“Doc, how could you say I am that monster.”

Brenner silently stared into Joke's eyes. 

“I get it, you can stop the staring now. Is creeping me out.” 

Joke did not hesitate to stare back, in fact, his word contradict  his action as he was waiting for Brenner to break eye contact first

. 

“So Doc, why did you tell Juke how to call me out, it can’t be as simple as trying to let me control me right?”

Brenner lost interest in the staring contest, he just gave a simple smile.

“Would you tell me more about your story about the angel and the devil?”

Joke raise his eyebrow, he was lost for words. 

[Did he really call Juke to wake me up, just to hear my story? I’m a killer, that fact alone should be enough to scare him. There is something wrong with him for sure.]

“ Just don’t be disappointed after hearing the story.”

“I will keep that in mind.”

“This body used to have three personalities. The main personality is name Jake, the angel is name Juke and the devil is name Joke. We use to live in harmony fulfilling our own roles. Just so you know we used to love one another, as we talk a lot to one another quite often. It started to go downhill when we met a kid that was a few years older than us. He had white hair and crimson-red eyes, if I didn't know better I would think you were that kid seeing how you like exactly like him but just older now. The only difference was that the young boy's eyes were lifeless, I and Juke immediately felt something wrong with the kid. Sadly Jake was naive as he was still a young kid. He befriended the crimson eye boy. Although most of the time the Juke took over when Jake was about to spend time with the crimson hair boy. Over time Juke and Jake start to have internal strife due to the boy. Being the devil I played my part by maintaining a neutral party. If only I could turn back time and side with Juke so that the Main personality would not disappear. If I knew that the crimson eye boy was devising a plan to kill Jake I would have already intervened earlier. He used the fact that Juke and Jake were having internal strife to break them apart bit by bit, as time went by Juke and the main personality were fighting every day. The crimson eye boy was slowly sowing its seed and when it was ripe he prepare an event for the main personality, where the crimson eye boy kill off Jake's parents. Jake was distraught, but he still managed to barely hang on to his sanity. Is just that, in the end, we were just dancing in the palm of the red eye demon who start to feed more negative thoughts to Jake, telling him how his parents died because of him. The final straw was how he framed Juke for killing the main personality's parents who were caught on tape which was fake. finally shattering Jake will’s to live causing him to never appear ever again like an ego death. Juke took over the place of Jake but due to some overlapping memory he lost some of his memory.”

“That still does not explain why you hate Juke.”

“I don’t hate him, i just want him to rest in peace, I’m scared that if he broke up with the girl it would kill his ego causing him to die and leaving me alone.”

Brenner took a deep breath running through all the information he have receive, the pieces are slowly coming together.

He could finally solve this long case that was left unresolved.

“ I see, you want to protect Juke from any harm that could cause him to disappear.”

Joke nodded his head slowly.

“How about this Joke, I want you to revert back to Juke so I can talk to him.’

“I‘m sure Juke will not listen, in fact, he wants to make me disappear.”

“Joke trusts me, I promise to solve this for you.”

Joke took a few minutes before making his decision. He closes his eyes and thought of the past to trigger a switch.

Juke open his eyes in front of him was Brenner, he felt something odd. Maybe this was the first time he actually pay attention, his body posture was slightly different, and he could feel a tear on his cheek which was never there before.

Before he could even speak Brenner stood up.

“Doctor Brenner, how did it go?”

“It went well for the first time, could you wait here for a while as i file in a report. After that, i will explain to you about everything.

Juke nodded out of relieve

[I can finally destroy the other personality,]

Brenner softly closes the door behind him making sure it is fully shut. He pull out his phone to make a call,  a twisted grin was shown on his face.

Upon entering back to the room, Brenner was on full alert seeing how the jovial Juke turned stern.

“Doc, what are you doing?”

The cold yet suspicious tone alerts Brenner even more. He slowly continue walking toward Joke and sat down.
