and over, the realisation makes me clutch him tighter as if  any loss of contact between us, will make him disappear at any second.

 Thankfully our closeness somehow ends up calming his nerves down and he snuggles in my arms and snoozes off once again with a peaceful face. 

However that's not the end of my worries since his body is still burning with a fever, and I'm about to put another wet towel on his forehead when I hear a gentle knock on our bedroom door followed by Rin entering inside hurriedly, yet still managing to keep her usual calm demeanor. 

Arthur soon follows her inside and to my surprise his mask-like face is displaying varying emotions from worry to curiosity to sympathy!

Rin's sight lands on Lex and she scans him from top to bottom and then she turns to me as if she has made a new discovery...

"This one seems special, right Dannie?" She asks quirking an eyebrow with a smirk.

"Just hurry up woman!"  I say annoyed at her lack of urgency as she stands there giving me a look.

Sigh...!

"Take a look at him first Rin, I'll explain things later on...I promise" I tell her while my eyes are still glued on to my Baby. 

Once satisfied with my answer she starts checking up on Lex as soon as I lay him on the bed.

   This woman manages to read me like an open book whenever she pleases, which might be helpful at times, but mostly it  annoys the shit out of me. However, she is one of the most dependable persons I have in my life others being Arthur and Jeff.... And yesss my adorable Pup too. That lil guy has lightened  mh world for the better in so many ways.

    Rin has already brought me back from the dead twice now. So yeah, even though she likes to play my Mommy, which felt rather doubtful and burdensome at the start, I ended up letting her have her way and she actually has become more of like an elder sister to me.

   Rin ends her checkup and draws some blood to run tests. She then injects him with some fever reducer and painkillers.

"This will do for now, but Dannie I can't say for sure what's wrong with him , he seems fine overall... except for the fever which might be an infection, but then you said that he was having an intense abdominal pain...mmm.... So we need to get sonography done for starters and if things don't seem clear we might need a CT or MRI too"  Rin explains.

" It might be an attack of  appendicitis.... But let's get a thorough check up first and then it will be better to decide the treatment. I'll run the blood test till then and you get him to the safe house's infirmary once he wakes up....or.... if you still haven't told him about your business, just get him to my clinic. Alright?"  She orders me while she packs her stuff. 

Yep only this woman got the luxury to of ordering my ass around!  Well.....I might love Lex doing the same.

 'Wow! I'm being weird!..  I never liked anyone else taking charge over me. Like everrr!'

      After instructing me on basic things Rin says a quick good night ruffling my hair like usual. To which I glare because I know she would just dimiss my annoyed ass laughing it out.

She is still at the door when she turns around as if she had forgotten something important.

 "Danielle, honey you gotta introduce this cutie to me later.... FORMALLY!" she declares almost sternly emphasizing on the last part, knowing how she used my given name I cannot escape it anyway.

"I heard you women, now leave already! I whisper yell not wanting to disturb my kitten.

"let Arthur drive you home" I tell her and she just lifts her hand in the air and signs an 'OK' and just like that Arthur both of them vanish in the hallway.

✨✨✨✨........................

"Whooshhh!"  I exhale aloud after finally regaining the peace back... I immediately scan Lex, thankfully he currently shows no signs of distress or any discomfort. 

His beautiful and peaceful sleeping face is urging me to plant a kiss on his cheeks but I decide otherwise, afraid that I might wake my Baby up.

 It's now almost 6 in the morning and even though I'm drained, sleep has long left my system..... So I ace Lex back in bed adding a pillow beside him to replace me and wander in my wardrobe to get a change of clothes. I also take an extra pair for Lex since he is wet with all the sweat and tears and I'd hate it if he gets sicker because of that.

 I gently get closer to Lex who is now snoring softly and take his shirt off in a stealthy way to avoid waking him up.  

 'God! I'm not even this careful when I'm in enemy territory!"' I think to myself, surprised at my own behaviour. 

His body is now cold so when I removed his shirt, he moved in closer to me to find heat I guess...?

He looks so adorable doing that, I feel tempted to kiss the living hell out of him yet again, but I slap myself back to reality and wave off my Demons...

 I take off the black sweatshirt that I have changed into and put it on Lex instead. I throw away the pants I have brought for him, instead I bring him closer to my body and pull the duvet over us.

He snuggles into my chest making a cute satisfied "mmmm" sound, and damn I lost my shit for the third time now!!

How can he be so fucking sexy and adorable at the same time?!! 

This Kitten sure brings the puberty stricken Danielle out every now and then. "Kitten" suits him so well right???! 

He was just like a scared abandoned lad when I first met him, but when we finally got closer, he took initiative when I had least expected! My Baby sure knows how to sweep me off my feet! 

Anddd damnnn I love it!

 Those surprise kisses he attacks me with... Has my member twitching every fucking time!

 Just like yesterday... I had thought that maybe Lex would have a hard time getting this intimate with me in this short amount of time. I had thought that only I was the one who was falling hard for him... But I guess he does have feelings for me after all!

Everything about him erupts a mixture of emotions within me, in a super good way of course.

For the better or worst it has me thinking that if I ever did love Sarah the same??? Even after spending so much time together with her, was I ever so shaken up by her???

Sigh!

I just hope she finds someone to love her the way she deserves.

My gaze returns from the grey walls to my lover's face and they immediately lighten up. I place a soft kiss on his forehead and hold him tighter, smiling to myself like an idiot. 

'He's really turning me into a dufus!' I smile to myself.

My eyelids get heavier and things start getting hazy. Yet I manage to take a last glance at my cute lil boyfriend in my arms, thinking how great it would be if he agrees to marry me someday.....!

'I have to work faster to find what had happened to him all those years in past... It might be related to his nightmares too....I have to let Rin know about his nightmares' I make a mental note of it and with some more thoughts in and out I drift into warm slumber again...
