it was now 12 am. the fated forth day. although kai hadn't known any of his classmates well enough, barely even knowing any of their names, he cared enough to spend his time to make sure that they were alright. he was actually considering continuing to attend yuuei. 

he had ended up spotting two of his peers in the woods. it seemed they were afraid of something and trying to find a way to get away from it but was unsure of how to. he felt slightly relieved after having spotted them and started to approach. he stopped flying and dropped to the ground closely. he ran towards them, not knowing what was in front of them and ended up getting hurt badly. to be more precise, he was impaled through the waist with a blade. one of them had yelled out to him, but he wasn't able to hear it that well. all he was focused on was the blade. he had never expected to have been so badly hurt during the "battle". 

"hey uh, i know you love to gawk, but could you like, hurry the fuck up and kill that guy?" he asked. slightly annoyed and frustrated. when he was in a tight situation he often got angry easily. without a word, the blonde boy had ran towards the villain and ran an explosion through him, causing even more blades to come out from the villain's mouth. causing the boy to back up. the blade ran deeper into kai. it hurt so much he couldn't even move. he felt powerless. 

the two haired boy had created ice around them to try and safely create a wall between villain and students. 

with quick movements, he froze part of the blade enough and kicked downwards with his leg to sever the connection with the villain and kai. he fell to the ground and spit out a bit of blood. it hurt a lot. the blade had moved even further down into him and blood had already spilled out from both sides. 

"show me... flesh" the villain said in a gruff shaky voice. "oh, shut up!!" kai exclaimed loudly, pulling out a handful of his feathers and throwing it at the villain's direction. it had dodged every single one of them. he was getting more and more annoyed by the minute. he went all out and swarmed the villain with feathers to cloud his vision and gave the signal to the blonde boy to send explosions into the swarm. when he did, kai felt stinging burning pains in his back where his wings came from. he knew what the outcome would be, but he still chose to do it. 

during the fight, there was a message sent by mandalay that aizawa had allowed all students to fight in battle. kai contemplated running away from it all but decided not to after seeing the smoke behind them that was probably not good to inhale. 

the two haired boy froze kai's wound over to help suppress the bleeding and then immediately turned his attention back to the task at hand. 

the explosion that the blonde boy had used had gone to waste. he wasn't damaged at all. it made him think that maybe the villain just wasn't able to be killed. 

"can we just run?! this is exhausting!!!" kai yelled out in frustration. 

suddenly, an unidentifiable voice that had came from the right stole their attention. "here! i heard something. they must be fighting!!" the voice yelled out. all four of them turned their heads to the direction of the voice and saw two battered classmates running from an absolutely terrifying beast that was ripping through trees with ease. "shoji, midoriya, and... tokoyami?!" the two haired boy yelled out. "bakugou, todoroki!! one of you, please, give us some light!!" he yelled out in fear. 

"flesh." the villain said in a steady tone, directing his attention at the darkness. but it was all for naught as the darkness slammed it's hand into him and pressed him against the ground tightly and heavily to the point that the blades retracted back into his teeth and left him there to squirm and scream. the darkness lifted it's hand from his back and the villain slowly got up by his teeth. muttering about needing flesh. "i'll be the one to see those boy's innards!! do not snatch my prizes!!!" he yelled out in anger, back to attacking the darkness. it swiftly snatched the villain up in it's hands and squeezed him tightly while screaming at it not to test it angrily. the dark threw the villain far away and destroyed trees. 

immediately afterwards, who kai assumed was bakugou and todoroki ran past the darkness with flames present. it shrunk down and disappeared to reveal a student that had a dark bird head. the student fell to the ground with a exclamation and  the sweat along his arms were evident. "i'm your worst possible matchup, see?" bakugou muttered. tokoyami who was confused thanked him and stayed sitting on the ground to catch his breath. he apologized for the matter and then got up on his feet.

the rest of the students continued to talk about the situation and how to handle things while bakugou and kai were left standing there to listen in. 

upon walking through the now smoke cleared forest, he was suddenly hit behind the head by a small circular object and immediately was surrounded by a light blue glow. "what the hell...?" he muttered. standing up to look around. there was nothing to look at except the walls that were nearly too close to him. 

when he realized that he had no way to get out and wasn't going to be saved any time soon, he gave up trying to escape. "what a crazy first week of school" he thought to himself. falling asleep slowly.
