One of the officers, Captain BiB, looked closely at the map. "I can take a squad of crossbow men and flank around to hit some of their catapult ordinances and buy us even more time. Elara gave a nod. "Pick out some of your best for such a task, for you'll only get one shot."
Another of the officers, Lieutenant Cyrax, chimed in. "And what if The Dark Sorceror is with them?"
Elara shook her head. "Doubtful. He divides his legions and sends them on different routes to Dagon while he leads the main force himself. However, if we are dealing with the main force and Mordekai himself, then we stick to the plan but we'll have to work much faster and leave sooner before he uses his powers."
After they finished discussing tactics, Elara rolled up the map. "Now are there any other questions?" she asked. When no one responded, she continued. "Then let's get to it." As everyone departed, Elara took a mild stroll down the streets. On any other day, this would've been a regular walk for her but not today. Today, she had a task at hand. She soon came to a stop before a small shop and entered. Inside were a series of illuminated items, from everyday houseware to decor. As the door closed, a voice called out from the back, "be right there."
An elf with half of a cybernetic helmet with a single lens came out of the room. He turned the light off and raised the lens. "Ahh, Elara," he said, "How pleasant of you to pay a visit." "Thank you, Safarin. Unfortunately, I'm not here for a simple chat. I need a favor from you." "Of course," Safarin said with a bow, "how may I be of service?" Elara reached into her small pouch and took out the vial. "Can you examine this?" Safarin took the vial and dropped the lens over his eye as he scrutinized the liquid inside. "This is dark magic. I can't quite identify what substances are used for this. Why do you ask?"
"I wanted to know if it had anything volatile in it and if so, could you not only weaponize it but make copies of it?"
Safarin laughed. "You question my abilities? You know I can turn anything into a weapon." He stretched his arms out. "This may may be my every day thing, but I'm always willing to go back to my old hobby, for both you and the king." He then tossed the vial to his other hand. "How many copies do you need, m'lady?" he asked excitedly.
"About 30," Elara said. Safarin scoffed. "Only 30? I need a better challenge than that." Elara shook her head. "Not for out there. I need just 30 for the ambush teams. If you wish to make any more, you may after this, for the rest would be for the wall defenses." Safarin grinned. "So you're giving old Mordekai a fight. I understand." He put the vial in his pouch. "You shall have 30 copies in 30 minutes," he exclaimed. "Thank you," Elara said before leaving.
