"Now, if you don't mind me asking, who are you?" Collones asked. "Neither me or Johan bought you, so I just want to know."

There was completely quiet for a few moments while Miles was thinking to himself. Should he tell her that he just suddenly woke up in this weird house? Or should he somehow come up with a lie? While he was thinking about all the possible outcomes of everything, Laura was apparently tired of waiting and asked Collones:"Can you keep a secret, Collones?"

Collones suddenly looked more serious, glancing over at Miles and then back to Laura:"Yes, of course, you know that. Why? What is it?"

"Well... Miles wasn't exactly bought og gifted by anyone... He suddenly just appeared on the floor, sleeping." It was quiet for some time when Collones looked at Miles. She suddenly started smiling  again and said:"Well, welcome to the Vanques House, random stranger named Miles that suddenly appeared on the floor sleeping!" and laughed. Laura and Miles looked at eachother, giggling. None of them could hold it in and started laughing too. Honestly, Laura and Collones are those people that you feel comfortable around, no matter who you are, or for how long you’ve known them. Miles is a pretty good example of that. He isn’t exactly the most introverted person in the world, but he isn’t that open towards people he had just met. Right now, he’s practically laughing his ass off compared to how he laughs with other strangers. At most, he giggles a little and that’s it. It’s just their personalities and how they are as people that make them so lovely.

All three of them laughed together for some time before Collones continued the conversation:"But seriously, I really do hope that you'll enjoy your time here, and if you have any questions, just ask me or Laura“.

"Of course. Thank you, Collones, but are you really not wondering how I ended up here?" Like, honestly, who wouldn’t be confused if someone suddenly woke up on the floor of your house without knowing how they got there? I personally would.

“Of course I’m confused, who wouldn’t be? The reason I’m not asking about it, is because I know that you don’t know how you ended up here either, dear” Collones answered. How the hell did she know that he didn’t know?- ”I know, because that’s what my power is. I’m kind of able to know stuff about other people to an extent. Kind of like mind reading, but not exactly the same. It’s about a level 2 power, though it isn’t very common,”- well, there was the answer to our question. 

"What!? Level 2 power? You have powers!?” Miles kind of freaked out. Trust me Miles, I would’ve too, if I didn’t plan the whole thing.

“Yes dear, powers. You didn’t know? Oh, I see now. Do you want me to explain it to you?” Collones asked, with something disturbing her usually happy face. Not that she didn’t look happy, she just also looked a bit… Confused? Worried? Miles couldn’t exactly put a word on it, but he, of course, wanted to know what magic and levels she was talking about, so he said yes. 

“That’s amazing, dear! Let’s go somewhere more private, it’ll seem suspicious if I teach you anything about magic out here if anyone hears us. It’s not like none of us had anything to do anyway. Except for you Laura, you better get back to work before Johan finds out you’re not working!” Laura agreed, thanked Collones and went back to work.
